The chips & salsa came out quick. The chips were nice & warm and the salsa was good with a bit of spice. My sister ordered the Super Burrito special of the day for $8.99. It is very large, and she liked it. I ordered the half size quesadilla with chicken. Both dishes were served with shredded chicken. I'm not sure if grilled chicken was an option or possibly available at a higher price. But, the only thing I would recommend is more flavor/seasoning in the shredded chicken. Our table did not have silverware, but we just grabbed it off another table. And, the waiter brought extra napkins without us having to ask. Music was playing in the restaurant, but we were also seated near an employee on break who was blasting music and not using headphones. It was hard for us to enjoy our dining experience listening to two different songs at the same time for 15 minutes. But, this can easily be corrected by having employees use headphones or not play loud music during their break.

Casa Mexico is a tasty place to grab lunch or dinner in Independence. We enjoyed our lunch: beef taco salad and Pollo fundido (grilled chicken over a bed of rice with queso on top). We also ordered a side of chips and salsa. The taco salad had very fresh ingredients mixed in the crispy taco bowl/shell.The pick up time was incredibly quick and the food was ready to grab and go when we got there. Although we got the food to go, the service was friendly when we ordered and paid. There was plenty of seating and the restaurant looking very clean!

Awesome atmosphere and great staff. Rice and beans maybe some of the best I've had. Chile Colorado came out in larger chucks than I'm use to do was a tad tentative. First few chunks were very tender and the sauce was great. I ended up running into a few fatty pieces which make you gun-shy of continuing. Chips and salsa were good and the queso was really good. Very good house Margarita. Overall great food with a little suspect beef. .

Stopped here before a Mavericks Game. Summary: service was excellent, food was not.The hostess was very nice and sat us promptly. Our server was quick to bring chips and salsa but our first red flag was the chips were cold. We ordered queso and it was just fair. Our server was very attentive and the best part of our visit. We ordered a house margarita which was good and a diet Dr pepper which was good. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and my wife ordered the crab enchiladas. I really do hate to say this, because everyone has a bad night every now and then, but both dishes were terrible. The quesadilla was large, but the "chicken" was in the middle. So you got some chicken on first bite and that was kinda it. And the chicken was finely shredded and had a very strong char taste even though the quesadilla was not burnt. Finished part of one slice and that was it. The crab enchiladas were even worse...it was a pile of shredded brown stuff and tasted nothing like crab. She said the refried beans tasted greasy. And the rice wasn't very good either. She had one maybe two bites of everything and couldn't eat any more of it. We certainly wish them luck, but we won't be back and based on our experience couldn't recommend this restaurant.

Chips and salsa were great.The grilled chicken breast taco was ok. Loved the rice. The waiter was grouchy or something though. He acted as if we were inconveniencing him by being there. He wasn't friendly at all!! A kid kept screaming at the top of its lungs and no one said anything. It was ear piercing and rude. I'm not going back. There are plenty of places that offer delicious Mexican food plus great, friendly service. I won't go back.

Casa Mexico is a neighborhood favorite of ours and one of our go-to Mexican restaurants. The menu items are cooked fresh and delicious. Chips and salsa start things off along with your favorite drink. I usually order the combination steak and chicken fajitas which come out with a generous portion of veggies and your protein along with a scoop of guacamole and sour cream with your rice and beans. Prices are reasonable and the service is very good.

Stopped in for lunch based on reviews since I was in Independence. Lunch menu available with reasonable prices. Chips were warm but salsa was very watered down with not much flavor. Hot salsa was average. Lunch plate was disappointing. The chili relleno was about the size of a small cheese enchilada and the rice and beans didn't have much taste. Tostada was fair. Would not go again!

This is my favorite restaurant of all time and where we take friends and family to celebrate. It is as close to home cooking you will ever get. It's well run with good folks and the food never disappoints. The carne asada is the best in my opinion. Apps are top notch and their guacamole is the bomb. Always order the large because you'll want more. I love this place!
