Had the Chixen Mini... SO delicious, loved the spicy special sauce. I got it to go. The door isn't well marked, I almost thought I was in the wrong place! But the staff is so nice. I can't wait to try more items on the menu

Creative and good flavors. It won't replace your craving for a burger but it does get that good flat top caramelization. The waffle on the side was a little dry, even with the (fun!) beef bacon :)The guy at the window didn't seem all that happy to see us, but gave us good expectations on wait time. (About 10 min cause he's gonna make it fresh!)

I regret to say that our first--and probably only--visit to Chixen KC left much to be desired. Despite high hopes and a hefty bill, the culinary offerings fell short in almost every aspect.Starting with "The Monarch", it was a soggy mess, with dry chicken encased in a sea of sogginess. The mishmash of ingredients failed to harmonize, resulting in a lackluster and unappetizing dish."The Culture" was equally disappointing, crumbling apart with each bite. The promised flavors of citrus slaw and jerk aioli were lost amidst poor execution, leaving us longing for a more cohesive and enjoyable experience.As for the fries, the exorbitant price tag ($4.50?!) did not match the paltry portion we received. Soggy and lackluster, they failed to deliver the crispy satisfaction one would expect, leaving us feeling cheated and unsatisfied. Did I mention it was $4.50? For 16 fries split between two people? Imagine spending $9 on two orders just to have a handful of fries for yourself? No, I can't imagine it either.The Jerk Chili & Cornbread Waffle was perhaps the lowest point of the meal. The dry, inedible cornbread waffle paired with forgettable chili only served to amplify our disappointment. The addition of butter felt completely out of place and did nothing to salvage the dish.However, amidst the sea of culinary disappointments, there was one shining beacon of hope: the Blue Velvet Brownie with Oreo Crust. Moist, decadent, and bursting with flavor, it was the sole saving grace of an otherwise dismal dining experience.In summary, our visit to was marked by overpriced mediocrity and lackluster execution. With soggy, dry, and forgettable offerings, we left feeling disheartened and unlikely to return. Save your money and your taste buds, and seek culinary satisfaction elsewhere.

I drove around KC and came across this location last minute. When I arrived, I almost missed it entirely. You definitely need to keep your eyes open when coming to this establishment!They have a large menu to choose from. I was relatively hungry, so I decided to order the Chief Burger (1 lb burger). I've never eaten a pound burger before so I was slightly worried about how big of a burger it would be, but it looked like what I had imagined. The burger has three chicken burgers, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, cheese, bacon, and the house sauce which tasted slightly sweet and spicy. I was only able to get one full bite before the burger began to fall apart. Thankfully the establishment supplies you with a fork, spoon, and knife. The food tasted very unique. The chicken burger was fresh, juicy, and flavorful. Once I added the House Sauce, it only amplified the taste and gave it the ending piece to complete the chicken burger. All of the ingredients tasted amazing, and they complemented each other perfectly.Although they don't have inside dining, I had an amazing experience. If anyone is looking to get some great food, I would come to this location! I will definitely be returning to order a different food option from their menu!

A carry-out only burger joint, but with ground chicken instead of beef. Definitely a unique concept that I would frequent if I lived in the neighborhood, but since I live across town; I will wait until warmer weather to return so I can take it to a park and eat. Today's cool weather kept me in my vehicle and trying to eat this large messy sandwich was not optimal.Not only is the bun large, but the chicken patty is even larger, making my $11 sandwich seem like not such a bad deal after all. I'm 8 hours post lunch and still satisfied! I ordered on-line when I arrived, but I could have also ordered at the walk-up window. I ordered The Monarch - 1/2 lb. 'burger", lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, jalapeños, bacon, cheese and BBQ sauce...a huge, savory, delicious feast!This is the type of mom & pop store front that deserves support, so next time your heading for carry-out or fast food in the Rosedale vicinity - give your $ to Chixen.

First time trying this place! I learned about it from TikTok. I ordered Jerk Chixen Chili over the Jalapeño cornbread waffle and the blue velvet brownie.Im very pleased with my order. Everything was delicious and I will definitely be back to try other menu items. The butter that goes on the waffle is amazing all by itself!

I had the pleasure of eating Chixen Kansas City last night and I am still in awe thinking of the Chief burger with a side of jerk aioli sauce and the blueberry velvet brownie (12/10 speaking from someone who does not like velvet anything)! It was soooo phenomenal! As someone who does NOT eat beef or pork, I loved how easily customizable this menu was for me even down to having turkey bacon as an option to add to my burger... which I have never been able to do at any other restaurant/dining spot. Although, Chixen Kansas City is a ghost kitchen, it did not take way from the beautiful customer service I had as a first time customer from the owner himself. If I had to change anything, it would be that I wish fries, tater tots, or even onion rings were a side offered to go along with my Chief burger (12/10) as I would have loved to have it paired and dipped in the jerk aioli sauce (12/10) lol but overall, I was pleased with this business and would definitely recommend it! I will be back today!

I found some great gems! Solo stop for dinner at Chixen Kansas City.Thank you #Yelp for helping me find this hidden gem! I am a super fan of ground chicken and I found THE best ground chicken burger here. If you are tired of everyone's effort at the chicken breast sandwich, this place is worth checking out! The concept is unique. It is a walk up only/to-go location. It is located right next door to the Vox Theatre. Look for the orange awning of the Vox otherwise this location is easy to miss. It is tiny but packs great flavor. The owner is super nice. The presentation/packaging was lovely. I tried the ¼ sandwich with cheddar and grilled onions. We got there by chance. We were originally driving back from the KC zoo and found this place with decent reviews. Apparently they moved to this location and had a soft opening so its not easy to figure out the parking and entrance. From the outside, it looked sketchy. The gentlemen working inside are very nice and patient with our orders with good explanation of their options. The concept of chicken burger is interesting but I think this place nailed it! The patties were just the right size and cooked perfectly without feeling dry. The fries was also awesomeWe will definitely be back again, hopefully they will have the place in full functionality

Ordered The Chief and The Culture with a side of fries and slaw. We waited at the bar while the food was being prepared. Everything was cooked fresh. The chef came out and explained how he packaged our to-go order with the different sauces. We had about a 10 minute drive home. We absolutely enjoyed the food. We will be back
