I rarely write a review about only one dish on a restaurant's menu, but this is an exception to the rule. We returned for a second time to this restaurant. The server recommended the Oven Baked Salmon Steak. She was right. It is really outstanding. The preparation, including a spicy sauce, is unique. I've never had salmon prepared that way before. We were greatly impressed that the chef could do something so exceptional. If you like seafood, I strongly recommend that you try it. The server told us that the new menu in a couple of weeks will include two more seafood dishes with that preparation, including mussels. But they will be appetizers. The Oven Baked Salmon Steak is a main course, including rice and cucumber slices.

usually I hardly write reviews.service was good but food was awful.usually my son love appetizer, we love fried calamari so he ordered kind funny I asked the waiter is calamari from frozen from Package already made, he said yes but too late already order came up ok but batter kind unusual , like machine made it.then he ordered two type of sushi bbq chicken was awful and he also ordered tuna sushi rolls, rice in sushi was kind sour maybe too much vinegar.then I ordered Bento shrimp teriyaki was big mistake, shrimp kind taste weird like they boils then put sauce and sauce nothing like teriyaki sauce, no taste just sticky, the rest in my tray wasn't good too. while we waiting for the food the lady came told me about boils seafood menu like Louisiana boils style. she said very good.I dont even think wanted to come back to try it. people dont know how to cook the food but they want to open restaurant, I am wondering how long that restaurant can stay open, maybe just enough customer from the collage kids.This is third bad Japanese restaurant in Lawrence

Our experience was not like the reviews on here. 2 bento boxes (chicken and shrimp). Chicken was really poor quality, small chunks of dark meat in a very watery sauce. Shrimp was extremely fishy tasting. Both sauces on the shrimp and chicken were a pool of water that everything was soaked in.

Stopped in here on a Sunday evening after having seen it as we drive by here a lot. Very happy we stopped. They have a terrific selection of sushi and rolls!! The crab rangoons are FANTASTIC and worth the trip all by themselves. I'm not a huge sushi fan, but this was very very good and the service was excellent. Can't wait to come back and try some of their more traditional meals!

Went in with my girlfriend who got food poisoning from her order. While we were in the bathroom a person who I assume was the manager came in, was immediately hostile for no reason, and questioned us about our gender instead of offering any assistance. He then proceeded to refuse any help other than just calling an ambulance in a very threatening and angry tone. We've gone here for the past 4 years with no issues until now but this was absolutely unacceptable and reprehensible behavior. Won't be coming back and will tell everyone I know to stay away.
