Awesome fried chicken for a supermarket!
Thanks Brookside Market. Bought this last Sunday (10-9-16) and almost served it to my family.

This is a nice neighborhood grocery store. They have all the staple items you'd expect, the staff is always friendly, and it's easy enough to navigate. Recently they added on a wing around their deli, and it looks a little more suburban than the area but not a total eyesore. I often feel you can judge a grocery store by their produce quality, and here it's always pretty good if not a bit more expensive than other stores. They also have a nice bakery area, beer & wine, and all the candy my girls could ever want to find. Not a place I do my weekly shopping but absolutely fantastic for popping in for a quick thing here or there.

I'm a fan of this neighborhood grocery store, nestled in charming Brookside. It has been around now for a long time, long enough to really become a staple of the area, and it feels the same to me walking in now as it did when I lived in the neighborhood about twelve years ago. Back when I worked down the street from here, and lived nearby, I used to pop in here frequently for beer, wine, and to indulge in their great salad bar. I don't often find myself grocery shopping in this part of town any longer, but when I do I always notice that they still have a great selection of local items, including beer and wine. AND, they still rock a great salad bar. I popped in here most recently thinking I might try one of the waldo take and bake pizzas that I'd heard were rumoured to be available, and was a bit sad that I would have to get thin crust to get any meats on a 'za. Definitely not Cosentino's fault, but that would be an improvement as I'm not a waldo thin crust fan. At any rate, I think you'll find most of what you need here at a somewhat reasonable price. I'd put prices somewhere in between whole foods and price chopper. While you might pay a little more than going down the street to Price Chopper, you'll find a cleaner shop, and tons more local options, which I always enjoy. Now that I live a little bit further out I find visiting this grocery store to be a bit nostalgic, and I enjoy seeing what little treasures I can find if I find myself here.

Great little neighborhood market, love all the premade / cooked food. A bit pricy. But when I don't want to make the drive to get the better prices this is my go to. And again, I can go buy it already to eat which is awesome.

Not a huge store, so it's easy to just pop in & out. They have a fabulous wine selection. Was nearby and needed a quick small birthday gift- got everything I needed here (Hallmark card & a box of Russell Stovers candy) and the cashier was super nice. Parking is a bit tricky. The main lot just isn't big enough, but sometimes there are spots on the south side of the store.

Love having this lovely market in our wonderful Brookside neighborhood!Love love love the fresh meat cabinet that is obviously lacking in the nearby competition. The selection is fantastic and very competitively priced.Great little eating area outside surrounded by fresh flowers and close bike parking. Car parking is convenient and quick.Products are wonderful and fairly priced...cheeses are AWESOME! Best veggie and fruit selection within miles!I do wish they had a better wine selection...their options are vast but NOT competitive to other local stops...I'm a one-stop kind of guy...don't make me drive up the street to save money on wine...lord knows I buy enough of it!!

What has happened to this store? The cold cuts are now all pre-cut, not freshly sliced. The salad I bought yesterday was rotten and toxic. I noticed some vegetables in better shape than others.I used to like this store, but will not return.

For me it is convenient. I do frquent other stores Prices are outages, especially plant based, cheese. Food is good. Regular Employed there, lovely people. Some cashiers they can do without. High overturn. Ambiance??? A restroom, I had to use once, out of commison. I was sent to the underbelly of this establishment. Discusting behind the sceen. Your employees deserve better. Big Corp. could care less. Talks about remodeling but no action. The rewards app. is nothing to write home about. Nothing for dogs, only cats, household chemicals galore. never mind organic. But like I said Convenient.

When it was local kids doing a little fundraising for their local schools or teams it was bearable. Now that professional fundraisers have taken over and subject shoppers to a constant barrage it has made this store a little less pleasant to shop at.

This used to be a great grocery store with wide variety of products good produce and well stocked shelves that was when Charles was the manager ! The store has rapidly declined since then yesterday I went shopping there as I do severalTimes a week the eggs shelf was done to one brand Best Choice the frozen food section had no chicken wings and the whole section was picked over and barren I need pork ribs the butcher had to get the last post but in the case to cut some for me ! Yet the liquor dept is always stocked thanks to David and the bakery is decent ! I went to Hy Vee in Mission found four kinds on wings four different brands of eggs and a beautiful produce dept ! Guess where I will be driving to in the future ? I live 5 minutes from Consatinos but I'm done with them
