"By appointment only! My kids made this appointment for my Christmas gift for a 2nd ear piercing. The experience was SO professional- walked me thru the entire process prior to starting.Very clean and detailed process!!I greatly appreciated the attention toLocation and asking me many questions regarding what I planned to wear in the 2nd spot and how I like to wear the 1st pair.Ensured I knew all about cleaning, timing to heal, things to watch for, etc.Very impressive experience and I highly recommend."
"The staff at Crystal Point Body Piercing were super knowledgeable and very friendly. I have been wanting to get my nostril pierced for a long time and finally decided to do it today.Jared helped me pick out the perfect stud in my price range for my nose after going through tons of choices (decision making is not my strong suit). He was super patient and very helpful. My piercer, Michelle, was very thorough and explained the entire process while being quick and efficient. She walked me through placement as I went back and forth on what side to place it on. Overall, my experience was super positive, and I will be back. I cannot recommend them enough!"
"My daughter dropped off her watch to have some links removed and a battery replaced. Upon picking it up today I was told the movement needed replacement for $150+parts. I took the watch to a different jeweler where I was told the watch had the wrong battery. They installed a new correct battery and the watch works perfectly now"
"This is such a fun and cute little boutique in downtown Weston. It has some antiques upstairs, and home and kitchen goods on the main level. Everytime I stop in here there is always something fun to look at, and it's often tempting to leave without one of the homemade treats they sell in their cold case!"
"My daughter is newly obsessed with crystals and has fallen in love with this place. I went with her one day and I admit I was expecting some sort of dark creepy dungeon-like place and Aquarius is not like that at all!! It's bright and very, very clean. The staff was so lovely and welcoming. And they know their stuff! They told us about their products and were so eager to share their knowledge. They have sooooo many crystals to choose from- all extremely well organized, in all different sizes and price points. Most of them have descriptions about them and if they don't, the staff can offer info on them. They have a huge jewelry selection, some beautiful clothing, a fairly large kid's toy section, and a large room filled with books for sale. Anything you want regarding metaphysical/pagan/Wicca, etc. is available here. Such a fun store!!"
"This is the only place I will get pierced or buy jewelry! I've only had positive experiences and have been here 8+ times for piercings & jewelry changes. Now, will you drop some money... Yes. However, the jewelry is top notch and your body will thank you!"
"Super nice staff here. 2 different people greeted me warmly, and another asked if I needed help. A fourth person at the register was so sweet and gave me a coupon for a month free of a new movie streaming service they have that sounds a lot like Netflix- excited to try it! Even 3 days before Valentine's Day, there were still plenty of cards to choose from, and they were re-stocking more as I was there. I love that they have all different price points. You can spend 99 cents on a card or 10 dollars- or anywhere in between, and the quality is high no matter what. They also have an amazing gift section- candles, jewelry, tea, magnets, puzzles, stuffed animals, shirts, stationery, the most beautiful wrapping paper and bags, Vera Bradley items... You name it they've got it. And the candy and chocolate- such a huge selection! From single serve truffles to Jelly Belly jelly beans to popcorn to high-end chocolates, just to name a few. Love it all. Even though the store is packed with stuff, it doesn't feel messy or crowded. It's very attractively laid out and extremely clean."
"My mom used to come here to get her jewelry and as an adult I have started going myself. I love them! I think not only are they so knowledgeable in what they are doing but all of their staff is so friendly and creative. I came in with my sister to repurpose some of our moms jewelry and they came up with the most creative ideas on how to change it while still maintaining the sentimental value. I will definitely be coming here for all of my jewelry needs in the future. I also came with my friend to pick out a push present and had a great experience. I definitely recommend making an appointment as they get super busy, especially around holidays. Totally recommend for others to come here for their jewelry needs! Whether it's buying, cleaning or trading in they are awesome in all aspects!"
"Do not let the folksy Native American jewelry and art vibe cause you to dismiss this store. Dream catchers and pottery are not on everyone's wish list, but Indian Creek Trading Company is primarily a jewelry store, so there is likely something for most people for whom one might be purchasing a gift. Though, in good conscience, I must warn potential customers about the hideous handbags also sold here; avert your eyes, and move on. There are many styles and types of jewelry here, and the excellent staff is willing to help you find exactly for what you are looking within your price range. Christina is awesome. I came in with a goal: a gift for my cousin, but that is never as easy as one would hope. She turned a pair of pierced earrings into a set of clip-ons plus a pendant. There is currently a 60% off Native American jewelry sale, so I was able to accommodate both my price range and find something that I really think my cousin will like for her birthday (and yes, I agree that it is odd that a 26 year old woman doesn't have pierced ears). They also will do jewelry repairs and replace watch batteries."
"What an eclectic and unique store! I visited here on Small Business Saturday and fell in love with the charm and feel of this business. If you are looking for something for that hard to shop for person, this is the place. They have great decor pieces, one of the kind jewelry, and it is all for an affordable price. Check out this one of a kind store for your next Christmas, Birthday, or Thankyou gift!"
"I can't say I was really wowed by this collaborative boutique as I went hunting for Mother's Day gifts while in the area. It's intriguing to have a gigantic space with a handful of local boutiques, so I like that aspect. It's really a sizable space out in Prairiefire, and easy to park around there because it's the whole development dropped right onto a gigantic field. I saw some little necklaces that say "monogram" but then only have one letter. I asked the clerk if we could complete the monogram (with middle and last initials, naturally) and she said no that's just how they are. I get that it would be tough to do that on the spot but I would gladly custom order something like that to get it right.Wasn't a ton of help inside this space on a weekday and didn't feel welcoming or memorable enough to ever pull me back in when gift shopping."
"Despite its name, Beadazzler Beads is a cool store. They used to be around the corner on Santa Fe, and I didn't know where they moved. So I was very pleased when I spotted them on 80th Street. The staff at Beadazzler Beads is very helpful. They'll answer questions if you want; they'll leave you alone to browse if you like. And browsing can take awhile, because they have a great selection of beads. Wood, metal, crystal, stone, cloisonne -- you name it, they probably have it -- as well as the clasps, wire, and other doodads you need to make cool one-of-a-kind jewelry. Let's put it this way. If this store doesn't get your creative juices flowing, you just don't have any."

