Derailed Coffee Bar & Cafe

Funky, fun little place next to the train depot's Rivers and Rails Museum. Large selection of coffee and tea drinks as well as smoothies and blenders. Biscuits and gravy were on point, peppery but not overly so, didn't have to add anything. Fun, friendly and efficient staff. Cool, eclectic decor. Outside upper deck seating if that's your thing, but at 90° and 72% humidity I chose an air conditioned inside table.

Aside from some of the most expensive menu options in Boonville, ordered a Mocha and was promptly informed: "We are not ALLOWED to serve whipped cream."I'm pretty sure I've never been told this, like is serving whipped cream on a $6 coffee "not allowed " because you're special? Is whipped cream like some sort of commodity in short supply? Here's something, if I'm paying you $6-$7 for a coffee you will put whip cream in it or I will take my business somewhere else. I've been to this business 4 times, I WILL NOT be back.

We drove here to take a break while driving on I-70. It was totally worth the short trip. The staff was very friendly, and the food was fantastic!

I'm giving Derailed a high rating because they're bringing more good coffee to Katy Trail riders! For that, we appreciate you. It's right by the Boonville trailhead and looks wonderful. Full disclosure, we got there an hour after they closed and didn't get to experience it, but I like the vibe they're putting out. We'll definitely ride a little faster next time to try this place out. I love the Katy Trail, but finding good coffee along the trail is harder than finding gold in Missouri, so I'm excited to dig into this further.

Got here nice and early on a Saturday morning. They were training new staff, so they had limited hours this week. Decided on the breakfast panini and a seasonal selection: ice ice berry, which was quite tasty.Highly recommend for anyone from the area or most especially anyone biking the Katy Trail - it looks really convenient to the path, though weather kinda messed up my plans for riding it. Friendly staff and good eats and drinks

Food is awesome. Many heathy choices and warm friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

On our way across the state, we needed lunch and a coffee. We got there about 30 minutes before closing and were warmly welcomed. The place is comfortable and cozy. We ordered the Simple Engineer (an elevated ham and cheese), the Pulled Pork and a couple of mochas. All were fantastic. We will definitely stop here again!

Awesome place with super nice workers! I got the granola bowl, and it did not disappoint. The greek yogurt is phenomenal, the best I've ever had! Also it came with the biggest most delicious blueberries ever. The smoothies are also fantastic! I tried an iced caramel latte and it was soooooo good. For sure check this place out because when I'm in town again i know i will!

Came in late morning to get coffee and breakfast and use Wi-Fi for a little business. They were friendly and helpful throughout. Coffee was great (and definitely NOT the over-roasted kind you get at the big chain) And breakfast was excellent. We stayed long enough to get lunch and it was great as well. Good quality, very clean small cafe. Very convenient to Katy Trail, casino and downtown Boonville. We'll definitely be back. This is my wife's hometown and and this is very convenient while we visit family.
