"One of the great retail stores in the city, worthy of making a destination from Kansas City, Topeka and beyond I'd say. And while a visit in person is a real must that's not to be missed, most are surprised to learn they ship products all over the U.S.In addition to Birkenstocks, which is what put them on the map, they also deal in Dansko, Haflinger and Chaco products. I brought a new family member from Canada in for his first pair of "Birks" and he was utterly thrilled with the experience. In spite of being told there'd be a break-in period, he barely was seen without them before heading back home. And yes, he wore them on the plane. As a long-time but infrequent customer because their products last, always happy to spread the word about the good work doing here."
"Excellent clothes and extremely helpful staff. The airline lost my luggage and they got me into a really nice suit fast. Even tailored it the same day."
"As far as resale shops go, this is a store where there is something for everyone. I found some like new and new items for great prices. While the store largely caters to teens and college students, there are some great finds for work clothes and jeans. Lucky Brand jeans for $20? Yes, thank you. I didn't buy a purse, but I was certainly tempted. There were lots of name brands with little wear. (I'm still thinking about that Marc Jacobs bag.) I had a great time combing through the racks. Then, I went to check out....What a bunch of snotty punks. The young woman at the counter acted as though I had the plague. I handed over my credit card, and she recoiled in pseudo horror as she told me that they do not accept my particular credit card. Um, ok. That's not a big deal. Why be a jerk about it? When I go to resale shops, I do not expect stellar customer service, nor do I need anyone hovering over me. But when I am standing at the counter with payment in hand, is it too much to ask to be treated with SOME kind of common courtesy?I'll definitely go back. The bargains are worth it. But, please, work on some staff development. I'd like for it to be a tad more Neiman Marcus and a little less Nieman Road."
"Great checkout service, and the selection of chiefs gear was impressive. This will be my Rally House of choice from now on!"
"Came to this sneaker shop when I visited Kansas City! It's a neighborhood shoe store owned, operated, and designed by kids! They feature exclusive sneakers as well as local clothing brands. Happy to buy my FIRST pair of Jordans from this store!"
"Had so much fun shopping with you guys today!! Spent so much money but it was after getting 50+% off of nearly everything!! Got Christmas gifts, winter wear, and even work gear!! Our dog child even enjoyed her visit! Maybe one day ya'll will get dog wear at your store!!! And to top things off, the "city" geese held up traffic right in front of the store!! Had to have been "city" geese b/c they wouldn't even move while cars were honking at them!!"
"This was what I needed this morning. Went out earlier than usual today, and typically don't go anywhere Mondays since it's one of my evening nursing center shift days.. ^__^ Anyway, Renee was the lovely person who helped me at their drive-thru window. It was such a beautiful morning to get some errands done too. But she was very sweet and helped me with friendly suggestions as I battled myself deciding what my first experience there should be. I opted small latte flavored with hazelnut and almond milk with an order of their simpleton waffles with syrup. Satisfying it all was! Just the right amount! My next experience there will be inside, which I think would be a similar layout to how Joeshmoes was. Joeshmoes was the last coffee & waffle place that used to be there. I appreciate this new place upholds the same idea and definitely appreciate how kind and wholesome they were-very much how the last business was. A very lovely experience this morning was. I look forward to my next visit. Oh haha almost forgot.. o___o The coffee was very nutty and rich! I enjoyed it a lot! As well as their waffles. Fluffy and dense! At the same time somehow lol.. ^__^ Good stuff!"
"I picked up a couple of polo shirts at a very good price ($18 each). The sales area was nicely done, and the selection was good. The service at the counter was also good. Very nice!"
"Confession. I am a card-carryin', swimmin' hole swimmin', farm-raised, barefoot-dwellin', gravel-road traversin' country girl. I was raised rurally, had a pony, we grew a garden bigger than most urban dwellers' yards. But I only took the stereotype so far. I don' t shoot, I never four-wheel, I don't own a pickup, and I most assuredly have never worn western wear (even when riding my pony). That said, I found myself in need of standard country attire of the embroidered, pearl snap variety for some fine arts costuming. Naturally, Nigro's was the best bet. I cruised down Merriam Lane one Saturday morning and got there when they opened, walked in, was hit by the scent of leather...Jackpot! A HUGE selection of clothing, and totally wearable, at that. No need to be Roy Rogers, this stuff is stylin'. I picked up the lovely light blue plaid button-up with decorative stitching and shiny snaps that I came for, but also snagged a hottie black laced-trimmed dress...very modern country...and some sweet silver jewelry with a nice vintage southwest flair. The staff was so nice and accommodating, spending time to really help me find what I needed in a way that doesn't happen anymore in the age of chain clothing stores. Prices aren't discount, by any means, but the merchandise is of quality, and there are some deals to be had. If you are looking to buy boots, be prepared to put down some coin, but they're really nice boots. This is a really nice place, it's got nice KCK flavor, the people who work there are cool, and I just might change up my personal style to shop there more often."
