I previously lived in Lawrence (roughly 8 years ago) & this was my favorite Chinese place in all of Lawrence. Mostly because it was super tasty but also because they served large portions at a cheap price. Yummy & affordable, a broke college students dream.While visiting Lawrence this weekend, we decided to be lazy on Sunday night & order chinese. I was super excited to see that China House was still operating. But even more excited when we got our food & I discovered it tasted the exact same as it did 8 years ago. Hallelujah! The shop itself is unassuming. It's just your typical Chinese restaurant inside a strip mall. It's definitely not a place you go for a fancy dinner. But, if you're looking for a great tasting, affordable meal with a generous portion. This place is it!

This is the best Chinese-American takeout in the kc area! The value is fantastic, the portions are generous, and the food is always ready quickly. My husband has loved this place since he was young, and he introduced me to it. My go-to order is the chicken and broccoli, while his is the general tso's chicken. I like that they make the chicken and broccoli with brown sauce, instead of the white sauce that some other places make. Every lunch combo comes with a side of fried rice, as well as an egg roll or two crab rangoons. At $8, you can't beat the price! We have come here several times for takeout, and will definitely be back.

went there with a new friend and her son and they both had recommended it. The son, 10 years old, loves the place . i liked the food and the multitude of choices. the strip mall parking was plentiful and the place was clean and booths were plentiful. i bet I saw 15 carry outs while we made our choices and ordered and ate. prices were right and the staff was wonderful.

Locals know this is the best Chinese spot in town. Perfect combination of portion size to tastiness.

Ordered delivery entrees were gross and the Moo Shu special was only cabbage and the House special the only vegetable was broccoli that was I trimmed. End of eating here.

No east coast egg rolls here.... For Kansas chinese take out- the service is timely! Standard chinese food on the menu.... Nothing to wow me thus far.

Best Chinese food in Lawrence. Geard for Take out although there are a few booths inside Great General TSO and crab Rangoons.

My husband had the pepper chicken I tried it and it was not good the chicken was like leather. So please watch what you eat here.

I like it, I've had very good food from this place. Delivery is quick and easy. The ambiance isn't that great but you can pick it up or get delivery; the restaurant itself is sort of just plastic booths and nothing special to hang out at.
