I recently had the pleasure of dining at Com Ga Houston, and I wanted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience. Their Vietnamese steamed chicken is truly authentic, showcasing a delicate balance of flavors and textures that transported me straight to Vietnam. But it wasn't just the chicken that impressed; the pho broth was exceptional - rich, deeply flavorful, and clearly made with the highest quality ingredients. I could taste the care and attention to detail in every spoonful. The rice, a seemingly simple element, was perfectly cooked and complemented the chicken beautifully. The overall quality of the meal was outstanding.Beyond the delicious food, the service was also remarkably efficient and friendly. My order arrived promptly, and the staff were attentive and courteous throughout my visit. In short, Com Ga Houston delivers a fantastic dining experience that combines authentic Vietnamese cuisine with exceptional service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal. I'm already planning my next visit!

Although the wait staff were nice, the venue and food were disappointing. The building definitely needs some upgrades. The windows are all single paned and the glass double doors have no insulation, letting in gusts of wind on cold days.We were seated near the glass doors and windows, and it was absolutely freezing. The only warm places are in the center of the restaurant. As for the food, the flavor of the beef noodle soup we had was okay. The soup was a bit thick because of all the tendon still attached to the beef. The beef itself was tough and impossible to chew. I had to spit most of it out because after chewing it for 5 minutes, I still couldn't get it down my throat. The flavor of the curry was good, but there was not a lot of meat on the chicken pieces. It was mostly skin and bones, literally. You have to take out the chicken pieces and pick at it to get the meat off.It was also pretty pricey. All main course dishes are ~$16.99 - $24.99.In addition, if you have a larger group (6 or more), an automatic gratuity of 18% is included in your check. The customer doesn't get to choose how much to tip. Even though the wait staff were pleasant, they really only gave us our food and then left us alone. They only came back to check on us when they saw we were done and ready to go. Then they asked if we needed anything else..I'm usually a good tipper, and give about 20-25% if the food and service are good. But I reserve the right to tip at my discretion. Not being given the choice is presumptuous. For a sit down meal kind of restaurant, Imo, it was not worth the price.

I'm giving 3 stars because the restaurant was still new. It's been about a month now since we went, and it was a very busy Sunday afternoon. Staff were very nice especially to accommodate as big of a group that we were (~14-15 people). Between my husband and I, we ordered the dark and light meat chicken pho, and the light and dark meat chicken rice. The chicken rice was better than the pho in my opinion. The pho was good, but nothing special. The rice though was very flavorful. The downfall it's pretty expensive. It was about $17 for pho and about $17 for the chicken rice. Both of which were not that big of portions. The prices online are cheaper than in restaurant. Some people at my table also had items forgotten about. One of the servers spilled onto my friend, which mistakes happen. But nothing was done in terms of apologizing or discounting her meal. Also, it was not mentioned by any staff, nor written anywhere on the tables, front or menu that there would be gratuity already added for a big party and the bill was not itemized so most of us tipped much more than would normally. So be aware of that if you go with a big group. I hope things get better here, as I was pretty excited to try this place. I love chicken rice and I've only been to one place with it which was in Portland. But as for this place, I probably won't be back for a while.

My friends and I heard about this Houston restaurant opening in the area and decided to stop by for the soft opening. We ordered a few different dishes so we could try everything. For appetizers we got the banh xeo and goi. The banh xeo is a crispy crepe and was HUGE! It was stuffed with so much pork, shrimp and squid! They also include mung bean which I personally wasn't a fan of but everyone else enjoyed it. The goi is made with poached chicken (or duck) that is tossed with shredded cabbage, banana flower and red onion. It is topped with Vietnamese coriander leaves, peanuts and fried shallots. It was so nice and refreshing! We also ordered chicken pho, chicken rice, chicken congee and curry chicken. Each dish was delicious and full of so much flavor! I also loved all the pickled veggies! The dishes we tried were so comforting and we can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu!

First, on a good note, the waitstaff was friendly and worked hard, even during a very busy service, which was appreciated. Lunch was pretty packed so it was hard to seat a big group like us, ~14 people. As for the food, it was just okay. The beef stew with noodles was thick and heavy, tasting like a standard beef stew. It wasn't particularly memorable, and I probably wouldn't order it again. I also tried my wife's chicken pho (P1), which was light and ok but unremarkable. Both dishes felt overpriced at around $16 each, especially given the small portions and the overcooked noodles, which clumped together and made them unpleasant to eat. They also spilled sauce on my wife's dress, didn't even try to maybe give a little discount or something. Maybe I'm just being petty. Also, their menu doesn't mention anything about automatic gratuity for large parties. When we went to pay, they didn't provide an itemized receipt upfront so we ended up tipping more than we intended. Unfortunately, this experience, combined with the mediocre food, left a bad impression. Everyone in our group agreed they wouldn't return.

I was really excited that this Houston- based franchise was opened in Kansas. Our recent visit was fantastic. The restaurant has lovely decor with modern design. Our orders were egg rolls, chicken curry with baguette, duck banana flower and cabbage salad, duck vermicelli noodles soup with bamboo shoots, Vietnamese iced coffee, iced soy milk, coconut jelly, and strawberry yogurt. Everything we ordered was really good. Especially their homemade Coconut Jelly. I couldn't help but ordered another. Service was excellent. We left full and happy. We"ll definitely come back. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed my experience here. The space was large with a lot of tables so that no one feels crammed. I love the open windows that brought in a lot of light. The interior was very clean and organized. We ordered several items and everything was delicious. The portions are large so while it may be a little on the expensive side that people had mentioned, I think you definitely get quality and quantity. Our service was great and we saw staff talking to customers to see how they were doing which is really awesome to see. I would definitely check it out if you are in the area!

It's great to see in Olathe a Houston Vietnamese spot. I have been to Houston a handful of times and I always make it an opportunity to go get Vietnamese food. We went on a Friday night and there were plenty of spots to sit down. I know this is a newer spot so I don't think many people know about. I really hope this place sticks around as it is hard to find authentic food like this in Olathe. We started off with spring rolls although they were good but I felt like it was missing something that is hard for me to pinpoint. I also got the chicken curry I really loved this dish and plan to come back in the future to order it again. I left nothing behind the curry sauce was really flavorful. Definitely my recommendation for what I think you should order. Service was great they were really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed during our visit. All Olathians please check this spot out it's a one of a kind in this part of town.

Main dishes offered are nearly all chicken. No Pho Tai. Never been in a Vietnamese restaurant that did not serve pho tai.Not sure this nearly all chicken menu will survive.*Only one beef dish on menu is pho bo kho. Beef on pho bo kho is nearly 90% fats and tendon. Found very little meat. Pictured here is the amount of fats and tendon in the bowl