"Nice, organized store with very helpful employees. I just needed a few KC souvenirs for a gift and was helped right away to point me in the right direction. I had a coupon at checkout and that went fine too. One of the items I picked up accidentally didn't have a price sticker, but the employees worked together and one of them looked up the code while the other finished ringing up the rest of my items."

Suffice it to say that I *can't* say as much as I want about my enthusiasm for Footprints! I love this place and can quite easily proclaim it as my favorite shoe store in the whole wide world! I've been shopping here for my very most favorite shoes throughout the past 20 years and have never found another shop that parallels the variety, comfort and quality of the shoes here. I have hard-to-fit feet and I'm very much of the camp that form and function are equally important. I won't wear cute shoes more than once if they hurt my feet, but I'm willing to spend a decent chunk of change on a pair that not only looks and feels good, but will last. My inner hippie loves all the Birkenstock lines (and you'd be amazed at how many styles besides the familiar Arizona there actually are!), but sometimes I need to dress things up a little. Brands such as Haflinger and Art fill that bill for me. Footprints also carries Chaco, Dansko, Børn and other lesser known, but equally fantastic brands. I do best with shoes that are sized with European measurements, as I find them more acurate and consistent than the American system. When I'm trying shoes in American sizes they range anywhere from 9.5 to 11 (and many brands don't make half sizes after size 10), but in European size, it's always a 41 (narrow in the Birks, which especially eases my self-consciousness about having big feet). Finally the bigest bonus about Footprints is that they always have a clearance rack where it's not uncommon to find shoes marked down as much as 50%. They also have a huge warehouse sale once or twice a year where I have spent hundreds (if not a thousand) dollars over the years on shoes, many of which I still own. It's a truly euphoric experience if you're both a shoe person and a little bit on the granola side like myself. Bonus: It's also next door to Mass Street Music, so if my husband has been dragged along with me, he gets the reward of shopping for guitars while he waits on me!

Visited this place while in the area on holiday and in need of a high school banquet suit for our athlete . Due to his athletic build we need to find a place that can tailor suits and happy we found this place while on holiday . The shop is very nice with good suits and accessories moderate to high price and the key find is they had his size and able to tailor within 2 days . We came back for pick up and try on and it was very nice , took out the worry of having a nice suit for banquet in 1 week . Good customer service , Freindly staff , nice organized store .

I was briefly impressed when I found this store a year ago or so; the last few times, not so much. The clothes are jammed in so tightly it's hard to look at them. The shoes are scattered and not organized. Customer service? Well, if you consider saying "hi" when I walk in, and "Bye" when I leave customer service, you're set. I carried a few pieces around the store, and had to assist myself to get a dressing room. When I came out to hang my rejects, the employee walked right up to me and didn't say a word.Lower end brands are well represented here; there are a lot of purses, that say they are Coach or another name brand. To be honest? I found better quality (and MUCH better prices) at the area Goodwill store. Many of these were clearly 'shrunk' from washing, and fading. That I would expect at Goodwill for $4.00; not here for $20.And yes, my visit to a similar store in St. Louis (see reviews) did spoil me, but I wouldn't hold all stores to the standard they set.

if I could give zero stars I would. I'm not sure what the heck was going on the day I was in there but it was a total shit show. I felt sprey for the cashier who was getting very frustrated & I was starting to after about 25 min of this too, he had to ask for another persons number every time to log into a register which was stupid. the register wasn't working for some reason?? Instead of helping him finish me & figure out what the issue was they just keep doing other customers & leave him frustrated going back & forth from one register to another having issues. Also needing to get a # each time to log on! OMG it was so stupid & took forever! I questioned a return on the order didn't look correct, & this girl comes over & says that will go on your card ? ok but it's my debit card the same one I'm using now? any purchasing more items?? wouldn't that be a exchange anyway, whatever I had my receip. but they didn't refund the tax so stupid. And I still do not see the return credit on my bank 8 days later!!

