This is a small Farmers Market but it's all good!! Pretty standard selection of fresh, homegrown goodness. On Wednesdays, it opens up at 3:00 and ends promptly at 6:00, if not before. Sometimes they start closing down at 5:30! Get there early and get your fruits and veggies:)Holy Cannoli is now there...homemade CANNOLI'S!!! What? You've got to try them...Heidi has samples so try them all. She has an amazing oatmeal cannoli with a maple cream filling. A lemon custard type canolli that has just the right amount of sweetness and tartness. Just stop by, you will be sooooo glad that you did.

As with all farmer's market it is best to head out early to get the best selection. I arrived here around 11:00 a.m. Most spaces were already empty but several vendors selling corn, tomatoes, squash, and lots of peppers were still there. I went for a ruby watermelon. A soap maker and jewelry maker were also there. Like I said before, I probably showed up a bit too late for the best selection but still there were a lot of vendors there.

Compared to OP and KC, the Olathe market is small and not great. However, it's still full of extremely friendly people selling local products - fruits, veggies, honey, baked goods, soaps, whatever. Parking is easy (big advantage over the other places), it's quick and compact, and the prices are very good. While I won't come here all the time, it's certainly a nice place to stop by for some local goodies!

It was a very small market, which was kind of disappointing. Upon arrival I was worried they wouldn't have everything I needed! However, it turned out despite the size, they had a decent selection. The people were very friendly, and had reasonable prices. One vendor had delicious peach jam! It is the closest farmers market too me, I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for unique produce. If you are looking for some tomatoes, peaches, herbs, and cucumbers then it is very convenient!

The only thing lacking in Olathe is a great farmers market! The city needs to have a dedicated space and build a permanent structure for our farmers market. What is the logic behind having 2 locations across town from each other. The Overland Park farmers market makes ours look like a child's lemonade stand at the end of a cul de sac in February. Bring everyone together in one location, consolidate resources, and give us a farmers market that we can be proud of!

This place has such easy access in and out, parking is a few steps from the vendors, and the vendors are so nice and friendly. They take such pride in their products.I have some favs....Beverlin's Little Piece of Paradise sells the best eggs I've ever eaten. The yokes are so bright and orange, it's amazing. I've always seen the wife there but yesterday I met the husband. He said he'll bring eggs to the city when he comes to work now that the market is closed for the year. I also give them my empty egg cartons to reuse.Holy Cannoli has the VERY BEST cannoli's I've ever eaten. The lemon ones are yummy and the cinnamon are equally as good. I love how they let you sample before you buy. Heidi will do special orders with a minimum of 2 dozen. I think I recall that minimum right. Would be great for a bridal/baby shower, family gathering, holiday open house, thank you gift, or just a "It's a Good Day for a canolli treat!"One other young farmer out there sells the best tomatoes. I can't recall the name but I think he's from Edgerton. He has a trailer full of veggies. Really nice guy with lots of knowledge he's willing to share. Sorry, I can't recall more details...like his NAME..which would be nice!My friend loves the ground wheat flour in the bags from another farmer. She keeps it in the freezer and says it's the best ever. There are a few people selling other items like soap and jewelry but I mainly shop for the for the consumable stuff.Early birds will find the best selections are vendors seem to sell out of a lot of stuff by mid morning. Which is good for them and fulfills their purpose for coming to the market.I'm looking forward to next summer when they open again.

This is a great Farmers Market, and it improves every year I go! There is a great selection of vegetables, breads, jams, soaps, and pastries, along with some meat and farm-fresh eggs. Everything I've gotten there has always been of great quality, but make sure to ask the vendor questions and get to know them. That's how you get the deals! :)All the produce at the market is now grown within 125 miles of Olathe, so you don't have to worry about shipped-in produce being mixed in with the good stuff. Make sure to get there as close to starting time as possible, because that gives you the best selection. (And make sure to come on the right days, too. SATURDAYS 8 am until sold out. :D)Come on out! It makes for a great time!

My experience with the market has always been good until this year. The guy that runs it and that sells at the first booth at the northwest corner has been nothing short of rude this year. He was acting like a smart a** the first time we went, making remarks and then refused to sell me anything the second time because it wasn't 8 o'clock yet. I thought I would stop by on my way to work and got there at 7:30 and even though his stand was completely set up, would not sell to me. I will never go back and put up with his rude behavior again. Overland Park is a bit further to drive but at least the people are nice!Too bad, grumpy!

I went today hoping to bring home some tomatoes. Website says Wed 8 until sold out. I showed up at 9A. Nobody there. I drove all the way across town. I should have trusted my instinct and went to downtown Overland Park. I always have good luck there. Thought I'd try a smaller town to see what I could find. What a joke. I won't be back. Olathe needs to 'grow up' as a competing city.Wasted my gas today, that is for sure. Not happy.
