Outstanding reviews were confirmed true!The donuts are overpriced. But the quality and customer experience was outstanding!

Even before walking in, there was a sweet scent permeating the air. It was even more delicious smelling when you walk in. I was able to quickly order and they packed it immediately! For added convenience, they even have a drive thru window. They have a wide selection of donuts! But I chose to try the basics - glazed and chocolate. They were fresh and fluffy! The chocolate glaze was not too sweet but still strong in the chocolate flavor!

We wandered in while waiting for our reservation up the street. They have a wide variety of donuts that look tasty. We ordered a couple donuts and tried to order an iced coffee, but the didn't have coffee, so we settled for an energy drink. The donuts were ok. Cake was crumbly, and not too sweet. The real weird part of our visit was the two clerks working that evening. They spent the entirety of our visit talking about ticks and the one girl talked about ticks she found on herself while she was at work. That's not appetizing. The dining area was clean and it was air conditioned, so the ambiance was comfortable, but the conversation was definitely not.

I kept hearing great things about Donut King and finally decided to try it out for myself, and they did not disappoint. Not only were their variety of donuts both interesting and delicious, I found out that Donut King makes a cronut, which was all the rage about a decade ago. I made sure to try it as well and it stood out above the rest and was the best thing I tried. The young guy working was so friendly and clearly proud of working there. That makes me happy! The donuts are always great and today was no exception. Love their old fashioned and the orange! I prefer to go inside and look at the case, but they do have a drive through.

Stopped in last night after visiting vignettes with some friends because we needed a snack. The pumpkin donut was good, as was the cherry with sprinkles. The apple streusel donut was reallyyyy good. The staff was nice enough but not exactly friendly. The store wasn't the cleanest, but it wasn't bad either. The delicious donuts make it a 5 star though!

Former WWE referee and now talents person owns this shop with their wife. I heard all about it form their sister who was running the shop. That's cool! I wasn't expecting that.The service: Nice guy. But he gave me hot coffee's instead of iced coffee's but that wrestling guy's sister quickly stepped in and took care of it. Kudos on their customer service.It was a steady crowd of people coming in but Donut King was prepared- lots of workers on and assisting people.The donuts:Sea Salted Caramel: Not too rich or overwhelming for my taste buds, quite enjoyablePeanut Butter: Not too peanut buttery- just enough. I wish someone near me offered this donut!Glazed: Good. Soft, just enough glaze to not be over powerful but could be softer. (It's not hard but the best glazed donut I have ever had was very soft and airy if that makes sense)True score: 3.5

I don't get the fancy donut trend. Have you seen those? They're usually uniquely flavored with tons of toppings and cost $5+ each. That is not for me. A donut should be a simple pleasure you can acquire for little more than pocket change. An affordable sugary pillow of delight. Donut King has those aplenty. Whether you prefer yeast-raised or cake donuts, with sprinkles or simply iced, they have those and more, and they are indeed delightful. My recent assorted dozen came in at just under $20.The shop is open 7 days a week (!) and is bright and clean with helpful staff. They also have a drive-thru window available, but I like to go inside and see the stunning array for myself. The fun is in the choosing! However, I never leave without a sublime chocolate-iced, cream-filled bismark. It's very reminiscent of a favorite treat from my childhood, the Alligator from the long-gone but forever-missed Kelly's Bakery. An echo of the past, to be sure, but an appreciated one.

Our go to place for donuts in the northland! Their seasonal donuts are amazing. My mouth waters when I hear they have their pumpkin donuts out! Been going to Donut King for years and still love them.
