Disco Burger

WARNING: Pay for your parking if you end up in the lot between Il Lazzerone and Muni... Or avoid that lot altogether if you can. In the 15 minutes it took me to place an order to-go and walk back across the street, my car got towed off to Independence and I was charged $325. Five stars because a burger has to be pretty good for me to be involuntarily rage crying at the above scenario and still thinking "damn, this is a good burger". Will return to redeem my first experience

I had heard amazing things about Disco burger and wanted to try it out for myself. I just happened to be in the area so I stopped by. They are located nearby the City Market, outside of The Varsity Club. You can order at the truck or from a number of QR codes inside. I ordered from the code inside while grabbing a beverage. The online ordering system was easy and my food came out a lot quicker than I expected and it was accurate. I like that they bagged it up for an easy to go option. Or you can eat there at-outside or inside. The menu is pretty limited and they do accept minor changes, such as removing onions from a burger. I went with a double disco burger and fries. The burger was really good. It was juicy and good sized. I wasn't sure about the disco sauce initially but it grew on me. There was only the option to remove the sauce from the burger entirely and I really wanted it on the side. I'm sure you could order like that directly from the truck. But the sauce is good and there's really no need to do that. They serve crinkle cut fries in little boats with ketchup. Crinkle cuts are always good. I really have no complaints about the food. I will definitely return when I need another burger fix.

Alert!! Disco Burger is doing Sunday Brunch now! Well... "blunch" as they affectionately call it. You can of course still get the smash burgers, but for blunch, they have added a breakfast sandwich and hashbrowns! I am a self-proclaimed breakfast sandwich connoisseur, and this was so tasty! Love the paprika mayo and the hashbrown addition to a classic sausage egg and cheese! The other was ready quick and easy to pick up at the truck behind Varsity Club! Feeling blessed to live within walking distance to this breakfast sandwich!

Great food truck smburger outside Varsity Club in the river market. I loved the signature sauce on the burger and with the fries. I normally do not go for crinkle cut fries but they were surprisingly delicious. They were nice and crispy and went well with the sauce. I do apologize for the picture but the burger was just so good I had to dig right in! After my burger and fries, I followed it up with their pistachio cherry chocolate ice cream. The portion was pretty big and I ended up sharing. Overall, I loved the patio vibe as well as the Varsity Club. I am already craving another great burger.

There is a lot to like about Disco Burger...and a few things that were quite annoying.So what did i like you ask? Well the burger was pretty damn tasty. My double - $11.25 - was smashed flat as it should be with some nice crispy edges, lots of gooey runny cheese and a 'disco sauce" that only complimented the sandwich and the two vegetables - onions and pickles. Fries were crinkle cut - $3.00 - for a small serving. Annoyances...ordering. Scan a QC code, place your order on-line, pay with cc and then wait for a text to pick it up. That's all fine and dandy in the new economy but don't automatically request a 20% tip and charge me a service fee for using your ordering system. No one is providing any customer service skills here. I'm doing the ordering at my table, having to retrieve it, getting my own water at a large cooler...and you want 20% and a service fee charge...get out of here! Ketchup - I know that you didn't over indulge me with an abundance of fries, but two little packets...put the ketchup packets out with the water for self service and those of us the like to dip. 5 star burger, 3 stars for value and peripheral annoyances.

Literally the best damn veggie burg of my life. Can't wait to go back. I love how I can get great cocktails or mocktails at varsity club and just order from my phone and soon enough I'll be enjoying a tasty classic smash burger and fries. Much love

Feels good to have a burger from a place where I can wear my hat backwards. I got a double burger which means that there are TWO patties on it.I must add that I was pleased that a double burger did NOT double the price ! and the water was free from a jug!

The location/ patio area is the best part about this food truck. The burger is good but small. The bun was also smashed and the fries are expensive for a small serving of what looks like fries that came out of a freezer bag. There was no customer service but the wait wasn't long.

Best burger I've ever had! Came out fresh and had great flavor. The Crinkle fries are amazing too !! Will totally be back
