"Brand new location! Joy Wok IS a super buffet! It offers hibachi, sushi, salad, dessert, and traditional Chinese food. We went for lunch and the cost was $12.99 for adults much less for kids. All food was hot and fresh! I was disappointed in the hot and sour soup. It was mostly broth and was neither hot (spicy) or sour! The hibachi station offered plenty of veggies and protein...ask for extra sauce..All in all, it was a great experience and I am ready for more!"
"I loved visiting Brix. I got the chilaquiles verdes, the golden colada drink and dragon kiss. I might be bias, but chilaquiles were the best I've had here in KC. If you are looking for a place with great cocktails, amazing food and the perfect ambiance, highly recommend visiting!"

"Such a nice , with such good food and such a great drinks.. but not such a great service. Maybe it was an unfortunate night. But the food is really good. The ambience is great."
"We had breakfast while staying here it was very good and the view was nice as well. Nothing fancy but tasted great."
"Food: it was a little salty than expected but overall we had an excellent time.Service was attentive and a bit standoffish.Ambiance: there was not many people here so we actually enjoyed our meal."
"We brought a local work group in for a celebratory dinner. We coordinated the menu and happy hour needs in advance. The owners were very accommodating and so friendly. We had a small plates type menu that had 8 choices including meats, salad, fruit, cheese, fish and sides. Everything tasted delicious and home made. We had approximately 24 people and started with a happy hour with a full bar. The menu options were incredibly complimentary of our teams food interests. The ambience is French countryside. Fine tables. Linens. Center pieces. It's felt special and everyone enjoyed it so much. I will absolutely be back. Great experience and highly recommend this location."
"I had planned to have a girl's night here to get some drinks with an appetizer. We had the Ahi Tuna + Chips which was not much to share. It was more like a small bite for one. The drinks were good and our waitress was very friendly and recommended us our drinks based on what flavors we typically like. We were told that the menu often changes and that most of the items were tasty and couldn't go wrong with any. The ahi tuna had good flavor but it was not much of an appetizer. I wish our waitress told us that this was not an item to share since it really wasn't that much food. Luckily we snacked on the chips and enjoyed our drinks. Given the prices of the food and drinks, I was not willing to spend more money on either so we went to another place to have more appetizers and drinks later that night. I would recommend it for special occasions or if money doesn't matter to you."
"Food was great loved my Rueben, our server was a sweetheart. When a glass fell off our table (we think it was a ghost... jk) they were super prompt and cleaned it up (sorry that happened by the way). We will definitely be back! Very clean and nice vibe."
"I arrived here to learn it's RESERVATION ONLY. I was turned away (also I wasn't dressed for fancy dinner; I get it).So that's why I'm not reviewing it, other than to suggest:Why not advertise that fact (reservations required) to avoid other curious potential customers driving here for nothing? Maybe also publish a dress code or other requirementsGood luck."
"I watched the Superbowl here this year and had a great time! This place is huge! they have Sound Dogs so you can hear the game anywhere, the food is great, the beer selection good, and the prices are phenomenal. They even have a private parking lot and a private outdoor patio. I am definitely a fan. They also participate with local businesses and hosted a hotdog BBQ at the "easyhome" grand opening while I was there. Great dogs! This is my #1 spot for catching the game in St. Joe! Go Chiefs!!!"
"Looks like a pretty poppin spot in Columbia, Missouri college town Mizzou! Go tigers.I ordered the bacon, blue burger, cooked, medium rare, although it was well done, and the bread was beyond stale, I was starving so, the burger was still OK. Nothing to really write home about though. My man got the quesadilla. The weight on this thing was impressive and he smashed it, so I am assuming that was pretty good on his part. I asked if they had sweet potato fries and they said yes, but I'm pretty sure all they heard was sweet potato, because what I got was sweet potato chips with this special dipping sauce, which wasn't too bad luckily."
