Cycle City

Business is a decent size. The store front is clean and inviting. I was greeted by a very friendly small dog. Everything you could possibly need for riding is inside. The inventory was expansive and reasonably priced.

I just did my first ride out of this location, and it was amazing! The shop is awesome and the staff is great. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I chatted with them about getting a cheap bike for my second cousin's first year of college and within days they called me to come in and look at one that had come in. It was perfect. Thanks for all the help and the fun rides. :)

Really knowledgeable, very friendly and engaging, prices are great, service is truly expert. Highly recommend. For years I had been plagued by flat tires on my beloved hybrid bike, and the two shops I tried before (over a period of years) would fix my tires/problems every time, but never got to the root causes (or at least never really explored what the root causes could be, with me). Cycle City changed all that by teaching me what I was ignoring and what I was doing wrong. It's been months and I haven't had a problem since. Will be back for all my cycling needs . I also very much appreciate the fact that like many shops this place is very much a magnet/hangout for hard core cyclists. I am not one of them, but I really enjoy riding my bike, in my own way, on the weekends. Regardless, at Cycle City, more than other bike shops I've been to over the last many years, I feel welcome, and appreciated, and my "level" of aptitude when it comes to cycling has nothing to do with how I'm treated. I really appreciate this place and will be back.

I recently visited the Parkville store for support while I was in town. They helped me out on a bike rental so I could get a couple of rides in while I was in town. Of course it's a bit of a crap shoot when you have to find a store in a town that is not your home so I was a bit worried that it might not be a success. I called before I went in and I got a great vibe right through the phone. They were willing to talk to me about what I needed and filled me in on my options. When I went in I was very happy to find a great bike store, filled with top tier bikes and accessories, and some used bike options too. They also had a crew busy in their service area working on bike repairs, etc. Even better, all of the people I interacted with were genuinely engaged in the business. I felt like they were all interested in making sure all of the customers were getting cared for. I know, mushy right, but it is so hard to find that these days. If you are in the KC area and you are in need of a real good bike shop, go to Cycle City, you'll be glad you did.
