"Y'all I love Waldo Pizza. Sure, some folks could probably find some flaws here. I've had some prickly encounters with the carry out staff over the years, and it can take a long while to get a pizza delivered on a busy weekend night but good god this pizza is good. I would categorize Waldo pizza in the same sort of midwest pizza parlor style as Minskys but IMO it's the GOAT for KC. From local ingredients to the tastiest crust I think it's a slam dunk. Heck, even their homemade ranch is some of the best in biz. The icing on the cake for me with Waldo is that despite living way too far for them to deliver they will and while it takes forever that's okay given that they are still doing it and it is MUCH appreciated. If it needs a quick zap in the microwave it still hits the spot. I usually try to pick up a pizza from here whenever I'm in the area around dinner time as that's the best way to do carry out from them. I'll also add that dining in is always a win for me as well, though I rarely do so anymore."
"My favorite hole in the wall breakfast spot in KC!Their breakfast croissant is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. The croissant is the perfect combo of flaky and buttery, the eggs are well-seasoned, and the ham is juicy. I crave it on the daily! They also have delicious fresh pastries that sell out almost every day. I always snag one from the display case, especially a muffin. Another side I recommend is the breakfast potatoes. Great portion, good flavor, and served with sour cream. As a self-proclaimed French toast connoisseur, their French toast is tasty! It's a French toast bake, so it has a different consistency than your classic French toast. I personally don't prefer French toast casseroles, but this one was spongy, has good flavor, and the pecans are a great addition. The service is always friendly, albeit a little slow. You order at the counter and while there usually isn't a long line, there is only 1 register so if you come at a busy time, you may wait a while. I can't wait to come back and try the breakfast flatbread and a cinnamon roll!"

"In times past we just order pizzas to go and boy are their pizzas great, but tonight we decided to try something new. We had never been in and sat down at the restaurant so we thought let's mix things up. The Ragu di Manzo is amazing. I devoured it so quickly and the only sad part was I wanted more and my plate was empty. The pork was delicious and the sauce devine. The lasagna is a lot of food. It is amazing and definitely a must try with the bolognese. The lasagna is very cheesy which makes it even better. The two different spritz drinks were dangerously delicious."
"Lasagna pizza is soooo Margarita very good as well. Pepperoni and cheese niiiiice too ! Lady working very nice and informitive. Will go back !"
"I love the food and the vibe! It's one of my favorite places in the metro area to meet friends or go by myself. This place has an amazing beer selection, and again the food is delicious! I usually get a huge slice of pizza or one of their sandwiches. The wings are good, too."
"First time diners. Discovered that Ricco's is a cozy Italian bistro with a casual steakhouse vibe. The dark interior, candlelit tables, and warm ambiance made it feel instantly inviting. There is outdoor seating, but it was full.We went specifically to try the wood-fired pizza ...we were not disappointed! The crust was a perfect blend of soft and crispy with a slight char, and the fresh ingredients elevated each bite. We choose a classic Margherita but there are other unique flavor/ingredient combinations. Two sizes - 8" and 12" ...the 12" really is ideal for two. Added a Caesar side salad to complete the meal. Service was good, a bit slow, but it was a busy Friday evening. Our server was attentive but not bothersome. Affordable prices. Nice wine selection and bar menu."
"I've been here many times for different occasions: happy out after work, first dates, consistent date nights, after finishing up a rec game, etc. -- and the service and atmosphere is always consistent, friendly, and enjoyable. The patio section is great in the summer evenings/fall, great for families or larger parties. Inside the have a mix of hightop and regular tables as well as a decent size bar that is easy to find a seat at and always good for convo if you're into chatting with people. The food and drink are delicious and consistent and typically come out quickly even in the busy times. They also have live music at times as well. Overall enjoyable for any age/group."
