Culture House

My daughter always likes the class The down side is. They keep asking for extra money. If you look on Kansas non profit page the bring in over 1.5. Million dollars a year. So where is it going? Every time something breaks the ask for money in a way that if you don't give the will close their doors. That is getting old.

The Culture House is one of the best performing arts academies in Kansas City. The dance technique, and experience levels of the staff in all areas of he academy is astounding. TCH offers dance, theater, and music classes. If you're looking for quality training go here. Störling Dance Theatre is in residence at The Culture House.

2 years ago, my daughter started taking lessons, classes and performing in TCH shows. Everyone involved with TCH have been an incredible blessing to us!

We absolutely LOVE The Culture House!! TCH is like a second home for us...We have been part of the "family" for a year now and it's been amazing!! This welcoming place has changed both my daughters lives forever...TCH has woken up both their little stars within!! Amazing people, dedicated teachers, talented kids, friendly staff, safe environment, great location ... I just can't say enough good things about this place!! My daughters have already created memories and friendships that will last a lifetime...needless to say how they keep getting better and better at their craft!! There's always something new and exciting going on at TCH!! From the best summer camps in town to music, voice lessons, acting, art, dance, musical theater productions, and everything performing arts, look no more! The Culture House is the place to be!! I give them a million stars!!!

I went to the Culture House for violin lessons, surprisingly not dance/theater lessons. I LOVED IT. My violin teacher LaVonne McDaniel was single handedly one of the coolest ladies I have ever met with a heart of gold. She is a fantastic teacher and I recommend her, and everything Culture House stands for, very much.

The Culture House is the best place to send your kids! From dance classes to acting classes they have it all. Their performances are professional and well done. All the kids are so talented! We highly recommend sending your kids here for a quality, healthy arts experience!

The Culture House is amazing! My son has been has been involved for years with The Culture House with various classes and productions! It is like a second home to him and us! The staff is very warm, inviting, and professional from the front desk to the founders and all the teachers and directors! The other children and their families involved are also welcoming and wonderful!Truly a safe, family friendly place where your child can go and gain important life skills that move beyond theater and the arts! Highly recommend The Culture House!!!

This place is a second home to my daughter. She probably would like it to be her first. She is involved in the theater, dance, and music programs here and just keeps asking for more time at TCH! My son has taken drum lessons here and that has been an exceptional experience as well. Cant say enough good things about this place. We have been here for years and have been "asked for money" as another reviewer says only one time. Even then, it was only an ask, not added to tuition or made to pay a fee or something. It takes a ton of money to produce just one show and they do many, many shows each year. They always do what they can to keep costs down!

Lacks diversity, good for lower level dancers not for students you have had more than 10 years. Not worth the cost, training is marginal at best. I would recommend KCB.

Previous review probably written by very advanced dancer -- TCH has plenty of variety in dance, also offers theatre, music classes. They perform a musical every summer, hold camps, teach classes and even host guest lectures; home of acclaimed Storling Dance Theatre!
