I came here on a whim during the weekday after lunch rush around 230pm. Parking was ample and I strolled the area looking for an interesting place to eat and discovered this establishment.Upon arrival I realized there was only one employee and he was working diligently to clean the Fryers. He was very brief and straight to the appointment I asked him some questions about the menu and I ended up ordering the chicken tenders and waffle. He took my order made the food and brought the food out to me as he was a one-man show that afternoon. Service that day was very utilitarian and nothing above expectations simply meeting them. The seating was ample as no one else was there however I do wonder when the last time they were cleaned and or wiped down. The food arrived hot and tasty however nothing spectacular about it and a little pricey for the small portion size.

On our "tour of the Market restaurants", we finally tried out Chicken Please. All I can say is YES PLEASE!We split the six piece nugget with sauce. I had ranch, he of course, went for the Louisiana sauce. Fries - perfectly crunchy with just enough salt. Chicken was quite excellent! Perfectly moist without being greasy. $10 with tip got us in and out... lovely experience. My only criticism would be of the ranch... it did taste a bit generic. Otherwise 100% recommended!

Chicken Please is located in the river market roundabout of restaurants and shops. Atmosphere is casual, an easy place to walk across when exploring the farmers market. There are about 6 tables just outside the shop for dining. I ordered a combination chicken and sweet potato platter. Unfortunately, the chicken was dry and tough. It was hard to cut through and the flavor was zapped clean from the overcook. The sweet potato fries were tasty, but I was disappointed that for a restaurant that specializes in chicken, there was a poor delivery. Bottom Line: Dry chicken.

I'm very happy that we happened to come across this new restaurant while walking through the City Market area. The food options all looked good but I settled on the Chicken & Waffle (I did the 5 piece). It came with one small waffle and crispy & tasty chicken tenders. The counter service was very friendly as was those who brought the food to our table. We enjoyed the outdoor seating as well.

From the owners of Taste of Brazil two doors down comes Chicken Please; nuggets, tenders, wings, casserole... all things chicken. The decor blends in well with the casual eclectic City Market by having large cable spools serving as table tops inside and outside along the sidewalk.I opted for the 6 piece nuggets and fries for $7. The large pieces of chicken were juicy and tender, fries crispy and the honey garlic sauce for dipping was a great condiment. Zero complaints; I will return to sample more of the menu...

Small chicken shack in the City Market. The staff is friendly and the food is made fresh to order. The menu features fried chicken, chicken fingers, waffles, fries, etc. The chicken fingers and fries had a great flavor, were juicy, and well seasoned. The value is good for what you get. During the week you can just pull inside and park. On the weekends you'll have to park in an outside lot.

I'm prefacing this with the fact that I have high standards for wings. I sit Chicken Please at 3.5 stars (I rounded up to 4 cuz I'm nice) only because for a place that specializes in chicken, I just expected to be blown away by the wings. If you want to just grab some food and go, this place is FANTASTIC. Go during weekdays before peak hours because they can get pretty busy and seem short staffed. I'm very excited to have this new spot in River Market and hope they do well. There was a vibe that this place is targeted towards a more yuppie crowd so I expect it will thrive in the months to come, given their location. From my experience, the best aspect of these wings was the batter for sure. The chicken was moderately juicy and the sauce itself is pretty good - I only got to try the honey garlic. They mark their sauce spice levels with little peppers on the menu which is cute, but their spice scale is mild overall. They'll also offer your wings to be tossed or separated from the sauce and I ordered mine tossed. It wasn't really evenly distributed and the bottom of my wings were bare. The fries on the side were bomb and crispy. Price wise, I got the 4 wings and fries for $8.87 and left feeling full. I think it's a fair price point.

Came from overland park to find a closed sign on a Friday afternoon. Posted hours are not correct so don't come downtown just for this or you might be disappointed.

My son had a hankering for fried chicken, this did not disappoint. You get half a chicken and fries for $12.95, cooked fresh and served piping hot with crispy skin. Whats not to love?

We were in the area and needed a quick bite for the kids to eat. I honestly didn't think we could go wrong with chicken. We ordered the tender and waffle and tender and fries. The waffle reminded me of the pre-made ones we used to get from Costco, except overcooked. Tenders were bland and dry. Even the fries weren't very good. Definitely left underwhelmed by everything we ordered. The best thing was probably the honey garlic sauce and the friendly staff.