"The Homesteader had been on my list for a LONG time, so when my family asked me to find a restaurant for brunch after the zoo run that could accomodate a big crowd and take a reservation this place was on my radar. I was really impressed because they could actually accommodate us. I needed to make a reservation for a Saturday morning for 10 and after some research I quickly found that most places either don't take weekend brunch reservations or don't take them online for more than 8. Honestly I get why and it's fair, but it limited us on where to go. I was insanely grateful that the Homesteader made this easy peasy for us to book. The run was on a stormy Saturday and as we all finished the race we realized the rain (and thunder, and lighting) was right on our heels! This changed our plans a bit as we had planned to hang out at the zoo for a bit longer and let the kiddos run around. Instead, we ran to our cars to avoid the thunderstorm! So, what did this do to our brunch plans? It made us about 30 minutes early. We decided to go and try our luck anyways. My parents made it there first and the Homesteader was super kind and had our table ready so we were able to sit down and eat a bit earlier than expected. Now to the restaurant (I know, you've waited long enough!). I would describe this place as a hyper local, cozy, breakfast and brunch cafe. It feels warm, welcoming, and like it's been around for a while when you come inside. The folks working were honestly some of the best I've ever encountered. SO friendly, so happy to answer questions, and so kind to my kid. Honestly, they really made our visit a great one. We all tried different things on the menu and everything from the cinnamon roll to the benedict was really good! There were some unique items on the menu, and even the coffee came out tasty, which was amazing when you've waited until 10 am for your first cup of the day. Overall I'd come back for sure. The food is very good, it might not be the absolute best in the city, but they make up for it with charm, some of the best staff in town, and a cozy neighborhood ambiance."

Great food, clean facility and fresh food plus they have industrious, very friendly staff. The sushi is excellent quality and they replenish food & sauces all the time! My one negative is food scrap/trash buckets on tables are often grungy.

We checked out this new spot the other day and wow was I blown away by all the amazing food options! We ordered everything our waiter suggested. We started with the shrimp and potatoes which absolutely melted in my mouth. Next we ordered the Lomo Saltado which was ribeye steak with seared veggies and baked potatoes, red onions, and Brix sauce mix. We also split the Birria-dilla that came with a homemade salsa roja. And lastly we tried the stuffed churros for dessert! Everything was delicious and I will be back to check out their speakeasy that is hidden in the back of the restaurant.

Gram & Dun did a great job for us in a large group evening. We had a private room and a couple of designated servers. They had a special small menu for us, which was very helpful. All the food was great! From my 7oz filet and shrimp to the killer dessert, it was all good! The steak was cooked beautifully and seasoned well. I'd love to come back and try them with a small group!Great food, great service!

You're going to get a nice little view from the rooftop up here, and that creates an overall ambiance that's worth checking out, even if you're not staying in the attached hotel. I think their drinks are good, the food is really good, and the vibe is on point for a modern, unique spot in town. The parking garage here is more of a headache than it should be.. It's just the nature of the beast for this part of the Plaza, but it's tight, dark, and not well-designed at all. But, if you make it through the parking garage, Parker at The Fontaine will validate your parking, so you got that going for you. I've had more than a handful of experiences here and too many different things to remember and list out, so I'd lean on some others for food recs and the like. However, I can point you here and say it's a fun, unique spot just off The Plaza, and rewrites the idea that hotel restaurants are often forgettable.

You guys, we drove from Kansas City because I read about this restaurant being a James beard award finalist. So we got my mom to watch the kiddos and headed to Topeka for my 40th birthday meal. WORTH.THE.DRIVE. They have a 5 course tasting menu. The building itself is beautiful and historic. We absolutely loved the ambiance. They had Christmas music playing- and I love Christmas so I was a fan. We each had a cocktail that we loved. Mine was called something Soirée. It has this sprig of rosemary clipped to the glass so that every time you take a drink you get this amazing aromatic experience. Our server was super nice. We loved the risotto dish and the dessert- those were my two favorite. My only complaint was he was the only server- they could have used two. The experience could have been At least 30-45Minutes quicker as we arrived at 6:30 and headed home at 8:45. It seems all the tables had each course around the same time rather than each table setting the timing for our own meal. The food was worth it though so no big deal. It was around $200 pretipBut we felt very much worth it. We had a great time and will be back for sure!

