If you ever find yourself out in the middle of nowhere Columbia and need a sugar rush, here you go. It's not fair to compare it to Dunkin or Krispy. I found myself out on Vanadiver a few times and stopped in a couple times. The donuts hurt my teeth, which is good. It was cheap sugar.

I used to get my doughnuts from a great place called Anjean's. Unfortunately they went out of business years ago, since then I've been stuck with Krispy Kreme, which is mostly fillers and preservatives.I tried Dixie Cream in the past, I think 2008 or 2009. Was not impressed. The doughnuts were bland. However recently they got some good reviews on various websites so I decided to check them out. TOTALLY different place, new staff, better recipes. Probably the first thing I noticed is you could smell everything.I've been trying a little of everything and it's all great. The icing, bavarian cream, yeast raised dough, everything is high quality and tastes amazing. I'm VERY happy there's finally a good doughnut shop in Columbia. Once you try this place you will never go anywhere else for doughnuts.

This is the wrong address for Dixie Cream Donuts. They are at 805 E Nifong in SoCo. and on Clark Ln at the Lake of the Woods exit. Don't know where anyone got this address as there hasn't been any donut shop there since I've been in Columbia - about 10 years!
