"My husband and I stopped in while in KC for dinner. The place is in a nice area right by the river market. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and talked with us a bit. We got a variety of tacos to eat and all were very good. It definitely seems like you can't go wrong with any of their tacos. We will have to stop back in next time we're in KC."
"My friend and I stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. It's a great space, very fun and has an upbeat vibe. Every staff members was friendly and helpful. We split the Mexican Street Corn Fritters which were amazing!! My taco had great flavor but was a little light on the mahi-mahi. That said, I would definitely order it again. My only wish would be that they offered a round of complimentary chips & salsa. We didn't have drinks but would love to come back for happy hour."
"Such a gem in OP. Great prices, prompt service, delicious food. Tacos and burritos are always solid. Great lunch spot with plenty of tables."
"I first tried Taco Naco at the Overland Park Farmers Market and had to visit their restaurant just down the block!I've tried nearly every taco on their menu throughout the year, and my absolute favorites are the birria tacos and fried fish tacos! What sets Taco Naco apart is how they keep things authentic but add a kick to their tacos which makes them stand out from other places. If you're a first-timer and can handle the heat, I highly recommend trying their six-salsa sampler! My personal favorite is Peanut Matcha, it is super spicy but I always buy 16oz Peanut Matcha to enjoy it at home. The service is great too. You order at the counter, and they bring the food right to your table. The staff is super friendly and welcoming! The ambiance is really interesting as well. It has a vibe similar to taco spots inside Mexican grocery stores, but it still feels like a proper restaurant. There's even a small section where they sell produced goods, adding to that authentic feel, but at the same time, it's a place to sit down and enjoy a good meal. Plenty of seats, including indoor and outdoor patios to enjoy your food!Taco Naco is easily in my top 3 taco joints in town!"
"Stuey's after a work event. We def needed. Sat @ the bar while our hubs sat elsewhere. Our bartender was constantly checking in on us. There was another patron there (who seems to be a regular). He was def fun and gave us the energy we needed! Mixed crowd, good for people watching."
"Appetizers: Octopus balls. I was hesitant about this one because..well..it's octopus. I'm glad I tried it though because it was good! It's definitely more breading than octopus and if you're not careful you might miss the octopus cause it's not a big piece. Definitely something to try if you're wanting to get out of your comfort zone. Wings: The wings had a sweet & savory taste to them that I really enjoyed. Entree: I had the spicy chicken ramen bowl. You get a choice on the level of spice and I chose mild. It was the perfect amount of spice for me. My only negative is that I wished there wasn't so much spinach. Other than that, great! Dessert: The two ice cream choices are chocolate and matcha. I had the chocolate ice cream and the outside was this "shell" that was made of what tasted like rice (?) and the inside was chocolate ice cream. It was different..but in a good way!I loved the painting on the wall and the staff were very friendly!"
"This was really pretty great, and I say that even with the caveat that we ordered it from a delivery service, which doesn't always provide the best version of a restaurant. The tacos here held together really well, and were perfectly sized, perfectly portioned, and, well, perfect. I tried the al pastor which is sort of my gold standard, as well as a baja shrimp taco that includes chorizo and a chipotle aioli. That one was good, but decadent; I'd compare my order to getting a sushi order where I got a few simple ones (comparable to maki) and one decadent one, like those rolls with fried bits and cream cheese. Their chips and guac were tasty and also well portioned. We have another spot that we order from and sometimes it's an almost literal thimble of guac, not the case here. We also ordered a side of verde salsa that was great. Nothing not to like here, and even though I haven't been in, I think this is a spot that's earned some time in the rotation."
"Love this place!!!!! Very authentic!!! The gringa is only $8.50! Big enough to split with someone if you are not super hungry!!! Had the gringa with chicken. Very delicious! Also had the Jamaica drink. It's a hibiscus drink that is sweet, but not too sweet. The space is simple, clean with a repurposed decor. Bathroom is newly renovated and clean! Service is great! Parking is tricky. If you go when the tattoo shop is closed, you can park in front. During the day, we park behind Cottin's Hardware or one can park on New Hampshire St. If you are looking for chips and salsa, this is not the restaurant to go to. They don't serve chips. Not on the menu. As per alcohol- saw someone drinking a margarita and it made me want one. lol They have beers available, too. Mexican coke is available as well as other Mexican sodas.Check it out! The prices are super reasonable and you feel like you have beamed over to Mexico!"
"Oh, this is a very good place to hangout with our Japanese engineers who is staying nearby apartments, so they can drink a lot of Tequila & walking back by staggered foot!"
"I can't say enough great things about Tipsy Taco. Every time we visit, we have great service and the food is good. We LOVE the Mexican Street Corn dip to start. I crave it and love going there just for it. Lots of great local music on the weekends, specials, and seasonal drinks. We come for the atmosphere and good service we receive. The bartenders are all super friendly and attentive. We usually sit at the bar because those ladies are great!"
"AN ABSOLUTE GEM! Taco cacao has been on my list for a while but it was difficult to get to since they close at 8. But I finally was able to order the chicken, carne asada, and pork tacos! The chicken and carne asada were my favorite. Every time I took a bite it was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. The tacos were double layered tortillas and stuffed with a good amount of meat/toppings. Each tacos was about $2.50 - $3 but worth it. 3 tacos satisfied my craving - I bet if they had chips and queso it would be a game changer. I'll definitely be coming back to try the other tacos!"

