"The manager, Drew, was accommodating and professional, making our visit enjoyable. Our server, Shawn, was attentive and pleasant, ensuring we had everything we needed. The ambiance was delightful, and the restaurant was spotless. We particularly loved the Grapefruit on the Rocks cocktail and the fresh food from the buffet--both were delicious! We had a fantastic experience and can't wait to return!"
"Loved, loved, loved how festive they have made there establishment. Even the restrooms were decked out with lights and a tree. So fun! Another on point detail was their seasonal menu. Every item on the menu was a holiday movie themed name, which made browsing the menu so fun and nostalgic and made you smile. Plenty of options from apps, pizza, burgers, salads, pasta and more. Loved the fun seasonal cocktails as well! I ordered Buddy's Berry Mojito Mocktail. Got my entree I ordered the Halloween town birria pork sandwich. Yum! If you want a fun festive spot with yummy food and great seasonal vibes, check them out!"
"Strouds never disappoints! We had a wonderful meal here. I used to eat at Strouds all the time in Wichita, but my wife had never been before. She was a huge fan of their chicken, green beans, and most definitely the cinnamon rolls. She also enjoyed the chicken noodle soup. Great deal. She had the one piece chicken dinner with a breast and could barely finish it.I had the two piece chicken dinner with a breast and a thigh, and ordered it spicy, which was amazing! We both enjoyed the potatoes and especially the gravy. They bring a nice portion of each to the table. Our server was Nancy and she was incredible! I would highly recommend that you ask for her when you visit this location because she will take excellent care of you. She had several tables including one with 10 people and we've never felt under served. She was very attentive and took great care of us.The restaurant is pretty cool inside as it is a little bit dated. It feels rustic and quaint, although it is very large. It was spotless. They take great care of this place, they obviously care about their people and the food quality is top shelf. Will be back many times I'm sure."
"Hidden gem in KC. We visited Brew Lab during KC Restaurant week and will be adding this restaurant to our list for date nights. We fell in love with their pretzel bites and queso! We had a flight of their house beer and if you like cider, I recommend Zuzu's Petals!"
"First time having drinks here and I absolutely loved the vibe of this place!!! I appreciate that the bartenders took the time to get to know my name and actually remembered it, making it feel personal. They did a great job with the drinks. They also had a cute outdoor patio that you could enjoy drinks! Definitely will be going back"
"We were in town for a hockey tournament and our team manager gathered all the players and parents for an after game late lunch at Barley's.. It was literally walking distance from the hotel that we were staying so it's very easy to access. We entered the place and we were immediately directed to a large area. The ambiance inside is really nice, the feel of real sports bar can easily be distinguished. The server was very knowledgeable and catered to all our needs, apparently they are very well versed with a hockey team coming in for a big group dining. our server was very nice and very organized, he is the only one who handled everybody's order. We were 30 at a minimum so that was very impressive. Our order came in and it was served still hot, which is nice. The cheese curds with the dip is so god. I can't remember the last time I've had a fried cheese curds but these were really good. I asked for a list of their draft beers and the server said there are over 90, but suggested Yuengling.. so I got one and it's still very cold when served, felt like the glass was in a freezer.I ordered just the spicy chicken wrap and it's ok, nothing too special about it.. I like wraps because it's easy and clean to eat, nothing dripping like sandwiches or burgers. My wife ordered the Cuban sandwich and she liked the taste and the serving was really big, she can't finish all of 'em. My youngest ordered the alfredo pasta, and he liked it.. but was too sleepy to finish so we boxed it and ate it at dinner. The stay was nice overall and it was an easy 20% tip for our server for doing such a good job of keeping up with all of us who dined in."

This was a really excellent experience! Our friends in town from Central Kansas wanted to visit Lidia's. Living here less than two years, we had not heard of it. but we were game to try it. Turns out my wife knew of the chef that is the owner of this place.Three of us opted for the special with three different pastas, a salad and dessert. The other diner very much enjoyed his short rib over potatoes. Our server, Susan, was very attentive and provided amazing service in this charming restaurant that used to be a train house north of Union Station. All of us agreed that we would like to return for another meal here. The Special this evening was three different pastas. One of them was a pear ravioli with pepper butter, another was a spiral pasta with some fiery tomato sauce and shrimp, accompanied by a fettuccine Bolognese that was a little light on the beef and pork. That was literally our only complaint. And it wasn't a complaint more like an observation. The Caesar salad here is easily in the top five I've ever had. All of us enjoyed our fabulous desserts as well. This place is a treat!

We have been here several times and every time we are satisfied. Classic Cup is delicious. Everything we have tried has been excellent. They have a coffee bar so you can have drip coffee and/or espresso. I personally love the cold brew.Service is always fast. Wait staff is terrific. Ambience is nice. You can sit inside or outside.

