Casual Animal Brewing Company

Casual Animal is one of my favorite places to hang out in Crossroads. The vibes are unbeatable. Once you go the first time, they will keep you coming back. Their space is HUGE, but trust it will fill up! If you love plants, you will love it here. In the summer time, the space is open onto patios on the sidewalk, so it's full of sunshine and happy plants. They have huge tables, small tables, high tops, couches, any seating arrangement you can imagine! If you love beers with silly and creative names, you will also love it here. Is this the absolute best beer in KC? Not in my opinion. But the vibes and the pretty good beer makes this a top tier brewery to hang out at. They are always having fun events (yoga, Chiefs watch parties, crafts), and I love when they have food pop-ups. Who doesn't want a stout and a biscuit sandwich for brunch every now and again? This area of Crossroads can get very busy, so you need to be on the look out for street parking! A couple of blocks from the streetcar line. Bring friends, family, kids, dogs, bring everyone you know! You're guaranteed a good time.

Awesome laid back brewery in downtown KC. I stopped in during a recent work trip and immediately loved the place. Since it was offered I tried a flight and was uniformly impressed with my selections. The beer was great but the vibe is otherworldly. Casual Animal is in a big warehouse-like space but somehow feels as cozy as a living room. Lots of great local art on the walls and just a warm feeling overall. The place is hip without being pretentious--a rare combination. The beers are all their own. There's not formal food service but some munchies are available for purchase. Highly recommend as a laid back spot to enjoy some tasty brews.

I love the atmosphere in this place! It's got a great vibe with the decor and plants. Makes it feel very cozy! The beer is on point and the bartender was really nice! Cool little outdoor area as well. Check it out if you're wanting a cool spot with great beer! The only thing I wish they had were more snacks but other than that it's a great place to hang!

Such a fun bar and amazing space with great beers... That's basically anything you could ever want from a local brewery.

Update: I came back a few days later and the folks working were extremely passive aggressive and rude. It seems like they were trying to force everyone out so they could close early. It looked like they might have a romantic relationship, maybe that was why?Beer is still incredible, but boy did that leave a bad taste in our mouths.

I was in town for work and quickly realized not a lot was open on a Monday afternoon. Luckily I came across casual animal brewing! It is the cutest, chillest spot. All the greenery and ceiling windows made it so cozy yet energetic. All the beer sounded good so I ordered a flight. The bartender was super nice and helpful. They played great music too. I hope to go back again next time I'm in the area!

Such a beautiful brewery! Bright light. Lots of plants. Seemed very popular. Had a large 4 screen TV that you can watch so if you need to watch a game you're in luck here. The employees were all so nice and there were so many dogs!

We went here on Monday and have been previously on a weekend. Both times were a great experience with service! I got a sour and did enjoy it but I wasn't like oh my gosh I need another one. The inside is soooo vibey and on the weekend we went you could order pizza. There is definitely plenty of space whether you're just there with a few people or a group.

My husband & I were in town a few months ago to visit some friends that brought us here. The atmosphere alone made me fall in love! I loved all of the plants & open air space & the staff were super friendly & helpful! My husband really enjoy the beers he tried & I loved their vodka spritz! The next time I visit Kansas City, this place is at the top of my list to visit again!

First time visiting this local brewery. Loved the atmosphere and the vibe inside. This is a perfect place for friends to chill! There is inside and outside seating. Plenty of games to entertain yourself and your group.its an open seating once you self pick your order.They had great service and very helpful staff to pick right beers of your choice.They had great selection of beers, we took a flight and hefe was amazing. Unfortunately no food choices but its bring your own food kinda place. So get something from outside.Street parking available!
