Captain's Corner

These burgers are delicious! I ordered the spicy jalapeño burger and it had the perfect amount of kick. The sweet potato fries and onion rings were awesome and fried perfectly! There was a line to order when we got there but it moved quickly, and the service was fast and friendly! If you're in the area, this is a must stop!

I came here with a group of ladies after we visited a farm where there were baby goats we played with. I was so hungry I totally forgot to take pictures. My bad. This place is a very popular one in Smithville. When you go in you order at the counter and then they will bring it to you. I ordered a single Captain's classic with cheddar cheese and an order of french fries. I think the patty on this burger was the biggest single I've ever had. I'm sure glad I didn't order a double but if you do you better have a big appetite. Excellent burger and the french fries were perfect. An hour later and I'm still full, lolGo here if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.

I read reviews of this place having some of the best burgers - and it is true! Grabbed a to-go order as I was leaving town - and now I will need to go back. Burger was hot, juicy, and delicious. I got a single which was more than enough. They recommend their sweet potato fries, too. Dusted with a little slap your mama - they were some of the best I have had. Don't pass this place up for friendly service, great food, and good prices. Make sure to leave some room for ice cream across the street, too.

On a recent parents night out, we had the opportunity to try a new place. Captain's Corner was recommended and it don't disappoint. The burgers were way larger than I'd expect and delicious. The service was as I'd expect for a small place, we waited about 25 mins but it was worth it. The restaurant is inside a store. So, it had a really neat, small town vibe. Would go back again!

Talk about consistent! This is hands down one of my favorite Philly Cheesesteaks north of the river! You may wait 5 or 10 minutes but it's always fresh and delicious! I would not recommend taking this to go because the it is juicy! Grab a seat and enjoy!

My sister and I came here for breakfast on our way out of town, and we're so glad we did. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so fun. Lots of decor to look at!

5/5 for meals I've eaten in a convenience store, and honestly for this type of fare it was crazy tasty. They should call this place, Captain's Corner, Crazy. Tasty. It's a quaint little spot in Smithvile, or rather Paradise, MO. It's reminiscent of a place you'd stop in the summer after a long day of boating, sun sick and starving, it hits the spot, and then some. This isn't a place you'd expect to get the best piece of cake you've eaten lately, like in past several years, but more about that later. Hubs ordered the captain's classic w bacon and cheese and I was contemplating the cheesesteak, but after talking with the gal behind the counter I went for the special because I could order the sandwich any day. The special was hot beef and potatoes, corn and a roll. I don't normally order this type of food, I'm not sure why, but I was pleasantly surprised. The tableware is disposable but don't let that fool you. This was comfort food nirvana on a paper plate. It was melt in your mouth delicious and seasoned to perfection, seriously. Hubs seemed pleased with his burger and I was jazzed about his fries. Crisp, hot, tasty, delicious! The only thing that would have improved them is a small, delicate, plastic bowl of house ranch dressing. You know, the condiment cups? I didn't ask if they had any but I wish I had. Lastly the cake...on a whim I decided to buy a piece of the cake I saw being sliced when I ordered our lunch. I understood the owner made it and there were a limited amount of slices to procure. Pineapple upside down cake/cheese cake. The top layer was moist, can I say that here, delicious Pineapple upside down cake, and the bottom layer was pineapple cheesecake. I hesitated because I don't love cheesecake, it's too heavy and my least favorite dessert. I purchased it anyway and told hubs we could share it later as we had zero room for dessert. Later that evening I opened the container and took a bite, this was pineapple upside down cake, redefined. I propose the name, Pineapple Jack cake, as in captain Jack. The cheesecake was light and fluffy with perfect flavor balance, the cheesecake combined with the regular cake had a great consistency. I'd like to buy a whole cake for Christmas.. If you buy a drink you get to pick your size, they're all the same price, and refills are free. It felt good to mingle with the laid back country folk and no C-bass in sight so I call that a win. Local people, retired people, city people, it's crazy tasty food for all the people. Grab your favorite person, take the backroads up north to Paradise, enjoy the fall scenery and anchor your ride at Captain's Corner, just don't spill the salt.

Food is great they always have something going on which is fun for my husband and me and our 12 year old can play darts with us or if there's a band we can listen for awhile until she can't stay no more we have a membership signed up the first time we went. The deal if you live close I would definitely recommend going ahead and get that membership you'll thank me later

Great service and food with lots of large portions. The daily specials are usually unique to Captains Corner and are worth the trip!!

Just had one of the specials (chicken pot pie). All fresh ingredients with large chunks of chicken breast. Awesome meal.