Without a doubt the best food in McPherson! In fact, a meal from the courtyard would be a pleasure in any city. Service is impeccable. Just be prepared to make it there in the small time slot from 10-2 T-F. Bummer! I wish they were open for dinner.

I think this place is very innovative and an awesome addition for creative foods in KC! Creative fusion of upscale Indian with mixtures of various ingredients of American and other Asian cuisines. Its menu is organized from smaller plates to larger main dishes. We tried several, and I would say overall they were all pretty tasty and better shared! I think my least favorite was probably the short rib dish. I thought it fell short in taste compared to everything else. My favorite was the egg curry + toast. Flavor BOMB. Plus the chili crema was . We also go the scallops, ahi tuna + chips, lamb hummus, smash burger, cocktails and chai apple tart. Plus pick up some matches when you leave hehe.

Generous 3 stars. Should be 2 -2 1/2. This is a combination restaurant and bowling alley with one being on each side and separate. I started with a Santa Fe salad with grilled chicken, small and several pieces of the lettuce were brown on the ends. Portion size small to medium for a meal. Ordered some chicken fingers but they were really heavily battered chicken nuggets which I did not finish. Regret not taking a picture. Oh well. Maybe they're better dishes here. A couple to the right of me ordered onion rings and they also looked heavily battered.

"My husband and I stopped in Wednesday evening for Happy Hour and found out it was also Wine Wednesday = 1/2 off of bottles under 75. Happy Hour is Monday-Friday 3-5:30 pm, $3.00 off appetizers, $7.00 select drinks, $6.00 select wines and more.... Ellie and Sydney were our bartenders/servers. Ellie was very knowledgeable about everything from wine to beer to perfect pairings. She was patient and answered all of our questions, we had a lot because it was our first time in. Sydney was new and did a fantastic job mixing up our drinks and we tried many. We ordered Burata, Brussel Sprouts and Lemon +Dill + Goat Cheese Arancini. It was all fantastic, our favorite was the Arancini. It was quiet that evening but I know that it gets crowded at times. They were having some live music that evening which they have on occasion. It is a nice classy place with extensive wine list and liquor list on a tablet. No dress code but some people were more casual than others. Plenty of seating inside and outside Patio seating. I highly recommend!!"
"We really enjoy coming to this special spot. The service is quite nice and the food is always exceptional. You gotta try the wine flights--very good! We enjoyed a meal on their patio which has great shade from trees and umbrellas. The patio furniture is comfortable. The owner is lovely. After enjoying our meal I had to leave unexpectedly and the owner was so nice and accommodating. She is good people. Would recommend this spot. No complaints."
"Great little restaurant. We came for breakfast it was good, and the prices were the best I've ever seen from a decent cafe. Waiter was friendly, we will definitely be coming back and telling our friends."
