Captain's Sports Lounge

First time checking out the new menu! We love having a neighborhood bar and grill close to our house. We are happy to see they are stocking High Noon again! We tried the new tots and they were pretty good. We had friends rave about them so we thought we would give them a try. Basic bar tots drizzled with cheese. The bbq was a bit dry tonight but we will certainly be back for the yummy mushrooms!

Food did not taste fresh. More like frozen food. I had wings and even with the sauce, wings had no flavor. My fiancé had fish and chips and he said it tasted like typical frozen fish. Service was not the best. I will not recommend unless coming for just beers.

This is supposed to be a pork tenderloin. It's way over cooked. This is the second one I've gotten like this. Mayo would have been helpful but I didn't request that and that's my fault. This is unfortunate because I really like the breading on their tenderloin. However, I won't order it again. The fries were good at least.

So, last night I decided to give a new place a try. Captains Sports Lounge opened a while back at the old White Horse Pub location at 10221 North Oak Trafficway. And they serve on of my favorite cuisines, Bar Grub!When I got there, I found a place at the bar and placed an order for a glass of Cinder Block IPA. I took a long look and decided I would have to make more than a single visit to sample all their fare. I settled on The Captain's Club Sandwich!On three slices of perfectly golden toasted bread, they put down a thick slather of mayo, pile on some ham, turkey, bacon, tomato, and lettuce. Tonight, I went with the onion rings with the side, but I see sweet potato fries are listed and I'll try them next! This was an excellent sandwich with the saltiness and savory meats, along with the creamy mayo. Crispiness of the lettuce and the sweetness of the tomato gave it great flavor and texture, all in all real classic bar grub meal! We were here late at night and our waitress took her time. But the food was on special so we got to sample a lot of their menu for a reasonable price! And the food was good.

We have been to this restaraunt every month for the past 9 months for dinner and drinks before our monthly meeting. We have always had a good experience until tonight. I had confirmation from my friends that 9 would be arriving at approximately 5 o'clock. We told the girls at front desk that for sure 9 maybe a ten. We always stay from 5-6:25. Tonight we were told that they would not move the tables together until everyone arrived. New rule by the owner. So here's the problem. As we each arrived they brought a set of silverware for one. A water for one. By the time the 8th one arrived, we were missing silverware and waters. When guest 5 and 6 arrived they finally pushed a table over. But when guest 9 arrived there were no more table near us because they had been given away and we had to add the ninth person at the end of the table. There were plenty of open tables in the restaraunt. They were not at all full And let's be honest, several of us don't get to sit by the people.we wanted to sit by because of the table rule. And the whole table - silverware - water RULES did not make us feel welcome. So I guess we will be looking For another location to meet up - eat - drink and visit before our meetings every month. It's really too bad. 8-12 of us eating and drinking at $25-35 each - isn't chump change. And we are only on site one hour and 20 minutes. Shake my head.

Great place! Love the vibes and the food! Live right down the road from here and I love it. Twiggy is the best!

Captain's has become our favorite sports bar destination. No matter what app or entree you get, the food is always great. The service is amazing and never disappoints. I can't say enough positive things about this place. If you're looking for a fancy restaurant, this isn't it but if you want a great sports bar with great food and great service, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!!!!

Incredibly rude service and I got food poisoned from the wings. Manager did not care. Could've fixed the issue, apologized, refunded some money, etc. but she did not care at all. Will not be back.

Dustin's sausage and burnt ends were mouth wateringly delicious. 10/10 best sausage in town. The coleslaw added the right amount of cream to the delectableness of the sausage. There's no other place in town to get a nice big and juicy sausage and burnt ends. Tell your friends. But also hide your wife.
