Oh my lord. This is a fabulous place to go and eat. Staff are friendly and service is fast. But the food is fabulous. Had the Chicken Fried Chicken, came with skin on mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans. There is a lot of food and you will take some home. Ordered the Gouda Mac and Cheese with it. The shrimp and grits and po boys were great as well. We hand many things to choose from. Locally own and operated. We had one of the owners server our table of 7. She was funny, got our jokes and we hope we made her night.

Hands down the best kept NON-SECRET in downtown Argentine, Kansas! You've GOT to try them for yourself! The food, service, ambiance all speak for themselves.Each time I stop in the food is consistent....sooo hot, fresh and delicious. I absolutely enjoy the Chef's menu choices because she puts a different spin on classic dishes and makes them taste delightful. She's not afraid to introduce new recipes and this makes my palate extremely happy! There always seems to be a steady stream of customers...some of which prefer to dine at the bar while watching a sporting event or others carry out and the rest dine in. Whatever your preference expect a good ole down home cooked meal prepared with lots of love.

The catfish platters we had were delicious! The host was so amazingly kind! The cook was gracious when she came out and asked us if we needed anything else. We will definitely return!

Food is always good. Love this place. I always think I'll have something different, but when I get there, my soul always says to get the shrimp and grits. Family loves fish and chips and chicken fried chicken.

The food was flavored well and warm. I had a two meat platter, which comes with two sides. We also ordered a few appetizers; fried okra, jalapeno cornbread, and the poppers.They were out of the poppers and that's what we wanted to taste most. They were also out of one of the other menu items, which we learned from the waitress after she took our orders. One of us wanted a meal to go and asked the waitress if she could put it in while we ate. The response was, "it'll take a while..." I'm not sure why that was necessary to mention as we'd just received our food and had just started eating.It took a while to be acknowledged when we entered and we were pointed in the direction of our table. Granted, it was a busy Sunday after church. The atmosphere was loud, which is nice to me because I love hearing the laughter and enjoyment of people. With more staff and customer service training, this place could be good for small and large groups. For now, I'd suggest placing carryout orders.

The food was seasoned and served to perfection. They don't have a bad item on the menu. The drinks were made expertly by the bartender. Our group of four had nothing but praise for this place. We will be regulars from now on. Definitely worth the drive.​

I don't want to give a review. We tried to go to Donnell's on Valentine's day for my birthday but they were closed. Wasn't sure if this was a "just for the night" or if they are permanently closed. I was bummed.

Donnell's has the best catfish I've ever had. I'm not a fish person at all and the catfish they make is so good I can't put it down. Everything I've had has always been amazing and everything looks and tastes like it's made in house. The okra and mashed potatoes with gravy are amazing too. The staff is always very friendly and the service is great

Excellent food. Great wings.I went early during the week, and although not busy. The service was good also.

My husband picked us up dinner. The catfish was cooked perfectly and the greens were delicious and tasted like the person who cooked them got the recipe from their grandma. Delicious!!