After I received my CC Permit, I started going to the range. I enjoy it but the ammo prices are crazy high. So I decided to go to some of our local outdoor sporting good shores i.e. Bass Pro, Academy, Etc. Their prices are normal compared to what ranges' charges but they never had what I was looking for or needed. What good is it if the prices are good but never having the inventory or have the inventory to charge customers crazy high prices. Every so often I would go to the sporting good stores first thing in the morning as recommended by their reps and left empty handed. So I went on line to searched and came up on Rogers. The price were not the lowest and not the Highest. Rogers' prices (below mid range) are very competitive and also had the inventory. With fast and free shipping, I had to try it. Ordered it on Thursday around noon time and I received it that Saturday. On their website under shipping, they have a map of the U.S with the amount of business day(s) it would take to get it to your location. I got exactly what I ordered in carefully packaged box. Bottom line, I purchased what and when I wanted without feeling like I got price gouged. Awesome feeling! I will reorder from them.

I have to say that this is my favorite GV coffee shop. All of them are great, but the ambiance and the tasty drinks are unmatched. When I want to go out for coffee, half of the experience I'm paying for is the environment. Valley Social Coffeehouse does that so well. This is one of the few coffee shops where I feel comfortable staying and relaxing. The music is always on point and the drinks and food are top notch. I love trying the new flavors each month and lean towards fun coffee, but their non-caffeinated drinks are equally tasty. They have my absolute favorite chicken salad sandwich. I don't know what the secret ingredient is, but I've genuinely never had a better chicken salad sandwich from a restaurant. My second favorite thing is that you can get nearly any flavor of coffee you want year-round. I had a pumpkin latte in June and I was beyond happy. I've tried a lot of coffee and a lot of coffee shops and I think this is my top.

"This is a store for men, women, girls, boys, and babies. They have it all here. It reminds me of Burlington Coat factory, minus the coats. They have a huge area for mainly women, really cute modern and up-to-date type of clothes, casual wear, club wear, and even clothes with style from 20 years ago. The styles vary very much which I love. The prices are low/mid-range like Burlington so you can find some clothes that are affordable, yet trendy here. I would definitely recommend for people to check this store out. It's a store within a shopping center. Not quite a mall, more like an indoor outlet. There is a security guard at the entrance who is very nice and quite funny too."
"Five stars for being the old school men's clothing busines they are. Five stars for not being like too many other places I personally find soul sucking, tedious and tiresome: the Dillard's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Kohl's, Neiman Marcus crowd, etc. ... yadda yadda. And kudos for lasting this long. After years of only occasionally driving by and wondering about the store, made the stop and was immediately pleased with the personalized attention from their primary sales person on duty. Huge choices of suits, jackets, coats, shirts, ties, etc., everything you'd expected. And my attention perked at their custom tailored shirts they offer. May have to try one of those. I intend to return here as often as the need calls. As an added bonus, if you're wanting to shop for men's clothes then take someone out to dinner, lots of great places in the immediate neighborhood, so you don't need to worry about moving the vehicle."
"Collectors will love this store. If you're looking for reenactment clothing, gear, and accessories this is your spot. I even found some books, fabric, brass buttons, rifles, and even ammo. Not to mention some jewelry in the front of the store and a cute wooden spoon doll. If you're looking for some original Civil War costumes and accessories make sure you stop in Liberty and check this place out. The woman behind the cashier was pleasant and informative."
"Whether you're looking to rep KC, or want some gear for the next college football game, you've come to the right place. This is their new location on the plaza and it's a lot more airy and open than their previous one. It's easy to find what you're looking for, and they really have just about anything for any local team you could imagine available. Aside from that I just feel like the quality of the clothes here are superior to what you might find for the same cost at a nearby rally house or other retailer that carries more mass produced merchandise. I'm not sure if they make their own t-shirt or outsource them but I haven't ever found one that is as soft and comfortable to wear around the house. If you're visiting KC this is also a fabulous spot to stop in and pick up some souvenirs - if t-shirts are your jam. I have a hoodie, a few t shirts, and some sweatpants from there and honestly they are all top notch IMO. Be sure to keep an eye on their Instagram for limited releases as they sell out fast!"
"What an amazing shopping experience for men! We went in to check it out today and were taken care of by George. This store prides itself on customer service and you feel it during your entire visit. The quality of the mens clothes, shoes, etc appears to be top of the line. They offer free alterations with purchase and they are very accommodating to having things finished when you need the items, not necessarily when it's convenient for them. They plan on remodeling the current location and taking over a larger part of the shopping center (contrary to what people think, they are not kicking the restaurants out of the location) and according to the picture, the new space is going to be beautiful!George was able to help hubby find a new blazer as well as some new pants - it was a bonus that they were having a sale! I can see this being our new go to place for hubby!"
