Campesino Mexican Grill & Cantina

This is now going to be my go-to restaurant for a Mexican meal. Located in a strip mall in Mission, Kansas, the renovated space is colorful with a great bar and comfortable seating. I was in the mood for a quesadilla and ordered a combo plate with a half chicken quesadilla and a beef and cheese enchilada. It came with rice and beans, as well as homemade tortilla chips and fresh salsa. Everything was tasty but that rice! So yummy, with just the right amount of garlic. I would go back just for that! My husband ordered the chorizo tacos and enjoyed them as well. It took a bit to get our food ordered but it came out quickly and was delicious. This is a great addition to Mission, Kansas and one we will visit regularly!

Love it. Everything on this menu is great. Generous portions at reasonable prices. Service is fast and staff is great. Love the vibe of this place. Huge restaurant, great bar, lots of tvs perfect place to catch a game or hang out with friends. Private parking lot.

Wow! Very impressed. We love that this is a new neighborhood place that's great for big groups and gatherings. The fajitas for two were awesome. The ratio of meat to veggies was great. Definitely did not skimp on the meat. Friendly service and we sat down right away. Can't wait to come back!

We tried this restaurant out for the first time and were generally pleased and will be back! We were seated immediately at a roomy booth. Our server brought over chips and salsa and took our drink order. My husband had a thinly sliced ribeye steak and shrimp dish and I had a fried taco dish. My husband said his was pretty good and liked the sauce on it. My tacos were good but more ground beef could have been added compared to other restaurants that I choose the same dish. The flavor was fine and the red crème sauce was a nice addition. I thought their rice was especially good and nice and fluffy. The restaurant was clean and spacious. They also have a fun photo opp right inside the door with lit up large Angel wings and a halo you can stand in the middle of!

MY NEW FAVORITE SPOT IN KANSAS CITY!!! Amazing drinks, and the food is "chefs kiss". AMAZING!This is in the stop mall by the Baskin Robbins in Mission. The inside looks fantastic with their redone booth benches, the tables and chairs and the rest of the decor.The service is fantastic here as well! Our waiter was super quick and super responsive. Cannot wait to come back!!!!!!!!!!!

Love that they have porch and some fun large margaritas. I am a huge fan of chili rellenos. I was not a fan of theirs. However the nachos and the margaritas were so delicious. I e went back for a second try and I am so happy I did.

We really enjoyed the relaxed and authentic atmosphere and decor of El Campesino. The service from beginning to end was exceptional, thank you Jose for your attention and frequent check-ins. Our food was appetizing; if you ask for the spicier salsa... it elevates flavor to a whole new level! *I would recommend for the steak to be cut into smaller pieces, they were too big for the torta. Also, más butter on the baked potato. The music wasn't overpowering, which allows for great conversations to happen. Indoor seating is comfortable, but outdoor space is also available for cool evenings. Cute pictures spots & clean restrooms. *TIP-- mix the spicy salsa & cheese dip for a finger-licking delight!

My friend and I wanted to try a new to us taco joint and decided on Campesino in Mission, KS. The place was super clean with plenty of seating and music playing softly in the background. We were immediately seated at a comfy booth and were offered the customary chips and salsa. I asked for spicy salsa and it did not disappoint. I love food with a little kick!My friend ordered the chicken tacos with pineapple while I opted for the 2-item combo with a cheese enchilada and ground beef taco. My friend loved her tacos and was happy to order extra pineapple on the side. The ranchero sauce on the enchilada was too bright for my tastes (I prefer closer to a mole) and the ground beef in my taco was mushy. The rice and refried beans were acceptable, but nothing to write home about. I rounded out my meal with the flan which was tasty. I'm open to returning to try their fajitas to see how they prepare grilled meats. Overall, I felt the experience was worth repeating but with different food options.

i'm a sucker for quesabirria tacos so if they have them i'm getting them! did not disappoint weren't super greasy which was great and the consome had a lot of flavor! margaritas were okay, too much sour mix just tasted like juice. service was quick and good. they had a lot on their menu, definitely will be back to try some more food!

We love this place! So many good options on the menu and lots of frozen marg flavors if that's your thing! Large dining room that's beautifully decorated and always very clean. We also had the Queso Fundido but didn't get a picture before it was gone!
