Awful. I got a composite fillings on my two front teeth and the color didn't match up

So I went to Douglas Co dental because 1. I'm on disability & 2. I have very limited dental insurance and I felt like this was the place to go to get more bang for my low income buck! Wrong! Lay genial I went here and had 12 cavities the first visit I got 2 teeth done by Dr.B it was awesome have had zero complaints about those two teeth. My next appt I went in and was seen by Dr. Beisterfeld... she drilled 3 teeth left the room for over 45 minutes to exam another "patient". She was gone so long that she actually had to re-numb my mouth in order to finish. Mind you this entire time my roots had been exposed! The dental assistant didn't come back so she got tired of waiting and started without him! He finally showed up! She drilled away so much tooth on my nobler that by the time she was done filling it, I barely had a stump sticking out of my gums and my bite was completely off but I was so numb I couldn't tell at the time because she had to re-numb me to finish! My canine tooth has so much filling left on it I feel like I'm wearing a fake tooth over the top of my original tooth! There's ridges where the filling was not sanded down at all! So my third visit was wasted by me asking Dr.B (the other dentist) to please fix the tooth or pull it, he drilled it out and built it back up and said if it "survived" 6 months I'd probably need a crown!!! My 4th visit was again Dr. B who was running behind again so a dental assistant numbed me???? I've never had this done ever!!!! Only by a dentist! I was supposed to get 3 teeth fixed that day, they didn't have time so I only ended up getting one and the tooth was done so poorly that I have never been able to even chew on that side of my mouth since (it's been 5 months!!) and last night while I was flossing a chunk of that tooth fell off???? Amazing that you can spend $2000 worth if insurance money and get such a horrible job!! Regardless that you're a low income dentistry office you should still pride yourself in your work and give legit dental services! My wife left a review on their personalFacebook page and on yelp (they have both been removed since) and we both received letters that due to that negative review we are banned from Douglas county dental for life!!! No lie! As if I'd ever want to go back at this point!!!!! Let's not even get into the billing process that not only were they billing my insurance but having me pay my assumed portion out of pocket at the time of service which is (by the insurance companies own words) against the law to bill you for anything assumed until after insurance pays their portion and they know how much I truly owed for my portion!!!! So there's that as well.Update: 6/2020... another tooth that was taken care of by this place has been lost! Abscess and infection after two years of not even being able to bite down on the tooth they "fixed"!!! And come to find out my dental insurance paid 100% of my fillings and every time I had a filling done they had me stop and make an out of pocket payment for my 20% "co-pay"???? Way to go people!!!!

I went to the Douglas County Dental Clinic following a lot of work at the University Of Missouri Dental School. After getting a deep cleaning by Ashley, I returned for several fillings. I was scheduled for two appointments to get all my fillings done. Dr. Biersterfeld managed to not only do all of my fillings during the one appt., she also took the time to fill in the spaces between my gumlines and exposed roots that were causing me pain. This saved me from returning to the dental school for more gum grafts and was much cheaper, easier, and faster. This was more than I could ever have expected.

I think that the director at DCDC is very rude. She treats everyone unfairly and and makes everyone out to feel like they are the rude on. i have a new hoe in one of my teeth that I know we fixed and she wont even give common curtsy to look at it to see if her doctors messed up. Because I have a small balance. Not to mention they wont even let me come get my yearly teeth cleaning either. Which is covered by my insurance and is money in there pocket. I am tired of being treated like a mean person due to my financial state and I plan to get to the bottom of this women problem with me and lack of people skills.

I was called an hour before my scheduled appointment time only to be told I cant be seen. Why? Because my children missed appointments. In 2016. Ok. Fine. What isn't ok is that my Husband was seen just last year, im 2017, after our supposed family dismissal. Im in pain, with a broken tooth, yet this facility could care less.

Dr. Koester was Awesome!!! I was expecting to be rushed into something i didn't necessarily want to do, she took her time and was extremely thorough despite the time. She made sure i was comfortable and treated me like a human being!

Hated that place. I went there several times back a few years ago. They had no music or anything else that would relax you. My blood pressure went to dangerous levels while I was in the room. I have never been back. I'm not comfortable with how they do things. And I don't recommend going there. Not only that if you want to be put out for dental work. Be prepared to pay for it on another bill.

The tell you that the services they will be doing will be free or either a lesser amount prior to the procedure. After the procedure, it's way more than the price they gave you before. They are very rude and not professional at all.

I have been a patient for years. It is always a great experience and my oral health is getting attention it needs. I had another filling done recently and it was painless and feels great. Very compassionate and conscientious doctors and staff.

Outstanding customer service! The staff is very helpful and nice! I'd def recommend this practice to everyone! Myself and my child have been patients here and only have had great experiences!
