Campus Grounds

I'm so glad I recently learned of Campus Grounds. This coffee shop is unique because it is "Made possible by the Fort Osage School District" and "provides a real-world learning experience for students at the Fort Osage Career & Technology Center." I love that this provides business and entrepreneurial students with real-world experience. This is a fantastic idea. The employees were great, explaining the shop's backstory and their plans for this next year of students. The employees also mentioned that a lot of the pieces on the property were made by other groups. There's a giant metal coffee cup at their entrance which was welded together by the school's student as well. Students also created some of the artwork in the building. This is the type of shop that the community needs!I had a great experience, and their coffee was top-tier. The prices are relatively low, and the quality is excellent, making this the perfect place to spend time. I got the birthday cake latte and felt that I got a good value for what I paid for. It was so tasty and better than other birthday cake lattes I've had in the past. There are multiple spaces inside and outside that can cater to any group. Upstairs, there's a large dining table with plenty of seats, great for meetings. The inside and outside seating areas can accommodate smaller to mid-sized groups. I will be returning, as I could have stayed there all day and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and great coffee.

I finally got around to stopping by here the other day to check the place out. The drip coffee was a disappointment since it tasted like office coffee. The blueberry muffin that I had was like a blueberry muffin made with a Dunkin Hines box mix. The breakfast burrito was not as good as others I've had elsewhere. It tasted fine, but it just seemed on the McD's small side for what I paid. The service was amicable. Posted images left by previous visitors gave the impression that this place would be quiet and in a secluded area. It may be quiet on most days, except for the day I decided to show up. There was a small meeting in the upstairs loft where local Osage school teachers were discussing school matters. The place is in a very secluded area, in fact, more like a desolate area. I can imagine this place in the winter time, must look like Fargo. Overall, this place seems most like an afterschool hang out for the local Osage school district with the office coffee. The inside area is comfy to sit in; however, the only issue I found was not ample outlets to plugin laptops. I may stop by again in the fall, when the area might be a nice setting to come visit. The outdoor patio has a fire pit, which would be nice then. I just hope the brewed coffee will be better next time.

Excellent vibe, excellent service.Mr. G. And I came for breakfast today. Breakfast burritos are ample. Chocolate chip cookie is wonderful.My latte was excellent as was Mr. G.s double espresso.This is a project of the Fort Osage School District. Great areas to sit and study/work.I will be back!

Great coffee, hot chocolate and lots of great menu items! The even have pints of fancy ice cream. Plus, you are supporting the student entrepreneurs learning!
