I've been working at children's light house during this whole pandemic and I'm amazed at how well we have kept everyone safe and happy! We love every single kid that comes into our care! This is the best place to work or to bring your kiddos!

As a parent, Children's Lighthouse is a great place to take your little one, very caring and loving staff! We were blessed with awesome teachers for our girls, they truly understood their strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, they do not know how to care for their employees or their needs resulting in a massive overturn with teachers. I wouldn't recommend to work there based solely on management. The assistant director is inexperienced, with no people skills. When asked for a bathroom break the phone was slammed down on me telling me "she didn't know what to tell me". When one of their staff was having an allergic reaction there was no support given, even though they were well aware of her allergy. I was under the false impression that a beautifully decorated new place would be a great place to work, I was VERY wrong. I would not recommend this work environment to anyone.

The staff is caring and my daughter is always happy to go to Children's Lighthouse. We are new to the area and they made my daughter's transition to a new child care establishment a very smooth one. Her teachers are always excited and personally engaged when she arrives each day. As other reviewers have mentioned, the whole staff is friendly and greet my daughter by name. Their flexible hours are especially helpful and allows me to make one trip when dropping my children off at different schools.

Love this place- my son is always happy to go to daycare and I feel that he's safe and enjoys his time there! Price is pretty comparable to other places in the area. Great place with great people

We just started sending our 2 year old to Children's Lighthouse 6 months ago. It has been terrific. The teachers and staff really make the experience a positive one. We highly recommend Lighthouse if you have a young child that needs top notch care.

the director is very two faced, and treats the teachers very poorly. all the teachers in the school do things and have things out that they aren't supposed to until they get notified that state is coming. Your children should not go here unless you want them treated poorly.

We had our 6 year old and 2 year old enrolled in Children's Lighthouse Overland Park which lasted a total of 2 and a half months. When touring the daycare we were told an opening would be available at a specified time that fit our schedule. There would also be opportunities for ballet, soccer and martial arts classes for the school age children. After I had placed my deposit and expected my children to start on the date I was initially given; we were told the opening was not available. We had to wait an additional amount of time which we were not expecting. Once our children finally were allowed to start we found out the classes that they said were going to be offered (such as ballet, soccer and martial arts) were not available. My daughter was assigned a locker to keep her personal belongs in the school age class only to have them moved around by the owner on a regular basis when she felt the need to constantly redecorate the rooms. Every afternoon consisted of hours of TV watching which I find inappropriate. My 2 year old was not allowed to potty train as the teachers did not want to mess with allowing him to use the potty. Overall I found the teaching techniques to be lazy. We had constant problems with their bookkeeping and communication procedures. When I had a question regarding payment I entered the office area at the invitation of the owner only to see stacks of papers and piles of documents all over without any form of organization. The owner and management of this daycare do not seem to have any type of knowledge in education or business practices.

This is my son's second year attending Children's Lighthouse Overland Park. My son's name is known by every staff member which I find is very important because everyone seems to care about him. The staff is also very engaging, helpful, and trustworthy. My son loves his teachers and is excited to go there every morning. Thank you

Money Hungry Establishment!FOR WARNING: please anyone that goes there for infant care, PLEASE read all the fine print since they WILL NOT inform you otherwise when registering. They only had Tues. and Thurs. available when I registered my infant, ok no big deal, however... a full time week is typically $350 for 5 days but they OVER charge for only 2 days being $205 or $102.50 a day! When I asked since obviously another family is using the Mon. Wed. Fri. that we are not, if they could pro-rate it to $70 a day to equal the $350 they flatly said no since its "corporate policy". So in finding a more economic friendly alternative since over $100 a day is ridiculous!, I went to inform them my infant will no longer be attending, they catch you off guard with a "2 week" notice cancellation policy. I'm not mad about the fine print but this establishment should VERBALLY inform new registering parents of the cancellation policy (which they did not) when registering since they like to verbally inform everyone of the charges and the registration fee JUST SAYING! Per their words " even if we do not use the next 2 weeks, we still will be charged $410 full tuition" All they care about is money, money, money... Sad
