My daughter has been taking Karate here since her 7th birthday, and HapKiDo for the last few years. Throughout these last 7 years, the Masters Choon and Mary Jane Lee have become a second family to my daughter! This studio is more than just a way to learn self-defense, it is a second family, and a way of life! Ma. and Mrs. Lee genuinely care about their students, and their holistic well being. They will ask Mary about her grades, her home life, they can tell if she is off, and will talk to her about it. CHOON LEE'S ACADEMY OF TAE KWON DO is the best place to take marital arts in my opinion.

This morning during my daily sunrise run I suffered a small single muscle fiber tear in my hamstring. Painful. I was immediately reminded of starting off as a 24 year old white belt at Choon Lee Academy. In the day we had to go 6 Days/week. After 1st week of extreme stretching & training, with both hamstrings 100% pulled and weeping blood that turned my skin in back black.. I came to class and told Master Lee that I could no longer move. He smiled and said: "DAHH-VEE... You Pain TOO EASY!!" Then kicked my rear back onto the mat for daily 4 hour training. That was 31 years ago. TO THIS DAY I can still bend over and place both hands flat on the ground in front of me, touching my face to my knees. Master Lee's training stays with you a lifetime. Graduate School interrupted my training and I never continued. But I made sure all 3 of my sons trained until Black Belt. My littlest, 10 yrs old just received his black belt this April. He actually removed the AKTA patch from my 1984 Uniform and wore it on his during his Black Belt test. Now, all 3 of them are kicking my injured hamstring saying: "DAHH-DEE... You Pain TOO EASY!!!!"