So came here Thursday and the food was excellent. Everything had great flavor. Our server was attentive and made suggestions as well as what others have selected. It has a bar with TV's and tables. Beautiful older building.

Went for KCRW. Incredible experience. Top notch service. Loved the vibe of the restaurant. Plenty of open well lit seating. Vibrant bar area. But let's talk food... Dip Duo - Fire roasted poblano salsa and their signature queso con cerveza with house made tortilla chips. Perfect start. The cheese dip was super tasty and of great consistency for dipping. Loved the poblano flavor of the salsa. What a great start! Tacos - 3 Tacos of your choice. I choose the carne asada, hot fried chicken and mango-hop-andero shrimp. Each had their own vibe of flavors. Standout was the carne asada with the fire from the avocado serrano sauce. Full of fresh ingredients making this taco lover happy! Churritos - 3 mini churros in cinnamon sugar served with Mexican chocolate sauce. The soft chew of the churro, the cinnamon sugar and that delicious chocolate. Simply amazing!

Being in the middle of a low trafficked strip mall makes us forget about this gem. Yet, every time we eat here we have a 5-star meal! Taco Tuesday is a great deal with the four most common meats $2 per taco. Heck of a deal if you like chicken or pork! Personally, I think they have the best Chorizo in the entire city! Try it, you will not regret it I promise! The place is usually packed, but they always churn out the food at a very fast pace. The cashier and cooks are always very friendly too! The salsa bar still exists, but if you are getting your food To-Go, they have premade containers of all the salsas and pico now. The very hot Green Salsa is so good, but buyer beware, it is HOT!! The light Red Hot Salsa is great too. They have added a walk through market next store that opens the whole place up with a half wall in between locations. Don't forget to pick up some tortillas or chips on your way out. Thanks El Fogon!!

If you're looking for some good tacos and burritos in town, I would try Taco Naco. This place delivers on flavor, freshness, and quality. The burritos are packed with delicious, well-seasoned fillings, wrapped in a fresh tortilla. The carne asada in the tacos are tender and pair well with the pico.Beyond the food, the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive. I do wish they had a station for salsas and extra taco additives. But they do give you plenty for each taco. I also really like the grocery store aspect of the restaurant as you can shop for sauces and other authentic goods!

Was pleasantly surprised that Stuey McBrew's serves families as well as groups and couples. We visited on a Friday evening and had no trouble finding parking (on street right out front) nor seating at booth right up front. Waitress was prompt and attentive. It's kinda dark inside and VERY noisy. So intimate conversations can be difficult. Absolutely no one wore masks except the two of us. We weren't crammed together which was nice. We both ordered side salads with blue cheese dressing. I think they gave us like a chipotle ranch-was fine, but not what we ordered. The Asian garlic charred wings didn't taste anything similar to what I expected but they were hot as described. I should have gone for something more flavorful rather than hot. Hubby got the Beefy Steve's steak sandwich with onion rings. He enjoyed both. I would rate the experience and food 3.75 stars.

The food was ok. But they have an open kitchen and I saw multiple employees in the kitchen grab food with their hands and eat it while preparing customers food with the same gloves.

