I was in search of an authentic, cheap Mexican spot and yelpers led me here. They were on point!! Service was friendly and prompt.Located in a strip mall off 40 Hwy, this is def authentic. Signs on the door are in Spanish. People eating inside are Spanish. The people preparing the food are Spanish. I'm def in the right place.It's Tuesday, so I order the taco Tuesday special - 3 tacos and a drink. The street tacos comes with your choice of beef, chicken or chorizo, cilantro and onion in soft and warm corn tortillas. I ordered 2 chicken and 1 chorizo. People raved about the beef - so if you are a beef eater, I encourage you to try. The chicken was good. But the chorizo was even better. Yum! Yum! So good. The drink was pineapple. Very good too. The hot salsa was not for punks. Really good heat but didn't set your tongue on fire. They serve chicken tenders for kids. Chilaquiles for breakfast. Hand rolled tamales. Birra tacos.Lunch specials. Menudo on weekends. Jarritos sodas. This is the real deal. I'll be back.

Authentic Mexican cuisine. Great and delicious menu, for multiple selections. Great Mexican vibes. Yell at the cooks who make food with incredible speed and quality. The service is fast and genuine. Never would I have tried this place if it hadn't been for my fiancé! Cali KC is located in a small gas station right off 70 hwy and 40 hwy which gets congested during rush hour. If you can look past the appearance, you will find arguably one of the best pastor tacos in town! The chicken tacos, quesadilla and tamales are all delicious as well, but the pastor is where it's at. Add to that the best hot sauce--no seriously, I don't use the word 'best' lightly. It is so spicy and flavorful. Carry-out usually takes 15 minutes. We have ordered food on at least 10 occasions here with no issues.I'm a happy repeat customer! Stay in business!

My SIL told me about this place. Otherwise, I never would of found this Mexican restaurant hidden in a liquor store. Let's get the negative out of the way. The area is sketchy, but I didn't have any problems. I got my order to go. I ordered tamales and beef caldo. My husband really liked the tamales. We both really liked the caldo. The caldo had a great flavor with plenty of meat and vegetables. They make homemade corn tortillas too. We'll be coming here again. Food = 5Facility = 2Service = 4Ambiance = 1Value = 5

this is the worst Mexican restaurant in Kcmo.. they have terrible customer service & food is not good. the employees are help or understanding pls do not to that establishment.. No refund for bad food & they will not remake so if u go there just knw u wont be satisfied with servic!!!!!!!!!!!

The most Authentic Mexican Food! They have the best Caldo de Res w/ tortillas hechas a mano in the city!

This place is amazing! It may not be the best first date spot as it's not very fancy, but you won't get more authentic Mexican food or better tacos in the Kansas City metro than this place. If you're really hungry try to Cali KC burrito, delicious and very filling!

Best and authentic Mexican food in town! We need to support this kind of food its healthy and is not expensive like some other restaurants!!I really love it!!!