"At Niecie's, you'll be able to discover & divulge into Kansas City's hidden gem / diamond in the rough that serves the finest soul food that certainly comes with a smile. As a tourist in the KC metro area, as well as a musician attending the 47th Annual National Convention of NPM (National Pastoral Musicians), I definitely wanted to go & explore what's outside of the Sheraton Crown Center neighborhood - and little did I know, I'd end up way down south along the Troost Avenue thoroughfare - and here I am at Niecie's.They have a simple formula to keep customers coming back: serve seriously satisfying, affordable comfort food, and maintain the lightest and quite possibly friendliest atmosphere in town - where the host memorizes your name on first visit, and even the window washer greets you hello, and hopes you enjoyed your meal.Denise Hayes, owner of Niecie's, has been serving soul food to Kansas City for more than 30 years, both from the restaurant's original location on 59th and Prospect, and now from the one I visited at 64th and Troost - which have been open for business since 2009; bears the familiar shape of an old Pizza Hut, but its interior - clean, outfitted in floral wallpaper and with light tile flooring - certainly feels more like Grandma's house than a pizza empire. Traditional counter service (where the best conversations are always had) is available, as well as full table service.Unfortunately, I had gone for breakfast & wasn't able to indulge in Niecie's signature dish, that is Chicken and Waffles. The staff's t-shirts proclaim it the best chicken and waffles in town - and it would be difficult to disagree. A fluffy, inch-thick waffle, sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with a heaping spoonful of butter, is topped with three crispy, fried full chicken wings. You can eat the dish any way you like, but we may humbly recommend at least one forkful of the crispy chicken with skin along with a bite of syrup-coated waffle: savory meets sweet, crunchy and buttery. It is a satisfying portion but not overwhelming, and at under $16, it is also likely the most affordable chicken and waffles available in all of KC.You really could stop at the chicken and waffles and check out the rest of their menu, but the restaurant offers much more, and seems to be a particularly good Sunday breakfast spot. I can imagine throngs of people file in & out in their church finest, savoring hearty full-plate dishes including pork chops, a T-Bone, or even the incredibly-priced $6.99 Sunrise Breakfast, which comes with sausage or bacon, egg, toast or a biscuit that comes with fresh brewed coffee. You know I had to get that, given I went on an early Wednesday morning, and I was the only diner that the hostess didn't seem to mind my low key vibe! Haha! One can also just skip straight to dinner. Niecie's meatloaf is another star: it is tangy, moist and coated with a shimmery brown gravy that is dangerously rich and good. All dinner meals are served with two sides: options include greens, black-eyed peas, navy beans, macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes, and all are served with cornbread or dinner rolls. You have so many choices that it will be tough to decide! The daily specials board are by the entrance that feature items that you are unlikely to find almost anywhere else in Kansas City: overflowing bowls of navy beans with ham hocks are served on Tuesdays, or come Thursdays for the oxtails and pork neck bones. More conventional, though no less home-style, offerings include salmon croquettes on Mondays, or whole fried catfish on Saturdays.Dessert here is also a must, though it's understandable if you have to take it home. Guests can choose from homemade chocolate and caramel cakes, loaded with hand-swirled icing, or the restaurant's specialty: peach cobbler. Preserved, spiced peaches are baked under a layer of folded, butter-rich pastry, and the dish is served hot at the table. I ordered one for to-go, and I was also told that if dining in to eat right away, ice cream can be served on top by request. I definitely regretted that last part LOL.And the food is just part of the visit (perhaps the most important part, but still not everything). Many of the servers and hosts have worked at Niecie's for decades, and genuine warmth and friendliness is clearly part of the job. The fantastic service and consistently good food have proven to be Niecie's keys to longevity. May it last another 30 years and more - and I definitely would like to dine with them when I get a chance to be in the KC metro again!"
"We went here for breakfast for a quick bite to eat. I ordered a waffle and hot cocoa. The waffle was huge and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My dining companion ordered a huge breakfast of eggs, hash browns, sausage, and I think biscuits and gravy. It was all amazing! The price was also great for the portions! If I ever have to go back to Carthage, I'd definitely go back!"