"Well, well, well... pizza, huh, alright, I'll bite. The easiest way to explain this place is a pizza bar, the atmosphere sphere is what you would expect when you think that phrase, slightly louder than a pizza place, but not as rowdy as a full bar. It's family friendly, so the little ones can go, and they have quite the selection of beers, I stopped looking after Peroni as I rarely see that on a menu anywhere and just ordered it.The wait staff is pleasant and helpful. We had a trainer/trainee combo, so attention was there with no issues. We ordered the garlic cheese bread and the meatball with cheese as appetizers, and while I personally think the meatball was a tad pricey for what you get, it was good so if you haven't had it before i recommend it at least once. The bread was almost a perfect consistency of chewy cheesy goodness. That's where the wow factor kinda ends as we head into the main course:We ordered 2 medium build your own split pizzas... and .. well, they were pizzas, nothing really to write home about. They weren't bad, but I have certainly had better and I either don't understand my own spatial awareness or the split on the thing crust was off (yeah I know pedantic) but it caught my eye and I disliked it.TLDR; Overall score:Service - 5Ambiance - 4 (bar scene isn't my thing)Food - 3.5 (appetizers were wonderful, main courses acceptable)"
"Food was good , service was good , the place was full . We had a good time. The place is very popular , &they have sports on for u to watch ."
"Despite the fact that I have high sensitivities to dairy, Minsky's doesn't make me sacrifice quality or taste!! With highly personable skilled staff guiding me through the menu, I was able to settle for the perfect Dairy-Free pizza!! Since all meals are freshly prepared on order, the wait was eased by the more than welcoming atmosphere which offered open seating both in and outdoor."
"Went here for a family gathering. We had 18 people and The service was AMAZING! from the owners to yhe wait staff they paid attention to every single person. We had som allergy issues and spent time going through everything making suggestions. The fresh bread knots they bring out with fantastic balsamic and oil with small chunks of some veggies in it sooo good. Ordered everything from spin dip to mozzarella stick abd several other appetizers. Perfection. Now, the entree I had marios seafood special IT WAS UNBELIEVABLE! Such fresh giant seafood and the pasta and sauce Devine. EVERY plate is GIANT i am not kidding. The portions will feed you easily twice. Do not miss this place!! They are opening a new location soon. (Sorry about no pictures we forgot was there after a sad occasion, but all we did is smile and laugh there because of staff and owners attitudes and care for us)"
"The best, most addicting pizza in KC. Service is impeccable. These girls keep you in check and do it with a smile. Just a local bar atmosphere but has a large heated back patio and multitudes of TVs to watch the games."

I've been to Bella Napoli multiple times and the service, ambiance and food are all SPOT ON!Kliti has been our server multiple times and is a delight. This most recent time we had Katie who was just as lovely. The service really lends well to the ambiance of the restaurant. What I really love about Bella Napoli is that is a neighborhood experience. It's very homey inside and the fact that Kliti welcomes us back every time and asks about my family, is just so great. It feels like you're in a neighborhood spot in the middle of Italy. The food is also so delicious. I've never had a bad meal. Everything is fresh, tasty and unique. There are always yummy specials as well!

Def one of my fave little cafés in Overland Park. It's hidden in a strip mall, but it's worth seeking out. Great Italian food, great service, great ambiance- except the fairly open concept kitchen means it's kinda loud. Get the Garbage Truck pizza- terrible name, but it's SO GOOD. Pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, & green onions with 2 kinds of cheese on their perfectly done homemade crust.

