"LOVELY date night spot. I love walking into a restaurant and feeling like I'm being doted on. They took very good care of us at Pad Thai! Great, succinct, friendly service.We enjoyed their soft pork spring rolls, the Roasted Duck Panang Curry (Duck was moist on the inside and perfectly crisp on the outside! Panang curry is sweet and peanutty.) As well as the Royal Thai Chicken - so saucy and extremely good flavor - loved the segments of lemongrass!I am grateful that YELP puts together collections for the KC area. We visited Pad Thai because it was on the "best eats in KC" collection, and I would wholeheartedly agree!"

There is a bar area and a full service bar. We stopped in for lunch so no drunksOur server was very attentive. Being our first time there we asked for additional time to review the menu. A seasonal menu is also available. We ordered from the lunch menu which was reasonably priced.Our orders arrived quickly and the aromas and flavors of our selections was a delight.Definitely give Lulu's a visit."

"Overall, you're paying for the ambiance here. The space is great and it's right in the heart of Park Place. There's a big inside space, upstairs with live music sometimes, outdoor seating upstairs and on the ground floor with fire pits and I think heaters in the winter. The food is good. Plating is nice. No real complaints on the food. It can be pricey. Happy hour is pretty well priced however. Service was okay- I've been a few times and this last time I went for a birthday and I told our server twice and put in our resy we came for a birthday. The server even asked if we came for something and told me she'd bring a dessert out for the birthday girl. That never happened. I totally understand it happens. Busy weekend dinner. But I've heard the same story from a few people recently so I'm not sure. I've been upstairs once and I do think it gets a bit too loud to enjoy a conversation with someone. I think it's a decent place for food if you're wanting Thai and convenience in being able to walk to desserts and or coffee or to lounge outside."

The X-Man sandwich has a wonderful flavor and is my favorite thing I have had. I also loved the Brisket Pad Thai. Just the right amount of spice...not near what a traditional Thai restaurant might be....probably a "mild +". Their appetizers we have had are excellent as well. The Brisket Rangoon is wonderful, crispy with plenty of brisket. I also love the Brisket Eggrolls and Thai Sausage Dumplings....sooo good. "Delicious food and great service is the norm here! I have tried many dishes, and have never been disappointed. As is usually the case with Thai food be cautious if you don't care for much spice lol. Thai tends to be hotter (spicier) than American, so what they call a "little heat" may be more than you expected. I highly recommend the Pad Ki Mao, and Pad Thai. Two completely different flavors, but both amazing. They have specials daily, so make sure you look as you walk in to see what is the special."

"Finally tried this Thai spot. My friends have been recommending it since I moved here 6 months ago. They were right. It's delicious! So many yummy choices but I went with the Curry Flight. I love to taste different flavors so give me a variety option like a flight and I'm in! The only down side is that they pick the curries and out of about 6 or 7 choices, you get red, yellow, and Panang. Delicious but I really wanted to try their green, Massuman, and Jungle curry as my 3 selections. I'll have to try each one of those separately. I still recommend it and all 3 of those curries were tasty. My partner got the Tamarind Chicken and other dishes at the table like Tom Ka soup, coconut shrimp, and Pad Thai were all delicious! Especially the Tom Ka. One of the best I've tasted. I'll be having that again! It was busy with a few larger parties and only a couple of servers so a bit slow at times but they hustled and got us what we needed! It was my friend's bday and even though they don't do anything for birthdays, our server stopped by to lead us all in singing happy birthday! Very, very nice people working there! The restaurant is really clean and elegant with ample seating and warm light. They are open on Christmas Day, so I may be back then since I can only take so much holiday food! I have had a few bad experiences with Thai food over the last few years and had moved more toward other styles of food but Sawasdee has restored my faith in Thai! I'm looking forward to my next visit!"

Whether you are staying in or getting your order to go, the food is made to your liking and everything I've had has been just right.I love Thai food and I almost always judge a spot's Pad Thai first. I figure that if the Pad Thai is a good, then most everything has a shot at greatness. Lanna's Pad Thai is right on target, blending all the right profiles with noodles and protein. We have ordered the Crab Rangoon, crispy wontons with a sweet heat sauce, the spring rolls, and more. Each dish is executed very well and is brimming with flavor.The spice level varies a bit, and medium, for me, usually is enough heat. Lanna Thai spices their food well, not overpowering (unless that's your thing), and the spice complements the dishes instead of dominating them. The Drunken Noodles are another hit, fresh & crispy veggies with the glass noodles in a savory & spicy sauce. Lanna is easy to find and the dining area is small but very well-appointed. Great service, LOTS of to-go activity, and pricing is very fair. The value probably outpaces the price as the food is really good and the flavors will have you back again."

