Food was amazing. I had 4 tacos and should have got 3. I'm so full. What a great little hideaway! Definitely a must try!!!!

This authentic taqueria was so good that I didn't even get a picture of burrito. I walked in on a Friday evening and many people were there ordering their meals! I went with a chicken fajita burrito, which I had to wait about 15 mins for. The wait was short and so worth it! Hot, big, spicy, and seasoned so well! Next time I will be trying out their street tacos! My friend says they have the best tamales that she ever had there. This spot isn't big, so you can pass it easily.

Lots of good things to say about this place. It's humble. There's more seating than I expected, which is handy because I could easily see this place filling up. It's a solid operation that produces tasty and inexpensive food. This is the first place in the metro I've found that has suadero tacos. We had carne asada, suadero, and al pastor tacos, as well as a chicken tamal. Tamales are tough for me. They're tasty, but can be hard to scale. So easy to get dry or bland, but you know what it's *supposed* to be - it reminds you of previous tamales you really enjoyed. So I'm generally wary of ordering them, maybe to a fault. Fortunately, I hang out with people who are smarter than me. I got to try their tamales and they were quite good. I can see why people rave about them. The carne asada taco was my favorite of the three. The suadero was good and I would order it again, too. If I swing through here again I would also try the al pastor again, though today it was a little drier and didn't have the kind of vibrance that you can get with that dish. Easily could be different on another day. That said, it was still tasty and enjoyable. It's not the best I've ever had, even in Kansas City, but it's likely the best in the local area. Between the good food and the good price, it's hard to ask for more.

Authentic Mexican food. Love it! The place has a market inside so you can purchase meats and other items. There are a couple of small tables to sit and eat, but is a takeout spot. This is my go to place for Mexican food.

The best tamale in Kansas City might well be found in Belton.Always looking for a new tamale to try which is what sent me up Scott Ave. following a round of golf at Eagles Landing.A generous amount of very tasty pork right down the middle of an excellent masa.It was my first visit. It's entirely possible I caught them on a good day but these tamales looked and tasted like whoever made them was taking a dozen home for dinner. A pleasant switch from some of the haphazard tamale construction I've encountered around the metro. My suggestion would be to make the drive and get some.
