"Y'all I love Waldo Pizza. Sure, some folks could probably find some flaws here. I've had some prickly encounters with the carry out staff over the years, and it can take a long while to get a pizza delivered on a busy weekend night but good god this pizza is good. I would categorize Waldo pizza in the same sort of midwest pizza parlor style as Minskys but IMO it's the GOAT for KC. From local ingredients to the tastiest crust I think it's a slam dunk. Heck, even their homemade ranch is some of the best in biz. The icing on the cake for me with Waldo is that despite living way too far for them to deliver they will and while it takes forever that's okay given that they are still doing it and it is MUCH appreciated. If it needs a quick zap in the microwave it still hits the spot. I usually try to pick up a pizza from here whenever I'm in the area around dinner time as that's the best way to do carry out from them. I'll also add that dining in is always a win for me as well, though I rarely do so anymore."

"My favorite hole in the wall breakfast spot in KC!Their breakfast croissant is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The croissant is the perfect combo of flaky and buttery, the eggs are well-seasoned, and the ham is juicy. I crave it on the daily! They also have delicious fresh pastries that sell out almost every day. I always snag one from the display case, especially a muffin. Another side I recommend is the breakfast potatoes. Great portion, good flavor, and served with sour cream. As a self-proclaimed French toast connoisseur, their French toast is tasty! It's a French toast bake, so it has a different consistency than your classic French toast. I personally don't prefer French toast casseroles, but this one was spongy, has good flavor, and the pecans are a great addition. The service is always friendly, albeit a little slow. You order at the counter and while there usually isn't a long line, there is only 1 register so if you come at a busy time, you may wait a while. I can't wait to come back and try the breakfast flatbread and a cinnamon roll!"

"In times past we just order pizzas to go and boy are their pizzas great, but tonight we decided to try something new. We had never been in and sat down at the restaurant so we thought let's mix things up. The Ragu di Manzo is amazing. I devoured it so quickly and the only sad part was I wanted more and my plate was empty. The pork was delicious and the sauce devine. The lasagna is a lot of food. It is amazing and definitely a must try with the bolognese. The lasagna is very cheesy which makes it even better. The two different spritz drinks were dangerously delicious."

"First time diners. Discovered that Ricco's is a cozy Italian bistro with a casual steakhouse vibe. The dark interior, candlelit tables, and warm ambiance made it feel instantly inviting. There is outdoor seating, but it was full.We went specifically to try the wood-fired pizza ...we were not disappointed! The crust was a perfect blend of soft and crispy with a slight char, and the fresh ingredients elevated each bite. We choose a classic Margherita but there are other unique flavor/ingredient combinations. Two sizes - 8" and 12" ...the 12" really is ideal for two. Added a Caesar side salad to complete the meal. Service was good, a bit slow, but it was a busy Friday evening. Our server was attentive but not bothersome. Affordable prices. Nice wine selection and bar menu."

"I've been here many times for different occasions: happy out after work, first dates, consistent date nights, after finishing up a rec game, etc. -- and the service and atmosphere is always consistent, friendly, and enjoyable. The patio section is great in the summer evenings/fall, great for families or larger parties. Inside the have a mix of hightop and regular tables as well as a decent size bar that is easy to find a seat at and always good for convo if you're into chatting with people. The food and drink are delicious and consistent and typically come out quickly even in the busy times. They also have live music at times as well. Overall enjoyable for any age/group."

It's family friendly, so the little ones can go, and they have quite the selection of beers, I stopped looking after Peroni as I rarely see that on a menu anywhere and just ordered it.The wait staff is pleasant and helpful. We had a trainer/trainee combo, so attention was there with no issues.We ordered the garlic cheese bread and the meatball with cheese as appetizers, and while I personally think the meatball was a tad pricey for what you get, it was good so if you haven't had it before i recommend it at least once. The bread was almost a perfect consistency of chewy cheesy goodness.That's where the wow factor kinda ends as we head into the main course:We ordered 2 medium build your own split pizzas... and .. well, they were pizzas, nothing really to write home about. "Went here for a family gathering. We had 18 people and The service was AMAZING! from the owners to yhe wait staff they paid attention to every single person. We had som allergy issues and spent time going through everything making suggestions. The fresh bread knots they bring out with fantastic balsamic and oil with small chunks of some veggies in it sooo good. Ordered everything from spin dip to mozzarella stick abd several other appetizers. Perfection. Now, the entree I had marios seafood special IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE! Such fresh giant seafood and the pasta and sauce Devine. EVERY plate is GIANT i am not kidding. The portions will feed you easily twice. Do not miss this place!! They are opening a new location soon. "This is my go-to spot for pizza delivery on food apps. The food has been delivered 3+ times while piping hot. My favorites are the OSP dip (spicy) and crab rangoon pizza. I haven't been inside for a while but I've heard they are adding a deck out the front, which will be a huge improvement. If you like unique pizza flavors and consistent quality this is my favorite pizza spot in Shawnee and North Johnson County. It's also near downtown Shawnee which now has 3 breweries and a few new cocktail bars. Highly recommend!"

