I hadn't seen China King before, but I don't get to West Shawnee often. I was there at an odd time, maybe 2pm. I was greeted promptly and placed a to-go order of a lunch entree (General Tso) and side of Crab Rangoon. It was ready quickly.Crab Rangoon were nice and plump, but a bit on the sweet side. The entree was okay, but seemed to be typical out-of-a-box from one of those restaurant suppliers. The price is fine. They were fast. The restaurant looked and felt clean. I would eat here again, but I won't make a special trip.

Called to place an order for carry out. The person who answered the phone immediately responds and said, "You mean pick up?"...I responded with a confused yes. Does carry out and pick up no longer mean the same thing?Any who, I carry on with my order, "Three sweet and sour chickens, two general, and one garlic chicken."The guy responded "Small or large?" I was confused and said large. You see on their menu it never specified sizes. Everything on their menu makes it very clear that with each meal you either get fried rice, or white rice and two crab rangoon's, or one egg roll. So you can imagine my surprise when I asked for all of our orders to include the fried rice and crab rangoon's and the guy on the phone responded, "Well those don't come with that." I informed him that I looked at their menu and that's what it stated, he responded, "Oh, you want a combo plate, you should have specified that, please next time say that." How was I to know? Why didn't he ask right away? Also, still bothered by the carry out ordeal. Pick up and carry out mean the same thing!Phone boy couldn't seem to move past the fact that I didn't say combo plate. He proceeded to lecture me on how I should have specified combo plate multiple times. I told him I got it, and that this was my first time I've ever ordered from them. I was going to order a handful of egg rolls as well, but after asking combo plate boy about that he seemed confused and acted as if that would be a big hassle to add that on so I just said we will pass on the egg rolls. Given the order size I have a lot of people to feed otherwise I would of said to heck with it all and found another place to order from. Hope the food is good, either way I won't be ordering from them again.

Quality for a great price, the fried rice and orange chicken does not disappoint. Very friendly workers and have been around for a long time!

I was visiting a business near this location and while sitting in the parking lot I saw several people pick up carry out orders, so I decided to try it. I ordered a shrimp fried rice, wanting to start with something basic. It was awful! It contained rice, onion and the shrimp looked like it was previously frozen and boiled. The shrimp was obviously not cooked with the fried rice. Worst ever.

They sent me a code to order food for 3$ off with any online order. so the food is fair but you are not told that the code is only for carry out . you also do you see they charge 4.99 for delivery fee, and 1.50 for a convience fee. and then they expect you to tip. you do not see total until after you have paid. Never use this place again. They are scammers

We ordered food here for the first time. I ordered the Mongolian beef & my wife had the broccoli & chicken. At first we thought it was a little pricy but the servings were huge and we both had two meals from it. The food was delicious and we will go back!

Stopped by for some hot and sour soup. The menu says 5.49 they charge and extra .50 if you want an extra fried noodles. The math is 5.95 plus tax. China King math puts it to 6.95. Since when dis the tax rate in Shawnee go to over 16%?Then since you can see in the kitchen, you can watch them microwave your food.Now that's some quality food. Did they get it from the Walmart or Hyvee freezer section?Par for their kitchen, bland as usual. I was hoping they might have found seasoning after a year.

Inedible! We have been frequenting this restaurant for many years but the food has gotten really bad and we will not be going back. Our last order was inedible and we had to throw it out. My daughter ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken. The chicken was so over cooked that it was like chewing leather. The fried rice was dry and flavorless. The only thing in or order that my family ate was the white steamed rice.
