OMG! Is this place fabulous or what? We went on a very rainy night, a group of us, about 8 people. I had the steak with fresh peas (which I really don't care for, but these were good.). I saw the others' selections. I wish I could remember them all, pork medallions, some kind of seafood dish, everyone was very pleased. We were the only ones there because a large group had cancelled. It is a wonderfully intimate and pleasant setting and we spent several hours there, drinking wine and cocktails and slowly enjoying our dinner and the owner and servers were fabulous! Soup, salad and bread were nice starters. I will definitely come back.

We had heard about this place "way out in the country" and were intrigued. We went with another couple for the adventure. There was not a single complaint from the 4 of us. I would have been completely satisfied with simply the cozy atmosphere, but when the 4 course meals started coming, we were all super-impressed. We all started with the butternut squash soup (amazing), then onto the salads with dressing that came in anything from a mason jar to a wine bottle. 3 of us has the ribeye, that was marinated and cooked to perfection. Deserts included backberry cobbler with ice cream served in a wine glass, Chocolate Kahlua molten cake with coffee ice cream, and German chocolate pie. We can't wait to return and try other items on the menu. HUGE applause to Chef Katie and her daughter, our server, Maclyn!

My husband and I have been wanting to visit the Dancing Bear for some time now. We finally made it this weekend and it didn't disappoint. It has a calm relaxing and warmly lit atmosphere where you feel welcome and not rushed. We enjoyed the soup, salad and homemade bread, pork loin with corn fritters and black beans and the red hot shrimp and peppers. It was all delicious. We had the blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert. It was amazing. I loved how relaxed the atmosphere was. We didn't feel rushed at all and the chef even came out and talked with us. Made us feel welcome and appreciated for coming out. We will definitely be back.

This place was amazing, the drive is quite a trip and it feels like a joke until you see the quaintly lit house at the end of the farm road. The food was amazing. Each dish sounded delicious, i personally had the pork tenderloin and it was phenomenal. the dishes run about $20-$25 but include healthy portions wish soup and salad with bread to start. If you plan to drink a fine bottle of wine make sure to bring your own! glasses are provided for a $2 corking fee per person, which is quite reasonable. If there is one thing this place has the most of it is atmosphere, the dining area is made of an old chicken coupe and completely refitted to have a country dining room feeling. And also there was christmas music playing the entire time :D its hard not to enjoy yourself when christmas music is around. I would definitely recommend this for a special destination date, but make sure to make reservations in advance. The only con of this place is that they are only open on the weekend.

A nice destination for a group or a couple. The bread and soup were starters and very good. The salad was fresh and with lots of variety. The steak was without taste. However the pork got raves. The service was outstanding and watching the peacocks added to the ambiance.