Brewery Babe! Now, I have been well acquainted with Martin City's beers, such as the Hardway IPA, for years, but I had never stepped foot in their Taproom or tried their pizza. Until now. And man, am I happy I did because it's an experience all itself, the pizza may even be better than the beer. (That's still up for debate) I decided to visit the OG Martin City mostly because I signed up for their membership through 5-star 365 and because I knew I already enjoyed their beer. The original location is in Martin City, if that wasn't obvious by its namesake but moving on. Theinside of the taproom itself wasn't too large however, they did seem to have a large outdoor patio that I didn't get a chance to see. It's definitely a family-friendly vibe, aka casual - nothing too stuffy, exactly what you'd want in a pizza and beer joint. The menu boasts red sauce pizza creations as well as a larger portion of the menu that houses less traditional pizzas as well as ones with an alfredo sauce base. I went with one of the latter options and chose a pizza that had white sauce as well as apple, for a sweet and savory combo, and sausage. The crunch on this pizza again took note of the perfection of sweet things mixed with salty and paired candied crushed pecans on top of all the melty gooey cheese and garlicky alfredo base. This was such a winner of a combination, but it also was very rich, so after two pieces and a pint of beer, I was beyond satisfied. (And had a lunch for tomorrow) The wait time on the pizzas was quick since it's obvious these are fired to order in a specialty pizza oven. Even with a pretty packed restaurant, we ordered our beers and pizza at the same time and barely had time to sip our beers before the pizza arrived at our table! I will definitely be back, potentially month to month, to use my membership and try some more of the traditional as well as unique pizzas on the menu. It's just a bonus it can be enjoyed with a freshly brewed local beer!

Went there on a Thursday evening with a group of friends. We all had salads and shared a large pizza. The salads were surprisingly delicious! I just had a house salad with blue cheese dressing. My friend said their dressings are homemade and I could tell. The pizza was excellent as well. Our server was fantastic.

"Return trip to Broadway Brewery for dinner was a resounding success. For someone who was at Flat Branch on their opening day in 1994, I am a proud fan of both CoMo brewpubs! My table loved our fried cheese curds, porter dip, steak, Summer Cut Berry Berliner and Thresher Porter."
"This place came highly recommended from a local, and it is wonderful! The atmosphere is adorable and such a vibe! Love the decor and chandeliers! You order at a counter and they customize your pizza. There's a wide variety available, and toppings you can just about getting any combination you want. They have beers and wines on tap, several drinks in the case as well, fountain drinks too. They have gelato as well, and tons of great appetizers. All the pizza we tried was wonderful and some of the best pizza I've had! Definitely go here on your next trip to Kansas City, it's also very family friendly!"
"This is my go-to spot for pizza delivery on food apps. The food has been delivered 3+ times while piping hot. My favorites are the OSP dip (spicy) and crab rangoon pizza. I haven't been inside for a while but I've heard they are adding a deck out the front, which will be a huge improvement. If you like unique pizza flavors and consistent quality this is my favorite pizza spot in Shawnee and North Johnson County. It's also near downtown Shawnee which now has 3 breweries and a few new cocktail bars. Highly recommend!"
"Absolutely amazing food that is consistently fresh and delicious! If you're ever in KCMO this is a must have."
"First time having drinks here and I absolutely loved the vibe of this place!!! I appreciate that the bartenders took the time to get to know my name and actually remembered it, making it feel personal. They did a great job with the drinks. They also had a cute outdoor patio that you could enjoy drinks! Definitely will be going back"
"Great pizza, crafted to order with an owner that's involved with the community and responsive! This review almost went in the opposite direction. I've been through Buffalo State's door over a dozen times. Sometimes I pick up pizza or 2 to go or with family and friends for pizza inside or on their back patio.A few weeks ago, I was in with a group and a member of my party was upset over a television station change. I tried to solve the situation that afternoon, but the tempers were fresh.... I reached out to the owner who followed up and gave me the full picture. Misunderstandings happen. The owner was very responsive and fully supported his team who were in the right ( when a patron is rude and condescending, they aren't always right ).My favorite is the KCQ sub sausage for the chicken. You can order any pizza as 1/2 and 1/2, but don't do that with the KCQ because they will use classic red sauce ( house made, tomato based) instead of BBQ sauce and it's not quite as good.Awesome fresh brewed iced tea, full bar, and local beers on tap. Live music on occasion. Any size pizza ( from customized slice to a huge pizza for a party of 10 )."
