Comfort Plus Shoes & Footcare

I have problems with my right foot and have problems finding supportive footwear. I've been buying from Comfort Plus for years.The team is extremely knowledgeable about foot problems, orthotics, supportive devices, and shoes for all types of feet. While the choices do cost a hefty amount, their prices are in line with other foot specialty stores.

Place was clean organized. It had a fairly good selection of shoes to pick from and I have a very wide foot. I was waited on right way by a gentleman. I thought the place was a little too pricy on their things. I also felt the salesman was a little too pushy too.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable sales staff. Went above and beyond to assess my fit but taking due prints and measurements of my feet to understand how I walk and what corrections were needed. Shoe selection here is limited but of high quality. You'll leave here spending quite a bit but the quality is above and beyond other shoe stores,

I spent $270 on a pair of orthopedic shoes for work. I thought they were an investment, to be the most comfortable shoes I ever owned. I wore them and from the beginning I was in horrible pain. I kept it up for a month, hoping it would get better. I went back to the store and they said no returns, but gave me a softer pair of inserts that I had to pay an additional $16 for. I am still in incredible pain and there is nothing I can do about it. $270 down the drain. Orthopedic shoes are a sham.

The store carries a good selection of brands, but the salesman only wanted to sell me one brand. While I think he did a nice job measuring and assessing my feet, he was exceedingly pushy about the sizing of the shoes that I tried on. When I asked to try a size smaller, he told me that I was already wearing the right size. He also suggested that I should stick to thicker socks. If I'm going to spend more than $300 on a pair of shoes, I expect the salesman to offer his opinion and then allow me to assess the fit and appearance of the shoes.

This review comes with a little back story. I have worked for a shoe retailer for several years, and often had customers who needed specialty footwear so we would always send them to this store. I decided one day when I was in the neighborhood, to check it out for myself and make sure I was not just sending people off into orthopedic oblivion. There are a lot of people out there who have "barking dogs" young and old. Comfort Plus has a large selection of footwear that comes podiatrist recommended. TThere is a huge niche for knowledgeable footwear fitters and Comfort Plus is definitely that. The staff I spoke with seemed super knowledgeable and they carry great brands like Finn comfort and Earth Shoes as well as diabetic shoes. I did not make a purchase because I have not yet become practical and choose to suffer for vanity, but I can make a authoritative recommendation for anyone who needs comfortable, well designed footwear.

I bought shoes and insoles here 2 years ago and returned about 9 months later to get new insoles. At this time, the same salesman who sold me the shoes and insoles told me how terrible the shoes were and tried to sell me new shoes. When I told him not only did I buy the shoes here, but that he had sold them to me, he immediately backpedaled and tried to sell me a new pair of the exact same "terrible" shoes. I walked out of the store and will never return. The shoes are over priced compared to online pricing, which I wouldn't mind if the salesmen weren't more pushy than helpful.

Adam was the gentleman that helped me I suffer with plantar fasciitis and he fitted my shoes with a 1/2 insole for each foot. So far 3 days later I am very pleased. I also purchased a pair of houseslippers he recommended and I am pleased with them too. I will go back. Next time for a pair of casual shoes that are correct for me. Adam has been very helpful

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and always help me to find the right shoes for every occasion. Great selection too. Five stars!!
