We were initially hesitant to try a new restaurant without a full parking lot, but we entered with high hopes. Those hopes were more than surpassed. We love raving about authentic cuisine, and this spot has our full seal of approval. As we walked in, we were greeted by beautiful wall art that showcased the restaurant's dream - an instant connection. Once seated, we received warm and attentive service from Nathalia. Choosing from the menu was a challenge, as we wanted to sample a variety of the authentic offerings. We settled on Pupusas de Chicharrón con Queso, Lindo Amanecer, and Garnachas de Asada, accompanied by Limonada Natural and soft drinks. While we waited, we were served Tostadas Guatemaltecas instead of the usual chips and salsa - a delightful touch of true authenticity. When the main dishes arrived, they were beautifully presented and absolutely bursting with fresh, flavorful goodness. With each bite, my husband remarked on the similarity to the tastes of his childhood.The restaurant has ample seating and a bright, lively atmosphere. As we finished our meal, we had the pleasure of chatting with one of the owners and his wife. They shared the story behind the restaurant and the fulfillment of their family's dream. We were kindly invited to join them on weekends, when live performances, talent shows, and dancing elevate the experience to new heights and a taste of sabor Centro Americano! We encourage you to explore their diverse menu and try other dishes, as several also feature a blend of American and Mexican flavors.

El ambiente estaba muy bien pero el servicio no era lo que esperaba y la comida ni se diga y más porque es un lugar que apenas va arrancando esperemos que mejoren... el menú está mal escrito( decía stake en lugar de steak) échenle ganas pongan atención en detalles como esos.

My husband and I tried Cafe Tikal and it was a very nice experience. We shared the fajitas and it was plenty for both of us. the restaurant is decorated very nicely and the service was great. It just opened so if you haven't tried it, give this local restaurant a try.