"We were in the mood for Southern Comfort Food and found Lulu Southern Cookhouse to satisfy our appetite. Lulu's had a beautiful comforting environment with soft music, low lighting in the evening, a patio, large windows, brick walls, wooden ceilings and flooring. Although the tables are next to each other, we felt that we had enough space and was not crammed. I reserved through their portal on their website and when we showed up, our table was ready and we were quickly seated. Our waiter was polite and we had a good discussion about the city and activities. The menu had a good variety of Southern Food and our food started arriving 10-15 minutes after ordering. Our favorite was the Okra, Cheese Curds & Spam because of its tangy sweetness and how well combined the ingredients just felt like fireworks in our mouth. Their Gumbo was good but I've had homemade gumbo and it doesn't compare. Their Chicken Fried Steak was probably my least favorite of the dishes we ordered because I've just had better elsewhere.THE BEE KEEPERlavender & peach tea, Tom's Town gin, smoked hot honey, lemon, lavender sugarOKRA, CHEESE CURDS & SPAM crispy fried medley of okra, cheese curds, & chicken fried spam, toasted garlic, sweet & smokey ham jamSMOTHERED CHICKEN FRIED STEAK fried beef tenderloin, crawfish etouffee, trinity salsa, mashed potatoes, bacon braised collard greensAWARD WINNING GUMBOcreole chicken, andouille sausage, shrimp, crawfish, holy trinity, gumbo roux, white rice, crispy okra, crawfish salsa, chilled marinated crab claws"
"TLDR, go for happy hour, sit on the patio, ask for Richard. The details, this place is well known for decorating for the holidays. I had to check out the Halloween decor, random hands, creepy dolls, and a giant spider and it's web weave is way through the dining room. Even outside of the holidays, the Happy Hour is Fantastic, we did 4 small plates, a few drinks and dessert. The fried salmon bites, delivered just enough salmon flavor and a sweet teriyaki, the steak fries, perfect sized for dinner for one or to share, the Mac Daddy was my favorite, KCs top rated Mac and cheese did not disappoint. The piece de resistance was Richard, he took an already fun evening to the next level."
"We came here for New Year's Eve dinner without knowing anything about this place, including the reviews. We had just got back from Mexico City and had enjoyed some top notch restaurants there, including one that my globe-trotting cousin had put in a reservation for us the week before, which was outstanding to the extent I didn't think we could find something comparable here. Alas, we did unbeknownst to us. We were kindly greeted at the door and showed to our seating area. The waitress was bubbly and suggested the special that night, which I am glad we did. It was scallops, a horseradish encrusted fillet, and seared vegetables that were pretty amazing. In all, I'd felt that we had the caliber food we would have found in Polanco zone in Mexico City, and the dinner was such a pleasant way to end the year well. Additionally, it was neat watching the kitchen skirt around and keep busy, rather entertaining. We enjoyed a desert too that was Chai Cheesecake. I'd never heard of a cheesecake combination such as this, but it was good too."
"Blade & Timber is the OG for axe-throwing, and while I loved their old West Bottoms space and all the old lumberjack vibes, they've stepped up with this new one. It's a huge space with big windows that are open on the nicer days, steel-tip darts & dartboards (I mention steel-tip because that's the real deal, compared to those clunky, 90's plastic darts that never stay in), and aisles and aisles of axe-throwing lanes. The biggest difference besides the more posh look & feel is one that's near and dear to my heart... FOOD! They have fries, chicken tenders, brioche waffles, steak & frites, and a few other tasty crowd pleasers on the new menu. Can confirm, the food is really tasty. They also have some beer & wine available. As for the axe-throwing itself, they'll have you sign a waiver and then guide you through it. It takes a few minutes to get used to, but once you do, you'll at least stick the landing. Might not get a bullseye, but I think the goal should just be get comfortable with it first. It's mildly cathartic. So TL;DR: I'm a fan of this space, the food's good, the vibe is great, axe-throwing is super fun, and it's the perfect thing to do with a group over drinks. I could totally see all the downtown companies booking this out to shake things up outside the office."
"Delicious "nice/upscale" Mexican-slanted place. All 4 of us enjoyed our food and the fancy nachos we shared. Glad we walked out of Campus Bar to eat here instead."