On to the food.We got two lunch specials, for $12 each. A lot of food. It include hot and sour soup or salad. Lunch specials came with two crab rangoon. One of us is not a fan of crab rangoon so we asked is we could substitute something else. They were very accommodating an offered an egg roll.For our mail items we got a Chicken Pad Thai and a Pork Drunken noodles. Both servings were very big. Served piping hot. The food was delicious. Some of the best we have had. You can adjust the level of spice. I will admit one of us got 0 spice and the other 1 spice (we just can not handle overly spicey food, however we do enjoy Thai food)If you are looking for some Thai food, you should definitely give this place a try. "I love Thai Spice. Since we're only able to dash (ending today I think), and boy did I DoorDash from them. Usually it's the pineapple fried rice entree. Omg that is so good-raisins, shrimp, pineapple, cashews.I also never skip the crab rangoons. You see, their crab rangoons and little and crispy. It isn't thick like generic Chinese restaurants. When I order through Doordash, Thai Spice gives you heaping portions of everything and always get it right. It's in a great spot by the clocktower, has good vibes, and I think if you know what to order, it can be pretty tasty.I have to preface this like I do my other Lulu's reviews; it's different than traditional Thai food, in my experience. To keep it positive, I will say I have the best experiences when ordering two things, an honestly two things only: Tempura vegetables to start, and share an order of Rainbow Peanut Noodles with my wife. The tempura veggies are fantastic, and comes with an addicting cilantro chimichurri sauce. These are real veggies and lots of them; bell peppers, peas, broccoli, green beans, onions, and some mushrooms. A lot of times at other restaurants, this is filler food like sweet potatoes an giant onion hunks.. not here, it's the real deal.The Rainbow Peanut Noodles when fresh are really tasty too; creamy, spicy (depending on what you specify), and it's a huge serving. I love topping it with their fried garlic and a bit of sriracha for added kick. Service here was friendly, even if everything was running a bit slow on the date we visited. My girls loved the koi pond but watch out as some very small nails are sticking out of the wood around the tank. I can imagine grabbing a patio spot months from now, when it's not a blustery 20 degree day, would be ideal. Nice addition to downtown OP that lowkey has some good ethnic cuisine sprinkled throughout."

"When we get a craving for Thai food, we make the drive to Thai Place in Overland Park. It's been over a year since we had good Thai food and here was our experience:Location: This gem of a place is located in a spot with high turnover for food spots. The restaurants in this area really suffer for many factors that I wont get into here. I'm hoping this place does not get hit with the turnover curse. A Vibe: 9.75/10 It was clean and they had jazz playing in the background. There were two TVs going and there was nice decor on the tables. They were disinfecting the tables after people left, which was awesome to see. We felt very comfortable here.Customer service: 9/10 We were immediately greeted by the hostess and seated quickly. There was one other table with people but that was it. Everyone was kind and courteous. We did have to wait for a while for boxes and for the check, but there were only two staff members working and it was starting to get busy. A great variety: 9/10 Aside from stir fry and grapow, they have curry dishes and pho! They also have a great selection of salads. Their menu is expansive so it was hard to narrow down what I wanted to eat! It all sounded really good!Food: 10/10 Hubby got a medium beef grapow and I opted for the cashew chicken stir fry-mild. We also ordered crab Rangoon. Both dishes come with a hearty serving of rice. When I tell you this food was straight fire-I had to do a double take! The flavor was on point! The rice soaked up the sauce nicely without drying it out. The white meat chicken was tender and perfectly cut. It was piping hot and came out quick. The Rangoon was lightly crisp with the right amount of filling and a nice sauce to dip it in. WHOO! It was fantastic! Altogether with tip, our food cost $50. Cost: They do offer discounts for paying in cash. Otherwise, credit/debit is 4%. Also-please be mindful that shrimp and specialty dishes will have an extra charge! Another customer was bothered that the shrimp cost more, but it is shrimp... plus this is a new establishment. Give some grace. Overall:10/10 Thai food is hard to come by and I am so glad that we have a place nearby our home! This will be in our rotation from now on! The food was hot, fresh, and had excellent flavor. The food presentation was great and service was awesome! I am excited for our next visit!"

"I would definitely give a thumbs up to Typhoon Thai for the flavors of what we ate. We enjoyed the Pad Thai, the peanut sauce, the egg rolls and the Hidden Treasure appetizers very much. The Peanut sauce had a fresh taste. Also we got a complimentary cup of house soup too that had a nice ginger flavor. Our server carefully took our order to make sure they had it correct, repeating back what we ordered. The negatives are that it is an old building. There are some smells in the bathroom area. We were there at lunch time but it wasn't busy until a bit later. Still, our food took a while and we had to wait 5-10 mins from the time the first order was delivered until we got our last. I would definitely support this restaurant but come when you aren't in a rush. And be patient."
