Don't let the area discourage you. Pendleton Heights has done a complete 180 and this place is perfect for the area. It's one of the coziest coffee spots in the city and I had no idea it existed until today. Coffee was amazing and will definitely be back. If you're in the PH or NE KC area and want to avoid the busy coffee spots downtown, this is your place!

Super cute coffee shop! It's a walkable distance from the university and we stopped on our way out of town. I ordered a latte with avocado toast. When I placed my order, they said they were out of avocado but they checked to make sure. It was around 11:30 am on a Sunday and I think they close at around 2 pm. My only complaint would be to make sure there's enough ingredients so you don't inconvenience customers. I ended up getting the last avocado toast before they ran out. Clean bathrooms however one of them has no paper towels. There's plenty of seating inside and some outside as well.

My friends and I came here on a Sunday morning around 9-10ish and it wasn't too busy yet, but the line was a bit slow-moving because there were only two workers behind the counter. The experience overall was great, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere of the place was warm and homey. Coffee and tea were phenomenal, pastries were mid--but you really do get a large amount of coffee for how much you pay! Definitely worth the wait!! Took these photos with my camera to capture the cozy vibes

Such a cozy spot in Pendleton Heights, loved all of the greenery inside and seating options. The Berry Parfait was incredible, it's made with Greek yogurt and the perfect amount of honey/jam to give it just a little sweetness and homemade granola. I will be coming back for this again soon! Had a cold brew with blackberry and a splash of half and half- delightful. Staff was very friendly and gave great recommendations.

I had this coffee shop on my radar since I had seen it listed any time I conducted a search for coffee shops I hadn't been to in the K.C area. It appeared pretty large from the pictures; however, as we all know pictures can be deceiving. What I can say is when I first entered the place, my impression was "too close for comfort," plus it has those metal soda shop type chairs (shown in images). Maybe a total of ten tables and the one upper section shown as main image on Yelp, is a small narrow section with five tables there. So, when busy (as it was when we showed up) not the best and most quiet place for study or work, or to have a private conversation. There was this one man who kept walking around to each table trying to give a sales pitch. Who knows? The people at the counter were friendly, and for such a small place I was surprised to see the counter staffed with more the two people. I've been to bigger coffee shops with less staff behind the counter. The drip coffee was good, and that is a good thing for anyone who lives in the neighborhood because this is an ideal neighborhood coffee shop. There was only side street parking, so it's most convenient to walk down here, and with that this place can be cozy once the crowd leaves. The breakfast sandwich was very satisfying. Husband and I both had the egg, cheddar with chipotle mayo on wheat breakfast sandwich. I added bacon to mine, and it was tasty that way. The only thing was that the menu stated it was supposed to have was arugula, and our sandwiches didn't have it.

Coffee: I got a iced latte with oat milk & strawberry with brown sugar cinnamon. I love mixing coffee flavors to see what I get. They have a lot flavors to choose from. My mixing tasted like the old strawberry and chocolate ice cream out of a tub I had at birthday parties as a kid so nostalgic. It was a hint of cinnamon and had a good balance of coffee and flavor not too sweet. Location is kind of hidden and it's on a one way street that was crowded and not many parking spots available at 8 am. I happen to look up coffee shops near me since my go to was closed and didn't realize this was down the street from my house. I'll have to come during the work week to get a different wfh scenery. The inside is really cute hanging plants and books will always be a nice vibe. There is a good amount of seating and they had music playing but not very loud volume. I had a little wait but each employee acknowledged me and was very polite.

I came here because the pictures of the inside were beautiful. It's not an easy drive to get here. It's down a one-way street. You almost have to go around in circles to find it. When I got there, I saw that the pastries they had were from Costco not impressed. I ordered an iced mocha and asked the young man if he had Lavender he said yes. So I ordered lavender mocha with light ice. he later came to me and told me bad news we are out of Lavender, so he offered a substitute of rose. he brought me the drink full of ice when I told him light ice it wasn't very busy so I'm not sure why he got my order wrong. 2 disappointments. So if you wanna place with a nice environment, this place has a nice environment, but the pastries and coffee are so so they need to up their food selection. And pay closer attention to customers orders and what they are out of.

We had our puppy with us on this trip, and trying to have lunch was challenging since we wanted to find a place with a patio, but the two places we stopped at were full. So we were tired at this point and ended up stopping here. The owner was personable. I ordered a café au lait, americano, and two sandwiches. She was on the phone with someone, and another staff was making the sandwiches; still, I waited a bit for my order even though mine was the only one they were working on. I like the packaging; very sturdy, same for the coffee cups. Anyway, we like the coffee. The sandwiches were tasty and reasonably priced, but the turkey was tough. Still, it was a decent lunch, and it was what we needed, something quick and easy for the road home.

This is a great neighborhood coffee place. Ambiance is nice and comfy, the place is bright and spacious, there are some art pieces for sell, some live plants and some books/games for kids. The staffs are polite and friendly. Coffee I got was ok, but not bad. The food though was amazing. I got the breakfast sandwich, it was freshly made, the thick eggs combined with overflowing cheese and toasted toast, the epic part of this sandwich was the mayonnaise! Everything in this sandwich was so perfectly done and not to overwhelming. I also got a pastry to go, it looks so yummy and unique to this coffee shop. I like that the coffee shop have their pastries homemade. Overall, it's a great place to get away from the busy downtown and to enjoy some quality time with great food.
