China King

It has been a long time since I wrote a review for this place. This has been my go to Chinese for more than maybe 15 years? I always loved the General Chows and their Hunan Shrimp. I am sorry to say that after the last two times ordering General Chows that I am very disappointed. The chicken is fried tough anymore with lots of sauce. I understand that the price was raised from $9.99 for the dinner plate to $11.99 due to inflation, but if you are going to raise the price don't toughen the meat and make the plate substantially inedible. Any tougher and I would have thought I was biting into a chew toy. I just don't know where to go for some tasty and tender General Chow's Chicken anymore.

Decent food, speedy service, and fair prices. Unassuming restaurant/signage from the outside and inside is pretty much what you'd expect from a mostly take-out style Chinese restaurant. Service was fast & efficient - cut to the chase when ordering. We had our food, 2 dinner specials, in less than 10 minutes. $7.99 lunch special $9.99 dinner special Lots of options on the list of specials, all come with fried or white rice, the entree of choice, and either 2 crab rangoons (yum) or 1 egg roll. Entrees were just okay, but giving 4 stars due to speedy service, price, and yummy crab rangoons.

I order from this place at least twice a month because it's delicious and simple. Service is quick and kind - I've never ate inside but every time I pick up an order it's clean and nice looking. They finally take card!!!! So I'm super happy with this place.

Oh, wowza!!!! We have lived in L.S. for nearly 20 years, but only today did we try China King. We live on the south side and usually eat at China 88. Since they're closed on Mondays, we have this place a whirl, and we are so excited to have found another good Chinese food outlet in the city!!! We both ordered the Chicken & Broccoli, a side of Vegetable Lo Mein for our grandchild (who ate none of it, so we got to have it!), and Spring Rolls. Every bite was a happy one!!! Delicious! The service was good (we did takeout) with the food ready right when they said it would be. The ambience is what one would expect, very clean, well organized. We will definitely go back to China King in future so we can try the Shrimp Fried Rice, Singaporean Noodles (if they make them there), and the donuts. Great job, China King!

Best kung pao chicken and generals tao chicken in LS. The yellow no peas fried rice is what you'd expect for Chinese take out. They are quick every time we order take out. Their counter is a bit messy. All and all it's still our go to Chinese place.

They are only accepting cash at this time and they will tell you that when you call and order food to-go. Not a big deal. Their food prices are fairly cheap and whatever I can do to lower their (and therefore my) costs I'm fine with. It was quick and efficient.While they have tables to eat in, they always feel a bit sticky. It's been that way for many years now, so we know it's best to take food out.

The food is still great but they are still not accepting credit cards and now they are no longer a Dashpass business on doordash. I had been ordering via Doordash Dashpass when they stopped taking cards. Sadly, now we ordering from other Chinese restaurants instead of CK.

My husband and I were in Lee's Summit and I was craving Chinese food. I ordered the combination General Tso's with fried rice, crab rangoon, and an extra egg roll. Everything was delicious! I would highly recommend. Cash only, but they told me that when I placed my order.

My family and I have lived in Lee's Summit almost 30 years; we go to this location a lot, because it's amazing! The staff is very friendly, all orders have been correct and decently priced; food is always cooked fresh and tastes amazing. Location lobby is always clean I mean honestly, this place is great! Thank you everyone at that location

My go to place here in Lee's Summit for good Chinese cuisine. Our go to in the Shrimp Egg Foo Young & broccoli on combination w/ fried rice and a pork egg roll. We also get an order of that delicious crab rangoon and garlic sauce on the side. The customer service is pretty good and the restaurant is always clean when we go in. Just wished paying with a card was an option but it's definitely not a hard stop! Will continue to order from here.
