We had driven 8 hours already today and still have 9 more tomorrow. My husband found this place on yelp and since I was desperate I thought I'd go for it.I was pleasantly surprised. Walked in and had no idea I was in a strip mall. The past few spas I have been to did have the nice bonus of the bathrobe and shower facility, but those bonuses come with a hefty price too. Nice seating area, nice waterfall. Heated massage table. Very quite as well.Chelsey the massage therapist was fantastic. I did an hour massage 30 minutes deep and 30 minutes Swedish. She worked magic!! Perfect pressure. Never judge a book by it cover. From the outside- typical strip mall- inside very relaxing and great massage.88$ for an hour massage. Fine price by me!! The last spa massage I received only a month or two ago 220$ for one hour- guess that was a pricey rental of a bathrobe!!Defiantly recommend!!"

(Having previously worked in a massage therapy clinic had its benefits!) So when I moved to Kansas City I tried to find a massage therapy center I liked. I probably went to 8 different places receiving okay-but-not-great massages before finding The Therapy House on a last-minute Groupon. It was my lucky day.I have been a regular client coming monthly or more for three+ years. Billy is fantastic. He has a very firm touch and seems to just have a knack for knowing where the knots are & how to make me feel better. I love the heated neck pillow.I am never more relaxed than after an appointment with The Therapy House. I couldn't recommend the place more. I'm excited to see the new location!"

Melody R. "Kristen was awesome. Friendly and interestingly chatty. She made me feel really comfortable to talk with as I was getting wrapped and was very knowledgeable. I hadn't noticed that their was a coffee and tea machine plus glasses for water til the end but that was a bonus for my husband waiting in the lobby. A cpl of downs was I didn't lose as much as I would've like especially none on my calves. And I asked what card I had place my RSVP on and they couldn't see it. I kinda had to guess and hopefully it was the right one and I won't get double charged using 2 different cards. Other than that, I will definitely come back again next time I'm in the area. Thanks Spa Catalina and Kristen for a relaxing day."

Booked a 1/2 and 1/2 massage and signature facial after a cancellation. I was impressed the owner kept my name and number and really called when she found out she could squeeze me in after I had checked on availability. The facial was fantastic and included an enzyme treatment. I veryMuch enjoyed the diffused oils and the nature sounds piped in the room. My skin is still glowing. David was my masseuse. He was super engaged and made sure I was doing ok throughout. I will most definitely be back.

Wonderful! I rarely write reviews. But, I really wanted to share my experience. This is only the second massage I've had in my life. The first one was many years ago and a very unpleasant experience. Not a very comfortable experience, and I was in pain for at least a day or two afterwards. So, I was a bit leery after I received a gift certificate for a massage at The Therapy House. Although the location doesn't face Metcalf directly, it's easy to find. And when you step inside, you are greeted with a most relaxing ambience, right from the start. The front desk attendant was very helpful. They were already expecting me and I had a very short wait.The room where the massage was performed, was comfortably lit, with soft music and a very comfortable environment. Melody was my masseuse. I don't know how long she's been doing it, but she certainly knows what she's doing. Unlike the previous massage, she was explaining a lot about what she was doing. I did not feel the pain that I felt with my last experience. This was a very calming and comforting experience. And, after I left, and for the rest of the day, I felt so good. I highly recommend the therapy house. And, I will definitely be back. I'm glad that I gave it a shot.

I had been searching for a deep tissue massage therapist that was experienced in working on patients recovering from injury after I broke my left arm. I went to Back and Bodyworks and found the staff very open to listening to my concerns, as concerned as I am about my recovery, and that Sharon Schneider (the owner) is an incredible massage therapist. My arm feels the best it has felt since before the accident.Wonderful, considerate, caring and compassionate staff - highly recommended.
