Christy's Tasty Queen

Heard about Christy's pork tenderloin sandwich so we had to give it a try.Neat little place out in an area by itself. It is walk in only, however there are some picnic tables around back, so everything is to go.We ordered a couple of tenderloin sandwiches. Staff was very friendly. They come with lettuce, onion and mayo. It didn't take very long, and our sandwiches were ready. We planned to sit at a picnic table and enjoy. However, being really freshly made the sandwiches were almost to hot (temperature wise) to eat. So, we put them back in the bag and headed home.When we got home we dug in. The tenderloin is very large. However, it was also a good thickness. The type of bun was a perfect match. The sandwich was one of the best I ever had. It was a very big sandwich. The tenderloin did seem a little oily, however that did not stop my giving it a 5-star rating.They also have a pretty good menu of lot of other items and ice cream shakes. Will have to try one next time and there definitely will be a next time.

I had been to the food truck but not the actual restaurant so I decided it was time to venture there. The restaurant is very small, there's no seating to eat at. It's really just order to go or call and pick up. I ordered a pork tenderloin and a side of fries. The prices are very reasonable and they offer a lot of different things-burgers, tacos, shakes, etc. It took about 10 minutes to get my food but they were pretty steady with lots of people in and out. They have pretty limited hours so I think everyone tries to go when they can. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait if you order in person but know that your food will be fresh. My pork tenderloin was large and juicy. It's easily two meals. The fries were also delicious and crinkle cut. I will definitely return the next time I'm craving a BPT.

If you need a place that does one thing *really well* and that thing is serve up a pork tenderloin sandwich, then Christy's Tasty Queen is just that place. Snugly nestled into the old Turner portion of KCK, Christy's has been serving up sandwiches, shakes, and fries for a long time. This is a place that might go unmentioned in a list of KC 'musts', but if you have the time and the appetite, then Christy's pork tenderloin is your challenge. The medallions are pounded flat and are simply ginormous, dwarfing any bun. Breaded and fried, then served with your choice of standard or other dressing, it's a massive sandwich. I recommend either sharing a sandwich or skipping the side, because if you don't, then you risk your belt line being changed - it's a LOT of food!Service is great and everything is made to order. I take my tenderloin with a bit of lettuce & mayo, but Christy's will make it how you like. Pricing has definitely increased (it's $10.50 for the tenderloin itself) but the value is absolutely there. Bear in mind that Christy's isn't a place with 'seating', though if the weather allows, there are a couple of picnic tables, otherwise it's all to-go. Pair with a shake or share with a loved one, but make the stop in KCK for the best pork tenderloin sandwich in town.

Some damn good burgers and fries. Its not like i came here to eat healthy so that you for having better burgers and fries than McDonald's.

Can't say enough about Christy's! Old school vibe and feel. You order and take it to go. Couple spots to eat outside on a nice day. I grew up in Iowa and know a little about a pork tenderloin and this place is what up! I'll admit I never tried it until I was chatting with a gal about their tenderloins and she said she was from Iowa. She said they are made fresh and with saltine crackers. Now it's my go to order when I go. Comes out pipping hot and melts in your mouth. Since it's a tasty queen and I'm a sucker for a root beer float it washes it down oh so good!

Christy's is a staple in Turner, they've been around forever. Fast food, friendly service, and great ice cream. Their tenderloin is legendary. If you haven't tried them, you're missing out. Small little diner, walk in service, no inside seating. There are picnic tables outside.

It was my great pleasure to enjoy the pork tender sandwich that had moved atop my list of the greatest tenders on PLANET EARTH. If anyone finds a better one, please let me know!!

They do have the best pork tenderloin sandwich in town! We drive fie 30 minutes to get there. Great food and staff!

Love those Tenderloins. Drive from South OVP for that treat. Always fresh and more than a bun full.