"I'm 65 years old and have spent the last 25 years lamenting the demise of men's stores in America. I still work, plan to keep working for several more years, and want to dress nicely for both work and leisure. After five minutes with Anthonio I not only had a new tailor, I had a new friend. No longer will I have to put up with some hipster huckster trying to sell me clothes or shoes styled for 20-somethings.I went in to replace a wardrobe essential . . . my black blazer. I didn't know they could shrink like that (wink, wink)! Anyway, Anthonio and I spent the next hour fitting the blazer and two pairs of matching trousers. That's how meticulous he is about making sure you look good in his clothes. I'm sure his business is built upon the word-of-mouth, "Hey, that's a great looking suit. Where'd you get it?"While I waited for Anthonio to finish with a customer I strolled around looking at all that Moda Domani has to offer. I'm convinced I can find everything I need to stay well dressed. This time I found the blazer I needed hanging on the rack, but I'm anxious now to get measured for one of Anthonio's bespoke suits."
"Went to this location this afternoon for the $25 dollar fitting (long game - 1 hr) special with just four clubs. My advice would be that if you are a SCRATCH GOLFER, stay away from this place. The individual who assisted me was fair at best and was very unprofessional since the session only went about 15 minutes, and I was quickly rushed out of the store.Makes you feel that part of their salary is COMMISSION BASED, and if you are not there to get new clubs, upgrades, etc, they will rush you out as quickly as they can. With that being said, I purchased a FULL SET of GEN-6 clubs last year through PXG Headquarters and only got one round out of them prior to my hip replacement surgery last June. The only thing that is saving me from switching to another brand, would be my military discount with PXG.And if the young lady would have taken her time and been more professional, I would have purchased the new BLACK OPS driver using the fitting specs from my fitting session."
"Like a local version of Urban Outfitters but with a bit of an odd vibe. As I scoped the scene I spied a security guard with a side arm who was playing on his phone (he must be a ninja), employees on the floor minding their own business (unless customers were folding shirts), and all of them were bobbing their heads to LMFAO. Party Rock was in the house apparently. Good thing I was on a mission that didn't require assistance which was getting t-shirts!!! There were lots to choose from: KC w/heart, No Coast (love it), Royals, but the winner was one of Bunker's own prints, the KCMO. I scoped the scene once more while at the register and security guard was still on his phone (probably on a crime solving app), "I'm in Miami !@$&!" was playing and the employees were still bobbing their heads. Anywho...I was happy that they were having a sale which was $5 off when spending $25. I felt that was a discount for having to listen to 3 LMFAO songs.Tourist Tip: good place to get some KC tees when wandering Westport but don't expect the super friendly and helpful service that you have probably experienced at other places in Kansas City."
"My daughter adores this place. She always finds great deals on lots of clothes and accessories here. They have pieces from all eras, vintage and brand new-looking. The staff is always super nice and helpful. On our most recent visit, we found an adorable Peter Pan collar velvet dress and a wool beret. All for less than $20!! Can't beat that. Parking is easy too. There are a few spots on the street in front of the store, plus a big lot in the back on the south side."
"DVA is the only place to be for streetwear, vintage, and luxury clothing! The owner, Rome, is always hospitable. Clothes are always on good rotation and the vibe is perfect. Im a frequent customers. Get over there!"
"If you're at all familiar with the recent influx of KC pride t-shirts, I'd wager that you've seen Normal Human's wares. They've been selling in boutiques around town such as The Bunker, Westside Storey and MASH Handmade. Good news! They're going big time and have opened up their own retail space on Westport Road! The corner storefront is pretty large, and right now I'd say at least 75% of the space is dedicated to production. There are a ton of windows and thus natural light, and it's a clean and airy space that is a pleasure to be in. The merchandise is rather limited but well curated, and a number of other local brands are represented. Off the top of my head I can recall seeing products from local businesses Owl + Mouse, Sandlot Goods and Vintage Edison. This is, of course in addition to a full line of Normal Human's t-shirts for man, woman and child. They're brand new, in fact I don't think they even had a sign when I visited. As they navigate from wholesale to retail, I look forward to seeing what they come up with. I highly suggest a visit to Normal Human."
