Cosmo Burger

Perfect tots, perfect crunch, and soft and pillowy on the inside. I ordered the double cheeseburger like it came. I always try it the way they serve it the first time. It was perfect! My wife might add a little lettuce and I might add some mustard instead of the burger sauce, but those are personal preferences.It is a perfect cheeseburger as it is served. If there is a better cheeseburger in Kansas City, I would like to know it. Because this is the best one I've had. Way to go, Cosmo Burger!!

Ordered my burger with no pickles, which doesn't seem like it should be a hard request, but evidently it's an issue for the cooks here. When I took my burger back to the counter, the bartender told me that it'd be remade, and I went and sat back down. 3 minutes later, to my surprise, the cook emerged from the kitchen with my "new" burger, which he had just scraped the pickles off of(except about a 1/4" piece he missed) and tried to pass it off to me as a "new" burger. I'm not sure what was worse, the fact that he just scraped it off, which I could have easily done, if I still wanted to eat a burger that tasted like pickles, or the fact that as I took it back the second time, and asked for my money back, that he only then offered to re make it. Probably should have just done that in the first place right? There are certainly better burgers around town I can get for less than the $25 I just about spent for this.....So glad that I pre tipped also, to get that level of excellent service! Needless to say we won't be back....

I was super excited to try this spot and what a poppin' place! You order at a kiosk and get a text when your order is ready. It was a Friday night so our order took a few minutes. The burgers themselves were classic old fashion cheeseburgers. The cheese was so melty and soft. The sauce wasn't anything special in my opinion-- similar to a honey mustard/burger sauce. The tater tots were crispy but would have been excellent with some salt or seasoning.

These are probably one of the better burgers in the KC area, but I think there's room for improvement in execution. Perhaps a few more combination options in terms of toppings, or at least a better balance on the standard burger currently offered would be a gamechanger.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while now because I'm always looking for the best burger. This is inside Lenexa Public Market. You put in your order on a screen at the counter. Then they send you a text when it's ready. It was ready very fast. This is seriously a great burger! I got extra sauce which I'm so happy I did. I'm not sure what's in it but it's mustardy and I love that. Juicy and saucy that got all over the place when I ate it. What more could you ask for. I also got the tater tots, which were excellent. Crispy on the outside and came with dipping sauce. Probably some of the best tater tots I've ever had. Cosmo Burger is definitely one of the top five I have ever had. I'll be back for sure.

So maybe a messy burger isn't for everyone. And maybe you like more 'craft' burgers with fancy add-ons or whatevs, and a zillion side options.Then this is not your place.BUT, if you like a smashed patty burger, house made pickles, & a signature sauce, then Cosmo Burger might be your jam. You get your patties - single, double, triple - and either get the standard dress (cheese, grilled onion, pickles) and go from there. You can even order a meatless option, a Beyond Meat patty that plays for those with alternative diet choices. Order on the kiosk and fix it up how you want (a double is just right), add on tots if you want, and they'll text you when your order is ready.The burgers can be a mess, so you may not even put one down once you start. The 'burger sauce' is a kicked up honey-mustardy condiment, certainly unique and compliments the burger seasoning well. You can wash it back with one of their local and national beers on tap or even a specialty kegged cocktail. If you wish to stay inside, then you can pull up a seat at the bar as you enjoy your burger and beverage while sportsball or other interests are on the TVs above the bar.Lenexa's Public Market has plenty of seating but if the weather is agreeable, I highly suggest being outside. There is ample seating plus in cooler weather or during cool nights, the fire pits get lit with Adirondack seating surrounding the fire. The seating is shared with other food court options, so only the Cosmo bar is dedicated to them. Enjoy your burger there or to go, but in any event, smash your smashed burger and you'll want more.

This is Lenexa city center and it is a food court. It is like dining in a mall but more expensive. I wish I would have known this. That being said, the burgers were fine. If I was close I'd stop back by for a burger but I wouldn't buy $1.50 worth of tots for $4.

Okay so this is an unpopular opinion, but I think Cosmo Burger is pretty average for a burger place. I'm not sure if it was all the five star reviews, or the photos I've seen, but I was geared up and ready to be blown away by this little unassuming burger joint. I came on a weekend, ordered a cheeseburger with tots and extra burger sauce - I mean, who doesn't love a specialty condiment? We ordered at the kiosk and our food came out in a reasonable time. No complaints from anyone at the table (me, my husband, our daughter, and a friend), but everyone agreed it didn't quite live up to the overall hype. The burger sauce to me tasted like a very run of the mill honey mustard. I was happy to have it, but it wasn't exactly what any of us were expecting. I think it's really more of a 3.5, but I'm rounding up to 4 stars since the burger was tasty and I do think I'll return sometime when I'm in the area. Overall - Cosmo Burger delivers a good, standard burger that will 100% scratch the itch you have for a good old fashioned cheeseburger. I'll be back to see if maybe I just missed something, but for me it just wasn't the best in this genre.

Great burgers! I was a little bit disappointed that they had no onion rings or fries. However, the tater tots are great & you get a generous portion. A double-bacon cheeseburger with tots and a craft beer were all I could eat.

it doesn't get much better than a cheeseburger, tots, and ice cold beer on the menu: double cheeseburger with an egg, single cheeseburger with an egg, tots x 2, and draft beers our thoughts: there's a reason the burgers from Cosmo Butger are one of KC's favorites. simple ingredients done really well makes for a truly delicious burger, and one we keep coming back for our tip: definitely don't skip the tots and highly recommend adding an egg, it makes an already delicious burger even more decadent
