Diamond Bowl & Billiards

My group of 8 came in during a weekend around 1pm so it was pretty dead which was great for us! Plenty to do with pool/arcades/darts/etc. even though the bowling wasn't yet open. The food we ordered was good, and they had a great variety of drinks. Great spot to kill a few hours with friends, and the staff was very friendly!!

Came for the bowling, had so much fun-- and the burger was worth coming back for alone ! Several families and couples showed up for bowling -- and the billiards were also utilized. Looking forward to returning

This is Independence's version of an upscale bowling alley and they do an all right job of it.When you enter you'll walk through a bar / lounge area that includes a shoe rental space and then you'll walk up to the lanes. It's a standard bowling alley with a digital scoreboard and lanes painted up as pop art retro-ish versions of some of our past presidents. Don't worry, Harry Truman is included along with W, Slick Willy and Tricky Dicky. There's a party room area off to the side as well.The food menu was a bit basic and features your regular bar food options. The drink menu is fairly similar. I think if you stick with the basics then you'll do fine, but honestly this place isn't about the food or the craft cocktails, it's all about having a good time and enjoying the experience.I stopped by for a work party so I'm not privy on the regular lane rentals or what it takes to plan a party, but I did have a good time and I would probably stop by more often if I hung out in the area.

The chicken tenders were really good. But the service was seriously slacking. It was us and another table and we waited forever for our food, saw it sitting in window for awhile too. The server didn't really pay attention at all, and the bartender didn't seem to want to help run food. The server forgot to ring in our fries and we were pretty much done when they finally came out. It got little busier when we were about done and people started to come in to bowl. Seemed like a fun place, but at certain times on the weekend there needs to be more staff.

Brought a work party here and the drinks were warm and watered down. Good being delivered was ok but not given to people just sat on a table. Beer was warm and whole place had weird vibes.

As a recent resident of Independence, MO. I was invited to Play pool at the Diamond Bowl. My first visit was unimpressive, the service was terrible, food was ok though...but again...the service??? Very dissapointed!! I had the opportunity to go again, and Due to the first visit, I was reluctant. However, what a surprise!! We were taken care of really well!!! The food was still good..in fact, the chef even asked us how it was and if there was anything she could have done better...really?? A pool hall and they cared??? Totally impresssd!! There was a recent management change, he even came and introduced himself to us, James, which was again.... awesome!! I think he may just be why things are turning around at the Diamond Bowl!! They were very attentive and will definatelly go back with friends and family!!! Thanks Diamond Bowl for being a great family friendly Place to go!!!

Bowling is fun! Easy parking. Beers and food are good. We received prompt service on a Friday night.

This place has so much potential yet they don't go towards it. The wait for food took forever, and then they get the order wrong. It's not the first time this has happened either. Don't get me wrong staff is very friendly. I won't give up hope for this place because it's independence and I like to support locally. Just needs work.

I'll make this short and sweet... young staff needs better training... waited while bartender took a call on her cell phone to find out they were out of pitchers for beer!?? Lanes kept setting after first throw so if u want three shots a frame it's a plus. Staff was not helpful at all when balls wouldn't come back. they were booked on lane reservations till 10 pm when at 6:15 they had 5 lanes open... our hour ended at 6 and we would have been more than willing to wait a 20 minute window and take the place of a no show... I won't be going back!! We left after our hour and went to another alley.

This is a really cool place to have in the square! Bowling, pool tables, arcade games, food, and a bar with a very friendly staff. I would recommend this to any who is a fan of classic lanes.