"Servers go the extra mile and are super sweet. Food excellent and creative. Highly recommend"
"Idk why this restaurant has only a 3.5 star rating because it's far better than most restaurants in Columbia and the prices are very reasonable. I think it gets overlooked bc the location is a little odd but the food is very good. We have eaten here twice and have really enjoyed all their dishes. The palette here tends towards sweet or salty and although I would prefer a bit more restraint I have learned that the Midwest is big on salt and sugar. They are very good at cooking their proteins just right. We ordered the shrimp risotto special without the bleu cheese because I'm not a fan of bleu cheese. Even with the special request to omit the bleu cheese it was really goodI hade the ribeye with the broiled lobster add on and it was also perfectly cooked My husband had the tenderloin w Boursin and lobster cheese on the side. Lobster and Boursin surprise my goes well together and worked well on the corn on the cob I would totally recommend this place for date night. It's a great place to get a really good meal at a very reasonable price"
"Never been axe throwing before and had no idea what to expect. This place was smaller than I imagined, and could seem crowded if all lanes were reserved. I did really enjoy the throwing instruction and demo. It was only two of us, but I think it's more of a group activity. The time allotted is perfect in my opinion. I love that they have a alcohol limit for safety reasons! I was so bad that I wouldn't dare to drink and throw. Now, do not get anything to eat here! I ordered the spinach and artichoke dip ... it was Tostitos chips and dip. You can see the bags and items through their "kitchen" window."
"Great small town old fashion feel like your still in the 50's (ok I wasn't alive in the 50's but I'm sure this place was). I ate here under different ownership approx 25 years ago. Yeah, it's still there. I order the double cheese burger. It was so messy to eat. Every bit required a napkin to wipe the juices off your hands. This isn't a complain, this is a complement! It was even better than I expected. I also had a side of tater tots which I was only able to eat a couple due to my son eating them off my plate. We walked out with a chocolate milkshake. The worse thing about this place is I waited 25 years to go back."
"The manager, Drew, was accommodating and professional, making our visit enjoyable. Our server, Shawn, was attentive and pleasant, ensuring we had everything we needed. The ambiance was delightful, and the restaurant was spotless. We particularly loved the Grapefruit on the Rocks cocktail and the fresh food from the buffet--both were delicious! We had a fantastic experience and can't wait to return!"
"John Taffer could really help this place. I bought a mango martini for my wife that came in a wine glass with two cherries instead of a martini glass. She's said it was really good and got me one. The second martini did come in a martini glass, instead of a wine glass but was garnished with an orange slice. My wife ordered a second martini at the same time and it was served in a champaign flute with no garnish at all. I want consistency in what I order. Two drinks on the same menu should be the same regardless of which mixologist makes it. Also, martini's should be served in martini glasses, wine in a wine glass, etc...The drinks were really good, just not consistently the same. The drink menu was very long, pages. It had one entire page just for martini's. I would like a simplified drink menu, one-two pages both front and back. If they have 50 "signature" drinks there is no consistency and if I walk up to a bar in a hotel for a mixed drink, I want it to be quick and easy. The last thing you want after a long day is to make even more decisions. Just give me something that tastes good (they did) and if I want a second one make it the same as the first (they did not).I know very little about mixed drinks. Don't make them at home and very rarely order them. The easier they make the process and product the better. I do know that."
"Thank. The. Lord. This bar is EXACTLY what KC needs, and specifically what the Power and Light district needs. In a city without a ton of jazz options (despite calling itself a jazz town) this spot fills a definite niche and will be one of the hottest tickets in Kansas City. Wanna feel classy and sexy and awesome? Get thee to Kill Devil! So why does this place stand out compared to the other jazz bars in town? Well, primarily in the fact that instead of acting as a listening room, where you have your seat and you just sit there quietly while applauding politely every 10 minutes or so, this place seems to embrace the rowdy, sexy nature of a jazz bar! People are dancing and mingling and while they still appreciate the excellent musicians, they're not being held captive by the tunes. Bottom line: It's hard to have a bad time when you're listening to a 10 piece brass band. Additionally, the drink menu here is stellar. Kill Devil boasts the largest rum selection in KC, and will feature a number of punch options for both individuals or groups! These are Grade-A, hand-crafted cocktails, and the price tag reflects it. But it's all part of the atmosphere. I wouldn't want to come here and drink crappy beer or a well vodka soda. Speaking of atmosphere, the decor of this place is great. All dark woods, it nods to the past but isn't overly themey. I love that they have checkerboards in the corner, it's a nice tip of the hat to Cuban/Puerto Rican/South Floridian culture, without coming off too strong. And the staff all look impeccable. Welcome to town, Kill Devil. You're top notch!"
