STILL 5 STARS!! STILL THE BEST IN KC!! Honestly y'all, if you want the best boba in KC and can't make it to the birthplace of boba in Taiwan, you have to check out Chaiyo. As a Taiwanese girlie, I refuse to go any place else. GoCha, Kung Fu Tea, Dragonfly-- all of them fall short and consistently disappoint me. I've been an Elite Yelper for many years, and I don't go easy on places when I rate. Chaiyo is legit!!

I went with a friend who loves this place and insisted that I tried it. I'm new to boba so I didn't know what to expect. The lady who took my order was super patient as I asked a million questions and helped me choose a good non milk option for my tea. The tea itself is good, but I'm not a fan of boba. The texture is kinda weird and I'm typically not a person who gets weirded out by texture. I'm glad I tried it though. I'll definitely go back, but I just want the drink without the boba next time.

I think I've found a top favorite Boba restaurant of mine. I tried Chaiyo Tea House for the first time yesterday and can confidently say I will be returning. I am a big fan of brown sugar boba and typically get that as a first time visit drink. I ordered the fresh milk version, half sweet, and with light ice. Even half-sweet, it was a delicious Friday afternoon treat. The drink was made carefully, and the boba was some of the best I've ever tasted. The person working (I'm not sure if this was the owner) was great to chat with while he made my drink. The location has a few chairs, but this is more of a grab-and-go place. They have been here for about nine months. I was surprised not to see too many reviews for how tasty the drinks are. Make sure to try it if you're nearby!

This is a hidden gem right off I70/US 40. It reminds me of the boba tea I would have when I lived in Southern California!! I highly recommend the oolong, 1/4 sweet, with regular boba.

Everything about Chaiyo tea house is a 10/10. The service is great, everyone is always super friendly. It's always clean, the drinks are made fairly quick. I've had the lychee tea, matcha latte (best one I've ever had), ube milk tea, brown sugar milk tea (the best drink ever!), and the rose tea. The best part about Chaiyo tea house is that you can adjust the sweetness and customize your drinks to your liking. This place for sure has the best drinks around!
