Chen’s Buffet

The absolute worst place I have ever eaten by far. If I could eat give zero stars, I would! Buffet at 6:30 at night on a Friday night was busy but the food on the buffet was old and dried up. Saw them put one fresh thing on the bar the whole time I was there. Most of the food was less than subpar, don't know how they managed to make it flavorless. The "sushi" on the bar was an absolute joke! Had one that had a chunk of cream cheese in the middle of the rice and that was less than enjoyable. I actually couldn't eat most of the food because it literally made my stomach hurt! The only thing that was good was the chocolate pudding but it's pretty hard to mess up something that comes from a can. Not once did anyone come and offer to refill the drinks at our table, although my tea actually was good, I only drank half of it because my stomach was so upset. Was charged $12.95 per person and with the 2 teas was over 31.00 and they didn't even ask how our food was because I think they already know they were terrible. Don't waste your money! It was a horrible experience, I will never return. Some places don't even deserve a second chance and this is one of them. The place as clean at least. Never again!

Once you walk inside you know your about to experience a great meal. The options are endless and can fulfill any cravings you have. Finding Chens was like getting a getting a gold scar out of a chest from fortnite. The workers are amazing and give off queen vibes, they ate and left no crumbs. I would recommend this place to anyone that likes to eat good food. You may even run into Paolas Finest, Gucci. Eating here is a Victory Royale.

Staff was friendly and attentive.the restaurant was clean and the food was great they may need some other foods but overall it's a top bitch buffet for being small and first time here was when I was delivering the next day with my trucker pup

More of 3.5 stars, but our service was really good...HS age/college age girl with glasses. She sat us was super polite and friendly. Cleared our table fast and made sure we had water refills. The buffet itself is your standard buffet. There are better ones out there, but for the price $6.65/lunch and $8.??/dinner you can't beat that. They have a pretty big selection of things to choose from. One other review recommends the pepper shrimp and I second that. Overall the food was good. Crab Rangoon was good- but could've used more filling inside. Th egg rolls were ok.

This was a huge mistake! The food was not warm, the rice was dried out, and dried out looking. The dumplings were hard, the triple delight looked like it had been sitting there for three days. I'm pretty sure the sweet-and-sour sauce had definitely been sitting there for three days.The interior was gross. It was the kind of place that you don't want to look around too hard at, because you are afraid of what you might see. Unfortunately, after our meal we started looking around. There were dirty wash rags on the floor, The ceiling tiles were water damaged and stained, , it was disgusting all around. We really like hole in the wall places, and we are not uppity, but will never go back here again. The owners obviously have no pride in their restaurant. I tried to leave less than a one star review, but I wasn't able to.

I love this place! I was so bummed when I moved to the Midwest and found out the Chinese food is so different than it is on the west coast. All the Chinese places out here use so much sauce that it makes the vegetables feel like they aren't fresh. But this place has made me feel better about living out here. Their chicken lomein is good. Their pork fried rice is amazing. I also have gotten orange chicken, beef broccoli, and their kung pao chicken is super tasty. I didn't care for their chicken and vegetables but everything else I have totally liked. And crab rangoon delicious. This place is definitely the place to go for good Chinese. I have never eaten in because of Covid, only to go orders.

The best Chinese cuisine I've ever had!! Wish the buffet would open soon! I miss this so much.

Don't let outside appearances deceive you! They have great tasting food that is always fresh and friendly service at a great price! We do not live in Paola and we travel 15 minutes just to eat here.

Inexpensive and good tasting.Personal hygiene far exceeds other places.Food freshness is number one.Tired of expensive dives.Be smart try this place

I had the cashew chicken and it was wonderful! Buffet looks good too. I will go back. Prices are reasonable.