Sometimes I pick up pizza or 2 to go or with family and friends for pizza inside or on their back patio.A few weeks ago, I was in with a group and a member of my party was upset over a television station change. I tried to solve the situation that afternoon, but the tempers were fresh.... I reached out to the owner who followed up and gave me the full picture. Misunderstandings happen.The owner was very responsive and fully supported his team who were in the right ( when a patron is rude and condescending, they aren't always right ).My favorite is the KCQ sub sausage for the chicken. (Very pricey in my opinion. I paid $11 for a juice. A very good juice though!) We ordered the breakfast burrito which was very tasty, the sweet potato fries with a honey mustard aioli, and the Genoveve pizza which was incredible! The gal working at the restaurant (by herself) was the cashier, the cook and the cleaning crew. Bless her heart! Then my wife ordered an Italian beef sandwich which she said was tasty, but not the best one she ever had. I ordered a deep dish Chicago pizza for us and we enjoyed it. The crust was cracker thin, but still held all of the toppings. The sauce on the top of the dish was just delicious!I bet their regular crust pizza is excellent as well. "I might be biased because I haven't yet found a great pizza take-out place in the city, but this pizza exceeded expectations for me!A friend of mine just moved to Raytown, and heard from some neighbors and friends that this Southside Mafia Pizzeria was THE PLACE to go for pizza. So, after he moved over there, we decided to try it out, originally not sure if we wanted to dine in or take out--PRO TIP: there is no dine in! So, we walked up and ordered from the counter, which was super easy and fast. As others have noted, the inside of the shop is very small--I think about 8 people were waiting inside when we went and it was a bit crowded so we waited outside. When we ordered, they told us it'd be about 20-25 minutes, which makes sense since it was Friday and pretty busy even though we were there within the last hour if them being open.While we waited, we walked to the liquor store nearby, grabbed some goods, and when we waked back, the shop front had cleared out so we went and sat on the chairs inside. We weren't in there more than 5 minutes before the pizza was ready (total about 15 minutes waiting). While we were sitting inside, we learned that you can even order single slices, they have wings, cheese bread, and other options! Do note that all of their meats are actually turkey or beef--no pork!We ordered the Jesse James pizza that comes with beef, jalapeño, cheddar cheese, and "bacon" and it was fantastic. The jalapeños had a bit of heat like I enjoy, and the flavors, crust, and overall construction of the pizza was spot on! Definitely worth a trip if you're over that way and want some great pizza.Note: the parking lot is small and some spots connect to other businesses since it is in a mini-mall type area. Don't miss it!"

Both were piled up so much that the relatively thin crust strained a bit to hold it together; a good problem to have. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The bar area was rather large with 8 large screens. Looked like a good spot to watch sports. "An absolute Lawrence staple. We used Papa Keno's for our October 2024 wedding and it was a hit with all of our guests. They raved about it during and after the wedding! I would note that it's best to go in-person and request to speak with a manager so you can get a good point of contact if you need to do any additional communication because the "contact us" form on the website did not ever lead to a response. When we went in person we were informed that often those inquires end up in an unmonitored email. The EZ cater system was easy to navigate to place the order and make modifications. The only complaint I have with it is that it allowed us to originally place our order as delivery and we were later informed that we were outside of the delivery range despite EZ cater saying the address could be delivered to. Luckily, we were told that right after submitting the order so we had plenty of time to come up with a plan to get the pizza to our venue. I'll continue to happily support Papa Keno's and eat there as often as I can!"