"This place is so jam packed with merchandise and people that it's well worth your visit! Clothing, jeans, boots, jewelry and odds and ends galore! Okay, so that being said, here's the story...We were in the area for a ball tourney and had about 1 1/2 hours to kill in between games. Our choices were (1) a going-out-of-business sale at Office Depot (save your time and skip this altogether), (2) looking at pleather footwear at Payless shoes (thanks, no thanks), (3) roaming the aisles of a nearby Walgreens (and purchasing unnecessary bags of Halloween candy), or (4) checking out Nigro's. Since I'd driven by numerous times without a stop in, the latter won my time. And later...my money...The rundown... Upon entering the door, you will be immediately greeted. And I'm not talking about some weak and feeble "hi, welcome to Nigro's" brush off. You will get a hearty hello as if you've been there 100 other times before. Warning! Warning! This good feeling will immediately put you further in the mood to spend cash. And even if this was a stop off spot to kill some time in between ball games...you WILL spend some cash. And speaking of spending cash (or check or charge), the prices are pretty reasonable with sales going on for certain things all the time. Bonus! The owners are there and are incredibly fun and personable. I enjoy the Nigro Brothers Auctioneer services and now I love this store!"
"This is a cool, local shop with some great options for gifts in Corinth Square. I like how well thought out all the various curations are, including cool apparel, vintage puzzles, and stuff for plant lovers (i.e., my wife). First off, kind of a perfect location for those in the neighborhood as you can knock out a lot in Corinth Square and grab some gifts along the way. If you're a National Park lover, look for their candles, postcards and puzzles. They also have cool coffee mugs and some of the best looking blankets I've seen around town. Hard to nail down specifics in this review because there are so many unique things, but those were some standouts that caught my eye. Shop local and check this spot out! Oh and I should add their website has a LOT of the goodies you can find if you need some inspiration: https://www.tylerkingston.com/"
"Concur with the one other reviewer as of today that Todd's is a great place to shop. While I'd never been here and made a point of stopping in to see what they offered, I really appreciated the attention and casual banter with the gentlemen working that day. Did see a number of items that caught my eye and may need to return as they were a little more summer fashion leaning--not that I'm any kind of fashion icon-- but I do play one on TV.If you come, parking on busy Broadway can be a challenge but here's my rec: making a real KC kind of experience by parking across the street at Town Topic and dive right into some of their food. Is it possible to really understand this town if you don't ever dine here? I don't think so. You know what they say... never shop on an empty stomach.Highly recommended if you're in the market for a suit, some really cool shoes and a bit of casual wear on the side."
"We had a fantastic experience at Slabotsky's thanks to Pat! Originally, we came in for a few alterations and suggestions on a groom's suit. There was an amazing deal going on for wedding party's: $159/suit with free alterations. We thought there had to be some catch and with our wedding less than a month away, no way was it possible to get suits in for our groomsmen. We explained our circumstances and Pat said they could do it. So away we went, going through all the suit colors and options. The material was great and the deal was even better. I mean, to rent a suit alone was that much or more. Pat slowly went through the options for us, told us the deadline of when we needed all the measurements, and assured that the tailoring could happen close to or around the wedding date because some of our groomsmen are from out of town. He asked for all of our groomsmen's names and was very helpful through the process. After getting that all picked out, he started working on the clothes we actually brought in that needed alterations. Pat was very thoughtful, patient, and pleasant to work with. My fiance generally gets very anxious when he has to go shopping or get this tailored so this was a double whammy for him. We stayed for almost 2.5 hours and by the time we left, he mentioned that the experience was as good as it could get.If you need to suit up your men for any occasion, I would come here. If you need tailoring, I would come here. If you need inspiration, I would come here. This is a small shop and not super glitzy, but it's family-owned and they truly know their stuff. What is better than that?"
"It's not uncommon to happen upon a Kansas City themed boutique store these days, but I do appreciate how Westside Storey feels to be doing its own thing, and always is just oozing with that je ne sais quoi that makes shopping at any trendy spot oh so fun. Everytime I pop in here I spend at least 30 minutes because aside from carrying local goods from other makers, they have their own brand that they sell, and it's fun to see what new ideas they've come up with to support KC with. They also, especially in recent years, have grown a reputation as THE place for vintage sports gear in town. Even earning the attention of celebrities like Taylor Swift. The vintage wears here are not cheap, but they are well curated and legit. You don't have to spend a fortune to shop here though, they have tons of stuff for every budget, and if you are a fan of this city I'm sure you'll find something fun to take home with you."
