I really wanted to love this place, it's actually our 2nd time trying it. We ordered dinner with my daughter on Friday evening, I was craving fajitas. My daughters food came first along with cheese dip, we needed to ask them to reheat the cheese dip as it was cold. When I placed my order I asked for no peppers and no onions, my meal came out with both peppers and onions so they did remake them but I can about 20 mins late. My daughter had finished her enchiladas and taco but we were still waiting. Unfortunately the service was not impressive, the food was just ok to taste, nothing to great. They did have a good salsa n hot salsa though.

Carmen's is not just a place that we come eat at. It's now became our go to favorite spot in town. From the welcoming staff to the amazing service by Jose at the Bar. This place checks every mark. Their food is tasty and I don't mean that in the sense that food is good. No I mean their food is spiced right, the details of how every dish is made is just inviting and makes you want to eat it. The ambiance is family friendly in the main dining hall but if you are like us try sitting around the bar area it's always a very busy area and the staff are always running around ensuring everyone is taken care of. You get a sense of community being there it's just so inviting of a place as a whole. One of our favorite dishes is the molcajete. Probably spelled it wrong but it's just so delicious and you will not go wrong with choosing it especially if you wanna share.

Looking for a tasty spot in Lees Summit for Mexican cuisine?? Carmen's Cantina & Mexican Grill will have you leaving happily stuffed. The pineapple fajita mix was stacked as high as possible with meat and topped with slices of fresh pineapple. The margaritas are worth every penny! We sat the bar but there is plenty of seating for families and couples.

Not good. No alcohol in my margarita (and I ordered a premium). Sent it back, waited 15 minutes and still had nothing in it. Chx nachos had some type of boiled chx on them and not good cheese sauce. Service was spotty at best - seemed like we had a different waiter any time they came to the table.