A vibrant, fun and delicious addition to Westport. Taco Naco is serving the basic Mexican staples of tacos, burritos, tostados, tortas...but with a bit of artisanal flair. My Carne Asada Chimichurri taco was topped with cheese and an avocado mousse; and my Shrimp Chorizo taco had a nice Chipotle Aioli drizzle. The side of elotes were the creamiest and cheesiest I've ever had. We also went with the 7 salsa sampler flight with warm crispy seasoned chips. The Peanut Macha salsa was one of the most unique flavors I've encountered - definitely will order it as my sauce of choice on all return visits.Counter ordering, but delivered to your table by friendly servers that continuously checked on us throughout our stay. I was frequently using Shazam to discover some great new music also. 5 stars on food, value, service and atmosphere.

The BEST quesabirria tacos I have ever had. This place is a hidden gem- I have come here twice now. The first time I could not believe how delicious the quesabirria tacos were, so I had to come again to make sure I didn't hallucinate that first experience. Luckily the tacos were just as delicious the second time! This is a family-run restaurant and it's great to be able to meet the amazing people making this amazing food and running this wonderful restaurant every time you come in. This is some of the best Mexican food in Kansas. The strawberry margarita I had was delicious as well. Will be hard to not just come here every time I'm in Lawrence from now on.