"Everyone has been raving about this place and now!Located in a cute and quiet little mall in Prairie Village, the vibes here were so fresh and chill! It was really cool to have a glassed in kitchen that you can see them cooking your food fresh! The service was really fast and convient. You order at the counter and they bring it out. (Very pricey in my opinion. I paid $11 for a juice. A very good juice though!) We ordered the breakfast burrito which was very tasty, the sweet potato fries with a honey mustard aioli, and the Genoveve pizza which was incredible! We will for sure go back here, maybe even pick up dinner that they have pre made in the fridges!"
"Outstanding pizza and staff!Thank you for the quick service and fresh ingredients we loved it"
"Best local pizzeria in the metro. Great staff, high quality product, and that crust Minsky's is our go-to, in a rotation of quite a few good local pizza places. The food not just the pizza, is consistently good, the service is always great, and orders are always ready when they say so. There's lots of seating inside if you choose to dine in, otherwise take away is a fast and easy option."
"My wife and I made the track across town to check out Third Coast Pizza as we saw they had a good deep dish on Yelp. The gal working at the restaurant (by herself) was the cashier, the cook and the cleaning crew. Bless her heart! She did a great job and took wonderful care of us.I started off with a small side salad, which was very good. Then my wife ordered an Italian beef sandwich which she said was tasty, but not the best one she ever had. I ordered a deep dish Chicago pizza for us and we enjoyed it. The crust was cracker thin, but still held all of the toppings. The sauce on the top of the dish was just delicious!I bet their regular crust pizza is excellent as well. If you're looking for a good pie in the neighborhood, this is your spot."
"I might be biased because I haven't yet found a great pizza take-out place in the city, but this pizza exceeded expectations for me!A friend of mine just moved to Raytown, and heard from some neighbors and friends that this Southside Mafia Pizzeria was THE PLACE to go for pizza. So, after he moved over there, we decided to try it out, originally not sure if we wanted to dine in or take out--PRO TIP: there is no dine in! So, we walked up and ordered from the counter, which was super easy and fast. As others have noted, the inside of the shop is very small--I think about 8 people were waiting inside when we went and it was a bit crowded so we waited outside. When we ordered, they told us it'd be about 20-25 minutes, which makes sense since it was Friday and pretty busy even though we were there within the last hour if them being open. While we waited, we walked to the liquor store nearby, grabbed some goods, and when we waked back, the shop front had cleared out so we went and sat on the chairs inside. We weren't in there more than 5 minutes before the pizza was ready (total about 15 minutes waiting). While we were sitting inside, we learned that you can even order single slices, they have wings, cheese bread, and other options! Do note that all of their meats are actually turkey or beef--no pork!We ordered the Jesse James pizza that comes with beef, jalapeño, cheddar cheese, and "bacon" and it was fantastic. The jalapeños had a bit of heat like I enjoy, and the flavors, crust, and overall construction of the pizza was spot on! Definitely worth a trip if you're over that way and want some great pizza.Note: the parking lot is small and some spots connect to other businesses since it is in a mini-mall type area. Don't miss it!"
"Went for the Caesar. Very disappointing. I wanted it colder, which might just be from inattentive waitstaff, but wilty lettuce will never impress. We had just a few minutes to eat and run and they boxed our pizza to go as their recommendation. It was good. Good vibes. We liked the music and the low key feel."
"I really enjoyed my salad. As a lactose intolerant person, I am a bit limited at a pizza joint but Lola added some BBQ chicken to a salad and it was great. I was accompanying my husband to a whiskey event here and I thoroughly enjoyed the Manhattan as well as the 'Drop the beet' which showcases gin steeped with beet. It was amazing: herbal, hearty, fruity. Lola was fabulous and is clearly an expert bartender."
