The ambiance is not the best. Very few tables in the restaurant. The service is good. The owners are a husband and wife team. They work very hard to provide delicious Chinese food. I have been going here for a few years. The food is fresh and flavorful. They make sure that you get a good value for your money. If you want Chinese that is good and prepared by people who actually care. This is the place to go. I have never been disappointed here.

This is the first place you should go if you want to have the worst dining experience of your life. We went and ordered sesame chicken and beef bok Choy and what came out was sesame beef and orange chicken. No good English was spoken and the food tasted horrible. The place was creepy too, we waited for our food about 20 minutes and it was clearly the stuff you can get at Costco in the big bags. We couldn't finish it. The food was so bad and I know for a fact that my digestive tract is going to be in critical condition in the coming hours, do not go here, whatever you do!

Tried China Star today based on recommendations who said it was great food and they were so right! Food was very tasty, plentiful and made fresh to my order needs. This is now my go to Chinese food spot!

I don't know how I had never been here before last week. I walked in and was able to get a HUGE amount of food for less than $30. I ordered crab rangoon, orange chicken, beef and broccoli, vegetable lo mien and crispy spring rolls. It came with a large side of steamed rice. This was WAY more than enough for me, my parents and sister. Everything had great flavor. I'm truly giving this a 5 star because of the ease, quality and quick service that I got when I walked in the other night and had all my food 20 mins later in a bag, ready to go. I'll definitely be returning and my parents have found their new favorite take out Chinese place as well!

Lady on phone speaking Chinese when I entered. Just took my order then continued to talk on speaker phone. When my food arrived I asked about my drink. She never said a word but pointed to clear fridge for me to get out drink. Just felt weird. Food was good. Chicken broccoli had carrots and mushrooms too

Delicious food at a good price. Particularly enjoy the orange chicken and crab rangoon. Friendly staff every time we have visited.

I used the online option to order, pretty easy to use. The food was phenomenal!!! Hands down best Chinese cuisine in north KC! Ordered:-house special lo mein -crab rangoons-spring roll

This place was fantastic! I was on a business trip and wanted to try a hole in the wall place. The food was amazing and was fresh. The restaurant was great and the seats were very comfortable. The woman who was running the register was very nice and even at the end of my meal she packed everything up for me! I would recommend this place to anyone!
