I love Mexican food. It's a real treat to my tummy. Kinda like Christmas for your tongue--all that cheese and hot sauce. YUM! My hubby and I were driving around and ended up with Mexican food on our table! The look on my hubby's face says it all. Generous portionsClean environmentPleasant timely serviceEnjoyable!Really glad we decided to go. ;-)

It's a challenging, interesting course. The staff is nice. However, two major problems especially when you consider how much a round costs.Problem 1: tee boxes. The grass is almost cement like and their markers (grey, black, red, etc) look flimsy and cheap. I had trouble getting my driving tees in deep enough because the ground was so hard.Problem 2: the bunkers. Most are top notch, but at least 4 different holes have just absolutely neglected, weed filled bunkers. It really just makes it look like a poorly managed course. I heard they are under new ownership (again). Hopefully these owners actually care about making the experience match the price.

My sister had her wedding here this weekend. I was really impressed with the entire staff and the effcient way the event was run. From the Wedding coordinator, to the event staff, to the Golf Shop employees. We rode in the golf carts to take some wedding pictures and I got to see some of the course. It was gorgeous. I would reccommend Deer Creek to golfers and future brides alike!

Really disappointed in this course. On almost every hole there was someone either fixing the sand or mowing the fairway. Thought this would be a one time thing when i went a couple weeks ago but i was wrong as it happened again today. Both times the entire course was being worked on in the 12-3 pm period i was there. Maintenance on any respectable course is done before sunrise. I also tried to buy a gatorade from the cart lady. It was 3.25 so i proceeded to give her a 5. I was owed 1.75 in return but she gave me a dollar drove away. When i yelled for her to stop, she acted like she couldn't hear. Guess they tip themselves. After starting on the back 9 for some reason, we came around to hole #1 to see an 8 some (!). I thought the most you could play with was four. I think deer creek should invest in a driving range type net to protect the parking lot on hole one. I saw at least 3 people in the 8 some fire one straight into the parking lot. When i came back to the lot the car next to me had a dent that looked to be from a golf ball. Overall, this is a below average course that has clear management issues. Could easily be improved with much better leadership.

The course is beautiful but horrible experience. We are Great Life members out of Wichita but were treated as if we were not welcome. Regulars of the course started targeting our cart with golf balls as we were playing in front of them because things weren't going as they had planned--one actually landed in our cart. The staff was nice but they did not handle the situation properly. Basically we got pushed out to make sure the other members were happy.

Deer creek has been around for 20 plus years, and still enjoy the challenge of the layout. Looking at lush zoysia fairways and nicely appointed homes, makes the golfing experience.Sunny, 70 degrees, light wind, two buddies and 18 holes of golf, great way to spend a day. Course was in decent shape, greens were aerated, bumpy and kinda slow, traps were in good shape, fairways are just coming in, tee blocks were nice. Best part was I won a tournament a few years back and finally used my free round...so to make a great course even better...make it free.Head out to deer creek, take a couple extra balls, there's plenty of trouble lurking at deer creek...

Played this course today and was pretty impressed. The previous night there was a wicked thunderstorm that whipped through the area causing the course to be soaked. They did a really good job of draining the place and it wasn't to water logged. There were a handful of bunkers that were washed out and one tee box that was being worked on for which they provided a temporary tee box. The course overall is a little on the short side which helped me to an 89 even though I didn't play that well. No cart girl to be found after 2pm tho.

This course recently did a complete overhaul on their greens. The course is in great shape and the club house is really nice. The course is challenging and has some beautiful fairways. Pin placement is a little goofy at times. I've never really seen a course that likes to have a pin placement a foot from the front of the green, it's a bit much.Green fees range from $28 (senior) to $59 (weekends). 6811 yards from the Green Tees. Play can be a little slow at times. The only thing that I don't like about this course is their make shift driving range. It's not very good and is not designed to spend a lot of time practicing. Other than that, it's a pretty decent course.

In the past I have really enjoyed golfing here. But in 2014, this course has really gone down hill. While it still has the excellently maintained bunkers, which make the course challenging by both their quantity and quality, everything else leaves much to be desired. Here we are, the end of May and the fairways look burnt, as if they aren't being irrigated properly. The tee boxes are just absolute crap. It's as if the grounds grew is simply mowing and doing nothing else. Also the bridge on #10 was washed away late last year/early this year due to flooding and it appears like there isn't any rush to fix it. So you either tee off and then drive all the way around and come back, or you drive all the way around and come back to tee off from a make shift spot in the #10 fairway making it a par 3. Yeah, I'm gonna pass thanks.it's sad really, because the course is laid out so well and presents a challenge for any golfer. For the money I'd check out some of the other courses in the area.

This course needs help, it's a total disaster. Tee boxes have no grass, bunkers have no sand. Little maintenance is preformed other than mowing. At one time this was a premier Kansas City golf course but you can hardly recognize it from its former glory. Sad to said I hope to never play there again unless they spend a couple of million fixing this place up. Oh, there green fees are insane, how do they stay in business?
