Kind of disappointing. My husband and I came here for an outdoor activity and found the rink to be small and overcrowded. Teenagers in the middle and parents on the outside. The ice looked really rough. We didn't even bother getting tickets.

Stepped out after a birthday dinner and found myself at the ice starting rink. The line wasn't bad and the process to get skates was super easy. You trade in your shoes for skate plus a fee to be there with a skate rental fee.I have never been and it does a number on your ankles.I did enjoy the experience. If you have never been give it a try.

The ice is well maintained and resurfaced every hour. Skates could be a little sharper but are good overall. Staff is quick to get you a pair of skates upon checking in.

We had a great time opening weekend. The staff is friendly, although they did share that they're short staffed. That's where the reservations come in - you can reserve your time on the ice to alleviate a long wait time for skates/service. Cost is average and the crowd was minimal. There are a few chairs and tables around the rink, and a small concession stand, but we brought our own snacks.

How could you not love ice skating at Crown Center around the holidays? If you're there around the Christmas season, or even into January, the setting is remarkable; The Mayor's Christmas tree towering over the Crown Center square, thousands of bright white lights on the darkest days of the year, and a playground of nutcrackers set up for the kids to go nuts at. While I've only actually ice skated a few times here, it always holds a spot on the wintertime 'to-do' list. The prices are very fair ($11 for skating and skate rental per adult, free for 60+ and 4 and under), and the skating itself is surprisingly fun. My pro tip? Lace those suckers up TIGHT. I always forget that there's almost no such thing as tying them too tight because you'll need the ankle support. You may or may not bite it, but hey, that's part of the experience if you do. Parking is a breeze if you snag a spot in the garage on the east side of Grand, and leads you directly into the ice terrace. There's not a ton to capitalize on outdoors from late December through February around these parts, so it's nice to have something reliable, fun, and unique like this ice terrace.

A Fun Activity to Do Anytime of Day with Family and/or Friends. This is a nice skating rink, right in the middle of Crown Center. Stop by for shopping, skating, and then a bite to eat at one of the restaurants. The skating rink lends itself to Christmas time with lights, decorations, and activities that are fun for everyone. You go in a counter-clockwise circle and there's enough room for people of all skill-levels. You have a great view of the Mayor's Christmas tree and a playground area for kids (and adults) to run around in. It's a great spot to hit first, then walk over to Union Station to ride the Street Car through downtown, end up at City Market, and ride back.

This spot was great during the weekday, way less crowds than the weekend. When we went it was perfect, we also witness a couple proposing in the middle of the Ice Rink. Soooo beautiful. Everything was easy, from reserving a time entry online, short line and check out was a breeze. There's lockers in case if you need one and they do trade your shoes for skates so you will remember to go back and check out. This is great for a date night or out with your friends. You do have to wear your masks. Would go back.

Apparently doing any type of skating other than forward skating in the designated direction is not allowed. No matter how not-in-the-way you are. It's fine, I can give my money to another ice rink to practice.

We love going skating here for the holidays. This space is transformed for a variety of events, but is especially nice for ice skating. Tip: Go on a weekday when school is back in session after winter break. Usually there are few people on the ice. The past 2 times we have gone, we had about 30 min on the ice to ourselves. Perfect date! The staff is friendly and the accommodations are very nice. You know how some ice skates can seem gross and really hurt your feet? I haven't had any complaints with their skates. They Zamboni the rink every hour, so the ice is always smooth and easy to skate on. It is a great place to go with friends or a specialm someone. Get out there before they close in March!
