Incredible! The staff, the establishment, the food, drinks...hell, even the parking, was incredible. My 1 year old daughter was hangry before we got there and as soon as we sat down, they gave her a snack plate. The menu has the classics and some very unique items (looking at you, jalapeño corn chowder). The drinks were fun and fresh. Our server, Rebecca, continued to excessed our expectations. We'll be back for sure

Cliff's Taphouse is such a great spot for a casual night out with awesome food and drinks! The interior is relaxing, with plenty of TVs to catch the game and a long bar that offers lots of seating. There's also a nice patio and a parking lot, which makes it really convenient.The menu has something for everyone, and their rotating specials are a fun addition. Both Brent and I ordered from the specials: he had the Head 'Ancho Burger, which was way better than we expected--juicy and packed with flavor! The waffle fries on the side were also a hit. I had the Garden Harvest flatbread, which was light and tasty, but I'm already eyeing the lemon shrimp pasta for next time.I also tried the blackberry bourbon smash, and it was amazing! Made with fresh blackberries, it was refreshing and just the right amount of sweet. Our server was friendly and made us feel right at home. I can't wait to come back and try the carrot cake I spotted on the dessert menu!Great food, relaxing vibe, and a friendly staff--Cliff's Taphouse definitely has a winning formula!

Cliff's is so family-friendly. I would come here just because of that alone.Upon arrival, we quickly got a table and then a kid "appetizer" was set in front of my children. Goldfish and grapes! That is such a small, kind gesture that goes a long way. I always put my children's food order before ours so they could bring it out first. Shortly after we put in the adult orders, the chicken fingers came out piping hot!I really appreciate the customer service and care. The food is also very good. My husband ordered a burger and it was actually cooked medium rare, just as we requested. I had the fried chicken sandwich and it was juicy.We would definitely return the next time we are in the neighborhood!

Don't go here for brunch. They used to have an awesome brunch menu and even still show it on their website but when we went there they sat us down and gave us a menu with only a couple of items on it. We were both shocked because the menu on their website sounded amazing. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. What a disappointment. So I suggest calling before you go to make sure it's the full brunch menu so you don't waste your time.

Stopped in for a light lunch, and this place was pretty cool. Nice and open, with fast and friendly service.The Pear and Brie Flatbread was pretty good, but something like arugula added to it would have really helped. The Buffalo Cauliflower Bites were delicious, however, crisp and spicy which is a rare find- most places it comes out soft.The Mac and Cheese and Jalapeno Corn Chowder were disappointing. The Mac and Cheese wasn't saucy, it was sort of just noodles with melted Shredded cheese. The Jalapeno Corn Chowder was also pretty bland, and didn't have much jalapeno or spice to it.All-in-all, it was a decent place to grab a bite, but next time I'll have to give the main dishes a shot.

Had a great breakfast here with friends on the weekend! Convenient parking lot for the business as well as some street parking, but I'm not great at parallel parking, so I didn't have to worry about that! Corner lot with nice huge windows along the street, you could watch people passing by while eating your meal. There was a santa on bikes event going by while we were eating so that was entertaining. Very spacious and airy room with nice wood floors and tables and wall sconce lighting at the tables. Our waitress was very nice and patient with us as we had never eaten here before. The chicken and waffles was amazing, very delicious. Great hot honey flavor. I tried some of the gravy from the biscuits and gravy and that was very good too. A great option for breakfast, would definitely come back! It started getting very busy around 11 am on Saturday, so if you come earlier, it will be a lot quieter.

If you are looking for tasty food, good drinks, and a relaxing patio in Kansas City?? Cliff's Taphouse off Gillham road. We happened to go during happy hour and ordered an appetizer off of the happy hour menu. We started with the Bruschetta for $7, which was stacked with fresh ingredients. I ordered the MASSIVE buffalo chicken wings off of the happy hour menu for $11. I also ordered a side of creamy mac & cheese. My friends ordered the large Steak & Gorgonzola Salad. During happy hour, there are select $5 cocktails that you can pick between if interested. The service was great and attentive as well. I will definitely be back for happy hour and brunch asap! Highly recommend Cliff's Taphouse in Kansas City if you are looking for a patio and great happy hour deals.

I enjoyed my lunch at Cliff's Taphouse. It is a casual restaurant with friendly service and tasty food and drinks. I was happy with my Lavender Lemonade cocktail made with Kansas City Rally gin, lavender syrup, mint, lime, and lemonade. It was refreshing, not overly sweet, and had a kick from the gin. I ordered the small-sized Shrimp & Grits. It was flavorful with three grilled blackened shrimp, cheddar jalapeno grits, brown butter creole sauce, tomato, onion, and green onion. I thought the plate, at $13.00, could have been larger with additional shrimp and grits.I tried a piece of the Pear & Brie flatbread. This delicious vegetarian dish has brie cheese, ripe pear, and caramelized onion. It was both savory and sweet. Overall, it is an excellent choice for classic American dishes and an extensive wine, beer, and cocktail menu.

Great local restaurant and bar!Service was outstanding and food was very good. We had the wings and hummus off the happy hour menu and enjoyed both choices. Ki is a phenomenal bartender - personable and engaging. We will be back!

Came here with a big group of girls for a bachelorette party and Cliff's did such a nice job accommodating all of us. Our server was so nice and the food was great! I got a cup of the jalapeño corn chowder which was very yummy, lots of corn so not a ton of broth and it wasn't a creamy chowder fyi but I really enjoyed it. I also got a side Caesar salad which was super light and nice! The lemon shrimp pasta was very good and the small size came with three shrimp. I only got the small because I wanted the side salad and soup so it was a perfect size for that. I would definitely come back here :)
