Finally got a chance to try City Barrel in Waldo and will definitely be back! The pizza was so good and there are so many beer options, even beer to go! The staff were nice and friendly and we did not have to wait long for our pizza. We sat outside on their lovely patio. I didn't get a chance to try their swings, but it's on my list for next time for sure! 100% kid friendly, so much so that the bike rack was basically stroller parking! The patio games also helped with entertaining littles! Only giving four stars because the music outside was kind of loud, so it made conversation a little hard. But will still be back!

Came here for lunch and sat in the patio area. I was greeted right away. Food was really good and beer was even better. Had an Irish Vacation Stout and a Hell Yeah Lager. Both really good. Server was very friendly and was all over the patio taking care of everyone with a smile. Had a sub sandwich and a salad. Definitely will come back here again.

Beef bulgogi and fancy fries. Green onions were optimal freshness and plentiful which I can appreciate very much. I even tasted some herb in the fries (either marjoram, thyme, or rosemary). All very solid. Looking forward to trying other menu items. Fries even tasted double fried. Beef bulgogi sando was amazing!

Loooove City Barrel brews and their flagship restaurant. We were excited to try their new location and it did not disappoint. The service was outstanding from the greeting at the front to the server and manager who checked in during our meal. Blueberry sour was outstanding and our kiddo enjoyed his first Italian soda. The spicy sweet pepperoni jalapeno pizza was delicious.

We went there for dinner after some positive reviews on other sites. The welcome at the door was fine. We came with kids and were warned that they were not to be outside, where there are games, without us also outside. That seemed fine and we looked past it, although we don't have very young children, and they would have otherwise enjoyed playing foosball while we waited on the patio (seated with only one table at the time). That is especially given that the wait for food, once ordered, was really long despite a not-busy restaurant. The table service was warm and prompt. The pricing, however, was really high. $23 with tax for a large cheese pizza (6/10), $23 for a medium mushroom (7/10). The mushroom had some complexity, but the cheese was about as good as a local pub. I asked about a beer, just out of curiosity, and the server offered to bring me a taste in conversation. I said okay, and ended up being charged for it on the bill, the price of half of a beer. Would have been nice if that had been made clear. For two pizzas, a couple $7 beers, and a salad ($11), it was almost $100 with tip. The pizzas were good enough, but not good enough for the price. A fine place to have a beer on the fun-looking patio but we'll stick to that in the future.

Incredible Pizza!Had the opportunity to bring a good amount of friends and we absolutely enjoyed this new spot. Be sure to come hungry because they have a lot of specialty pies. Sarah was our waitress and did a great job in handling our rowdy group of 7. We decided to split four medium pizzas between the 7 of us and it was great. We were able to try some really incredible pies and experience the variety City Barrel has to offer. I thought the story behind the Krab Rangoon pizza was really neat. They bought a pizza oven from a shop in Des Moines -- in which a Krab Rangoon pizza was the best seller. Really cool that CB is keeping the tradition alive with that pie. Dylan Dix's creation of the Comfy Curry was incredible. This one is a limited run so you might miss out depending on when you're reading this. Overall, great pizza, amazing appitizers, tons of options for ambitious folks and also the classics are available as well. (Don't forget, it's City Barrel so there are lots of options for a good drink as well.) Definitely recommend checking this place out. The patio looks like a lot of fun and should absolutely be awesome for baseball and football season!

Staff and service were great and the Greek salad was really outstanding which made the pizza that much more disappointing. It was easily the worst pizza I've had in Kansas City, bland, almost no sauce, boring crust, needs serious work. We will continue to come for the beer but will not be getting pizza again

My favorite pizza place in KC. I haven't had a bad pizza here. Some of my favorites are the jalapeño popper, crab Rangoon, and white pie. The service is great and the inside and outside seating has a great vibe.We also have twin 17 month olds and they were extremely accommodating!

Great service and a really fun atmosphere! We sat on the patio and the service was prompt and attentive. Nice beer selection too. We had the dry rub wings for an app. and a medium margherita and sweet heat pizzas. Right amount of food for 4 adults. Everything tasted great, but the wings were small. 6 for $10 was a bit pricey for what you get. We had 7 beers and a taster and our total bill with 20% tip was $130. A bit pricey, but really enjoyed our dinner!