"Deliciously addictive. The food is excellent- but the funniest thing is I went there because k8 and I are on an all vegan thing for the first five weeks of this year and this was one of the only vegan places I found in Kansas City. What made me laugh was they had two vegan tacos, a poblano chili, and a mushroom taco... however, out of embarrassment, those were off-menu. They were on an electric rotating video board showing specials, but apparently they were ashamed of including it in the regular menu. I sort of don't blame them. Especially in Kansas/Missouri, where you can be slathered in barbecue sauce & dragged by a truck or horse and buggy for being a vegan; however, I ordered those two tacos, and they were delicious... My first cousins once removed, and my cousin in law had the regular fare and said it was awesome. I recommend if you're a low-key in the closet vegan, or even if you just like good Mexican food. Check it out!The original yelp gangster,T.J. Miller.Barbecue (barbeque, Bar-B-Que):Nounfrom American Spanish barbacoa "a rack for hanging meat over a fire," of Caribbean Indian origin"
"After many years of military service I finally retired. The first place I ate as a civilian was Snack Shack!I have eaten here since I was old enough to ride my bycicle to buy 2 tacos.I almost ate them out of tacos for my first freedom meal. Great memories."
"We visited a cute restaurant with balcony seating, perfect for enjoying the cooler August weather. It's a seat-yourself setup, and we opted for the upstairs balcony. The service was quick--our waiter greeted us within two minutes of sitting down. The only downside was that our waters never got refilled, but the pitcher of margaritas we ordered made up for it!I tried the Pork Lucha Libre Wrap, which was delicious, though a bit on the liquidy side--something to keep in mind. The chips and queso were absolutely amazing! I'll definitely be back for more chips, queso, and margaritas!"
"We love the chicken fried steak and the jalapeño gravy is really good. We were just here last night and were very busy, food was not as great as prior visits. Little over cooked and demand on the gravy showed signs of watered down. Go give it a try and the draft beer is cold . Service is always rewarding and friendly ."
"Ready for this? Chipotle gets slapped with some authenticity. This place is such a cool concept, I'm so glad they've opened! And in an area like Blue Springs, an option like this is sorely needed.Peach Margarita was delicious. The food was solid. Everything paired together, will definitely back. It's so nice to have OPTIONS. Give this place a shot, I think you'll be impressed."
"So so yummy. We were coming through on a road trip and looking for something with healthy options that could also accommodate gluten free and dairy free folks. We loved our meals the Akauashi Burger, chips and queso as well as the Cali taco were wows. But the dessert was definitely where it was at. The Hunk of Love and Kiss my Bundt were devoured so fast. Cute space with nice patio. No fault of the restaurant but there is a cross walk for the blind constantly beeping next to the patio."
"I liked the premium location at Park Place, the nice atmosphere and the helpful, attentive service during my soft opening dine-in dinner. My BBQ chicken taco ($3.50) and a side of refried black beans ($4.00) were served just five minutes after I ordered at the bar. The taco was just okay, with a 5" single layer, moist, soft, corn tortilla and a fair amount of dark, cubed, chicken meat. Three hot sauces were available to spice things up. I especially liked the generous portion of creamy, tasty, refried black beans.I noticed a nice patio adjacent to the open park-like area, a lengthy bar and a nice, spacious, recently remodeled dining area with background music (very faint).Overall, pretty nice, but next time I'll get a different entrée."
"Just recently had finally got to try the Casual Foodie. Gary had caught him several months back and all I ever heard about were the bulgogi tacos. He was just in awe of them. I wasn't sure if I believed the hype. On Saturday we saw the truck and his eyes got as big as saucers. He ordered three pork bulgogi tacos, I got two tacos, one pork bulgogi, one Caribbean jerk. We got queso and chips as well. After we found a place to sit, and Gary finally got to dig in, I asked, "Was it everything you remember and more?" He was grinning from ear to ear and nodded yes. For my experience with the Casual Foodie I have to say, the pork bulgogi lived up to the hype. The meat on those tacos is out of this world. And the sauce on it is a perfect compliment. They're topped with a fried egg so it is rich. The reason I'm doing four stars and not five is while the Caribbean jerk was good it wasn't on the level of the bulgogi. Queso was good. Friendly service. Saw they're in Lenexa this weekend and we'll probably make our way out there to get more tacos."
"This place is poorly managed. The hours they post are inaccurate. They are rude when they are open which now seems rare. Don't even trust to order online because it won't be fulfilled. Horrible business. Good luck."
"This place is amazing. A Salvadoran Restaurant that has papusa - like tortillas that come with some of the best tasting chicken fajitas I've ever had. The rice wasn't like typical Mexican style rice but had instead a chicken broth flavor. The beans were thick retried black beans. They have two sauces that you squirt out instead of salsa that you spoon out. Guacamole comes with thick chips and the guacamole was thinner, more lime and more flavorful than other places. I would give it 6 stars if I could. I have eaten at 100s or 1000s of Mexican or Salvadoran restaurants and I honestly think this was the best."
"Awesome chips and guacamole and margs!! Ate tacos before the pic! Will totally come again!"
"Such a gem and so close to work! I opted for grab and go lunch, as it was mid work day, but it was such a great stop! The menu is extensive - I ended up missing part of the menu and finding several more items to try after I had ordered (a perfect excuse to come back!). I ordered the street taco combo with al pastor tacos. There was a short wait, but well worth it for the delicious food! The tacos came with salsa and lime to be added, and sides of beans and rice. The sides were good, but the tacos were absolutely the star of the meal. They were loaded with juicy al pastor meat - I had to use a fork to eat several bites of meat that had fallen out! So juicy and so flavorful, and the salsa was a good addition (added some myself) but not needed. Can't wait to visit again for more!"
"We didn't know much about this food truck that set up shop near the Basehor Farmer's Market on Parallel Parkway. What a pleasant surprise. My wife ordered the Carne Asada Tacos and I had to have the Chicken Lime Tacos. One word comes to mind with regard to our meals. Yum!!! Three tacos per basket with plenty of meat, cheese, and I would say fresh corn tortillas. Delicious sauces! These are REALLY GOOD street tacos for a fair price and we will certainly return."
"We've been going to the original brick and mortar of Taco Naco since it first opened and we're excited to see a new location. We picked up takeout on a busy night, and unfortunately the food, which has potential, was just poorly prepared. We ordered birria tacos, a mushroom taco, a potato taco, and a brisket barbacoa taco - also, some nachos and a quesadilla for the kids. The quesadilla for one had what looked like a pound of cheese in it, so much that it was impossible to eat, as though you were served a plate of pure cheese. The tacos lacked salt and on each one the proportions were off - too much or too little meat, not enough flavor from other toppings. If everything had been properly prepared, it could have been good, but it was honestly just sloppy. Hope they get back to how things were done when they were a single location!"
"Do not judge a book by the outside of the corner store. I promise you this is worthy of the stop! This the best catfish plate I've had since my grandma used to make it . Definitely giving big mama house vibes over here. The neighbors are friendly and it feels like home! Yes the exterior cause use an update but who cares you can't eat the walls but the way they cooking in here I'll definitely lick the plate!"
"Ordered carne asada through their website. 3 tacos for 10.00 was ready in less than 20. Unplaced this order when i was passing it on the way to drop someone off at the airport and it was ready on the way back. Tacos had flavorful meat with onions and cilantro, one mojo sauce which was mild and one rojo which i'd say was medium spicy. It's located where Platte city fuels is."