"I'm going five stars here, because what Jay's does well is exactly what you would expect from both the size of the establishment and from the pictures on the front of the place. They do BURGERS, and no, not fancified 'gourmet' burgers adorned with too many derivatives of greens or cheeses, just a big, juicy burger with the standard accompaniments. A burger with applewood smoked bacon and garlic aioli on ciabatta is just fine, but seriously, why try so hard?Jay's is about as big as your standard kitchen, with outdoor seating as well. It's known as a carry-out place, so capacity isn't the chief concern. The focus of Jay's is their burgers, and they do them up very well! This visit had us gobbling down double cheeseburgers with the works and heaping sides of fries. The burgers are done on a griddle, not flame-broiled, and the meat mixture and cooking technique retains all the flavors and moisture. In the restaurant business they call that 'execution', and Jay's does it just right. In these uncertain times, small businesses mean more than ever and we mean more than ever to small businesses. As we were traveling south on the interstate, we made a phone call, we took an exit, and we picked up our food and ate on the patio. COVID has changed the game for so many places, but Jay's looks to be surviving well. Three burgers plus a couple of fries set us back about $30, and with the timeliness and taste, it was an excellent value. They even give you free ice cream (which we declined - burp!) and have a super-friendly staff."
"Such a friendly greeting each time we go. Taco Tuesday cannot be passed up...best fried tacos!!"
"We spent this evening at Lonnie's Reno Club. What a delight. He has so much talent and energy. It was an evening of great jazz, wonderful food and a cozy atmosphere that felt like friends. The service was wonderful as well. I'm so happy I got to experience this evening at such a fun classy Club."
"We decided we wanted to try an upscale restaurant within walking distance from our hotel and we found Charisse. We had to make a reservation which was fine. When we arrived there was one other group who looked like they were having a private party. Once that group left, which was shortly after we arrived, we were the only ones left in the restaurant. It was nice and quiet. We felt like we had our own private dinner, it was amazing.I tried the French onion soup, and my colleague ordered the meatball tempura. I had never heard of meatball tempura, and it was very good. The French onion soup was ok, it was piping hot throughout, but I felt like it needed more cheese. For my entrée I wanted to try something I don't normally order so I ordered the Bolognese. It was amazing!! Very flavorful. My colleagues ordered entrees with fries, so I tried some of their fries and they were the best fries I have ever had!! I want to go back just to order fries, lol We also tried the lemonade which were hand squeezed and they were good! There was one server the entire time and she was great!I definitely recommend if you're ever in the downtown KC area!!"
"This review is for the vanilla milkshake I just had. Can I tell you, this is the best bargain there is in all of St. Joe? Seriously. I got a large vanilla milkshake through the drive-thru window. Service was super fast even though I could see a line of people inside. My milkshake was thick and cold. It tastes like it is made with real, fresh, full-fat ice cream. It's so thick and cold that it was hard to suck through the straw, but hey, that's my problem! And it's an excellent problem to have. Man, this was good. AND IT WAS ONLY $3.25!!!! I can't believe how great of a bargain that is. Y'all, go get yourself a milkshake! And while you're at it, their tenderloins are good too."
"We went here for a team brunch. The Manager was so helpful when I called to make a reservation. The service was fantastic and food was great!"