It's real simple folks - this place is a great brunch spot and the food is very very good. Sunday brunch is $33, but....worth it and then some. You start off with a cold bar which has all sorts of options to choose from. Then you order your entree, which are all elevated entree items to choose from. Drink was included (non-alcoholic). But...for $17 - could have unlimited mimosas or bloody Mary's!!! Service is excellent and general ambiance is perfect in this little quaint place.

I visited for the first time on St. Patrick's Day as I was looking for a place to have corned beef and cabbage traditionally, but also enjoy some nice quality time with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. I was delighted when I walked in and was instantly greeted by two people at the hostess stand. They flashed me huge smiles, and we're so grateful I was there. I couldn't have asked for a better greeting than that, especially for my first time in. I was seated in a booth toward the back of the restaurant, which worked out, and was away from the live music so we could talk.Taylan was my server and she showed me some of the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. I want to thank her for a wonderful day. I have gluten dietary restrictions. She went to check the label to make sure that Ginger beer was something that I could enjoy safely without me even asking her to do so. She also helped with the food, recommending the spicy hot chicken bites without the breading. They were delicious! I did have the corn beef and cabbage with potatoes meal as a St. Patrick's Day special. It did not disappoint! The corned beef was cooked perfectly. It was juicy. The potatoes were nice. The cabbage was great and the presentation was pretty as well. I had a wonderful time at Barley's and cannot wait to return. I am grateful for a restaurant like this and a server who is willing to help with dietary modifications. They do also have live music that was very enjoyable to listen to while we were there. Go check them out! They have ample seating and a great menu!

Happy to be so close to this awesome hangout!! It is the perfect place to go for a late afternoon patio beer, a tasty pick-me-up snack, or to catch a game. They have some pretty interesting beers on tap - we tried one with gin and a bunch of strange botanicals and while we probably wouldn't order it again we do appreciate the artistry and intrigue of something we've never conceived of tasting before! They truly do live up to their experimental Lab name! The sweet and salty pretzel bites were outta this world! Crisp and hot but soft and fluffy on the inside, I'd crush a plate of these again in a second. The fries were also tasty - overall a great spot to wind down from a farmer's market run!

Cinco de Mayo Westport Salsa Tasting Review First Place! When you think of Harry's Bar and Tables, I doubt you think salsa or even Mexican food at all, but open your mind because chef Grace is doing something spectacular in that kitchen! She's offering authentic Mexican flavors that were such a surprise. Make sure to try to catch one of her weekly specials like tamales oo tacos. Her salsa entered into the Westport Salsa Tasting Event was incredibly fresh, with the natural sweetness of the tomatoes shining through. The color was slightly green, but I'm not sure if that was from tomatillos or just different colors of tomatoes. This salsa wasn't spicy at all but didn't skimp on the favor, it had a great balance of onion, cilantro, and spices.

I have been here before and since I was in town my friends brought me here. The place is huge and well thought out. It's a beer house type of place. The food is good and tasty although today the server forgot to bring my friends soup out until the dinner and it was not hot. My BLT was real good (I added avocado) but today the bacon was super salty. Still, I will go back cause this was the 1st time that happened. The server, although distracted was still a very nice gal.