"It's crazy that more people aren't talking about Buffalo State in conversations about great pizza around Kansas City. The sausage alone they use here is fantastic, which is why I'm always sure to get a Stockyard when I visit so it has all their great variety of meat toppings. Pizza here is pricier than your basic national chain pizzas, but that's because you get a MUCH better pizza in terms of taste and quality. There is a reason that thoughts of Buffalo State creeps into my mind around lunch time whenever I'm craving pizza! You can see more of our experience on our YouTube travel channel: https://youtu.be/chDuT3d6i5A"
"Staff friendly and helpful. One server plucked an orange section from the bar tray and began munching down on it. Kind of inappropriate. She could have stepped into an area where public can't view. Other than that low level deficit this is a stellar pizza place."
"Minsky's is all that. Visited the Restaurant in Shawnee, KS with some co workers. Very pleasant server and staff. Always checking to see how we were enjoying our Pizza. We had 1/2 n 1/2 Mediterranean and Hawaiian on thin crust , and it was so good. Price is very reasonable. Atmosphere is comfortable and overall a very good experience. Highly recommended when passing through Kansas."
"Do you want to eat the BEST PIZZA in KC? Seriously. The pizza is insane. Bailey is the sweetest and most awesome server. And did I mention the pizza? The bones. The 4 hands hazy? This place rocks. I we will be back often."
"The place is a local legend on the east side of the KC metro. In full transparency - I look for 4 major things when it comes to pizza: 1- Green olives2- Hearty, tasty sauce3- A crust with some substance4- Green olivesTim's has it all - including green olives! Not enough places offer green olives and this is a huge miss in my opinion. The pizza has always been ready on time and the service has been good. Support this local business and get the green olives and the ham. The ham is finely chopped (unique in my experience) and for some reason that just makes it taste better. The only thing holding it back from 5 stars is the fact that they need to update the dining room and start accepting cards for payment."
"Tasted good. Had pretzels and chicharrones for apps. Sauces are good. Had fish and chips. The fries are great! The fish was average. Shaped like typical frozen fish sticks. Tasted fine. Service was excellent. Ambiance fine. Brewery/food."
"Much larger area inside than anticipated; tables, booths and counter seating. Was mainly focused on getting a pizza and was happy that they allowed half and half toppings on sizes 14" and up. Had the Farmer's market for the vegetarian side and the Mediterranean for the combo side. Both were piled up so much that the relatively thin crust strained a bit to hold it together; a good problem to have. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The bar area was rather large with 8 large screens. Looked like a good spot to watch sports. Asked for a glass of malbec and received such a large pour that I hesitated to ask if it was a single serving. What a value! Highly recommended."
"Took friends to eat at The Other Place downtown Overland Park today. Tuesday is Tenderloin Day. We all ordered the same thing. Boy were we surprised at how huge the sandwich was. And oh so tasty! Our waitress was great! Love all the tv screens! The place was very clean. Will definitely go back to try a different food item."
"An absolute Lawrence staple. We used Papa Keno's for our October 2024 wedding and it was a hit with all of our guests. They raved about it during and after the wedding! I would note that it's best to go in-person and request to speak with a manager so you can get a good point of contact if you need to do any additional communication because the "contact us" form on the website did not ever lead to a response. When we went in person we were informed that often those inquires end up in an unmonitored email. The EZ cater system was easy to navigate to place the order and make modifications. The only complaint I have with it is that it allowed us to originally place our order as delivery and we were later informed that we were outside of the delivery range despite EZ cater saying the address could be delivered to. Luckily, we were told that right after submitting the order so we had plenty of time to come up with a plan to get the pizza to our venue. I'll continue to happily support Papa Keno's and eat there as often as I can!"
"Highly recommend. I have eaten here SEVRRAL times as it close to the house and currently I have yet to have anything we didn't like. Pizzas are really good, had a pork tenderloin the other day, etc. wife raves about they have the best tater tots! Service is top notch."