"I really enjoyed my salad. As a lactose intolerant person, I am a bit limited at a pizza joint but Lola added some BBQ chicken to a salad and it was great. I was accompanying my husband to a whiskey event here and I thoroughly enjoyed the Manhattan as well as the 'Drop the beet' which showcases gin steeped with beet. It was amazing: herbal, hearty, fruity. Lola was fabulous and is clearly an expert bartender."
"This is such a beautiful spot. It's an experience. The food is delicious. It was the most amazing steak that I've ever had. The chef has a brilliant mind and puts together a menu that is top notch. The servers are exceptional. It's almost like they're psychic because they anticipate your needs. The pastry chef has made so many of my favorite desserts. I'm so impressed by her mind too. The ice cream she creates are simply divine."
"This black owned coffee shop is in the heart of the city in a gentrifying neighborhood. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Even though it says coffee shop it's way more offering food items, smoothies, cold beverages and homemade teas. It's a place that makes you want to linger- play board games, read a book, watch tv or grab a window seat and people watch. I ordered a caramel latte with oat milk and it was delicious. My sister is not a coffee drinker and she had an in-house made chai. She loved it. In the back is an event space that is affordably priced by the hour. It even has a garage door that opens into a green space. It's a neighborhood gem that is worth trying. I'll be back for lunch."
"Love this place, had my 50 th birthday here. Great food , cold beer and plenty of TV's for sports events!! Not to hard to find in the north land, actually one of the better reasons to visit the north land!!!"
"I live close to a pole dance gym. They have 3 classes a month. So I decided to try a class at Poleworx. I absolutely loved it! No, I couldn't quite do a fireman, but I'm almost there. The instructor, Marie, was patient and helpful. The classes are so much fun. There's available parking and the location isn't that far of a drive. I loved everything about it!"
"Pair amazing Joes BBQ with private party dining and you have the 180 Room. It's the private party/banquet dining arm of Joes BBQ. The same great food and a private bartender. Our room had 2 large tables (8 tops?) and then a buffet line as well as a private bartender. Food and service was great. Would definitely put this on your list for smaller banquets."
"I arrived here to learn it's RESERVATION ONLY. I was turned away (also I wasn't dressed for fancy dinner; I get it).So that's why I'm not reviewing it, other than to suggest:Why not advertise that fact (reservations required) to avoid other curious potential customers driving here for nothing? Maybe also publish a dress code or other requirementsGood luck."
"Christmas in September! For years I have wanted a ceramic Christmas tree like my great grandmother had when I was a child. I looked online but never could decide on size. I was GIDDY when I saw that Sunfire lets you make your own and they had a variety of sizes from which to choose. This is a popular item and event because the first painting party was sold out. I snapped at the chance to attend the second party and it was fabulous. The painting party was a ticketed event so I bought my ticket ahead of time. I was not quite sure what to expect but this met my expectations and more. The wonderful staff at Sunfire handhold you through each step of the process.Within minutes of picking my tree, I was being shown the process. The staff answered all my questions and they were so nice. You can tell the staff enjoys what they do and they have fun at work. They were so gracious to everyone. There were appetizers and wine... what a nice touch. I actually think I painted better after the wine. lol. This is a small, quaint building and used to be an old gas station. It was built in 1910 and that makes this space even more special. It is brightly and eclectically decorated and a very happy, creative space. Parking was not an issue and there seemed to be plenty of spaces despite not having a parking lot and being downtown. Access was very easy which is key for me. The prices seemed very reasonable and I could tell I got so much for my money. Well spent money for a fun event. I had so much fun that I am thinking of going back soon."
"Hillcrest is a golf course in transition, and little by little it seems to be turning itself around. I played this last year and it was in terrible shape. This year the course looks better managed, greens and tee boxes are in a lot better shape, and the experience was much better. The track has a lot of fine holes, mature trees put shot placement at a premium, but give opportunities for a few errant shots. Better bring your A game out of the shoot, as the first hole, is 235 yd par 3. What I ultimately see happening is, Cerner will buy the course in 3 years and make it into their company track, at that point it will become a stellar track that everyone in KC will want to play."
"GREAT GOLF COURSE. Seriously, legit. Beautiful course, lots of challenges. There isn't much water, but that's ok. Their golf carts are legit - they have gps on them and keep score for you. The prices aren't crazy either...like $30 twilight. Boo ya."
"This review is strictly for Skip and the Champs youth program. My boys adore Skip, he's great with the kids, and my boys have consistently improved their game through this program. They enjoy the social aspect of it, but get plenty of individual guidance and encouragement."
"This is NOT a review as a member or a golfer. I have not golfed here, as the only part of golf I know how to do is the walking part. ;)I have been here on a couple of occasions as a member's guest. They have several pools that appear to be divided by age and intention of swimming. As a former swimmer, I appreciated that they had starting blocks and lanes reserved for swimming laps. However, it would be nice if they update their lane lines to something that actually cuts the wake of the diving board and other swimmers. The locker room facilities are spacious and nice, with amenities like fresh water, towels, etc. There was plenty of deck space and lots of chairs/loungers. Recently went here for dinner and drinks with a large party, including a toddler. I was pleasantly surprised. First, the club was very kid friendly and didn't appear to mind the antics of a 2 year old. The pours at the bar were huge. Although the restaurant menu is limited, they offered items ranging from $9-$69 ($69 was a dinner for two item). I ordered the KC strip dinner. For $31 you get a 12 oz strip, soup or salad, two sides, and a sauce (Bearnaise, hollandaise, etc.), which I thought was a pretty great price. My steak was delicious with a nice grid grill pattern. The sweet potato fries were actually pretty delicious as was the Matzo ball soup, and cauliflower almond-something. I did not expect much of the desserts, and anticipated they would be those frozen desserts that are mass shipped to restaurants. Much to my surprise, they appeared to be house made and most were delicious. As the server warned, the grasshopper was a total miss, but the cherry pie and almond cheesecake were absolute hits. *All in all, I've had good experiences here. There are nice amenities/facilities. Good, yet relaxed, service. And no pretentious country club attitudes...just relaxed, casual friendliness."