First I was referred to this business by my barista so I knew I was in good hands. The selection of jewelry is just breathtaking! As a history/anthropology geek I really loved how they represented the beauty of piercings and how they showed the beauty of cults. I can't wait for my next one.

Amazing shop! I've known Jared for years and he's always cared greatly for his clients and their safety. He's a solid piercer I will always reccomend to anyone in the area.

I brought some rings needing resizing and stone resetting to Mission Watch and Jewelry Repair. My expectations were exceeded. The proprietor was very knowledgeable and personable. He did a great job on my rings, making them look brand new, turned them around quickly, and charged a fair price. I'm happy to support a small business and will return.

What a fun and cute little boutique located in Weston. I highly recommend stopping in if you're up here for a day of shopping or staying at one of the many bed and breakfasts in the area.Buffalo Ranch offers a wide variety of home decor and gift ideas which are all very unique. They carry some local artists' showcased work.

Wonderful staff. I've been to several new age stores by now but this one left a strong impression on me. Warm energy abounds from the store and the staff. I felt instantly welcomed into their space and they were very helpful, from helping me find the tarot card section to walking me and my partner back to our car after closing. As a tarot collector I was impressed by the wide variety of cards they had in stock. Titles I had only seen online - The Wild Unknown, The Linestrider Tarot, etc- were there. Most places just sell basic tarot decks and a minimal selection at that. Their tarot selection fills an entire wall although not many tarot books to come by. . However, they have a lot of other books, more than anywhere else I've been. The crystals and gems they sell are fine quality as well, especially so the Lapis and Amethysts .The store is big and they have a lot to offer. Deity statues, incense, and beautiful singing bowls to name a few.

Glad it is still here - we are running low on hallmark shops in KC.Since the tragic loss of my lovely store in PV, this has now become my Hallmark go-to store. The store is very clean and well organized. Staff is seemingly friendly...the manager is quite attentive and helpful. They don't offer helium filled balloons which is too bad...cards and balloons should come from the same store in my opinion.Really wish this place wasn't so far from home...it is not conveniently located for me but alas, it is the nearest option now that Brookside and PV have lost their Hallmark stores...hope this one isn't next!

I've only been here a couple times, but i came to find my sister a pair of earrings for her birthday. Lance was amazing and had the best customer service i've had in a while! He went above and beyond to show me everything i was looking at and point me in the right direction.

"What a fun store! Lots of beautifully curated arts, jewelry, gifts and home goods. I love how anything I picked up or inquired about, the owner (?) knew the name, where the artist was from and some sort of little anecdote. If I were pulling together a gift basket, this place would definitely be my 1st stop! Nice that they offered a day of shopping by appointment and that we were able to snag a spot. I'll be back next time I'm in KC."
"Wonderful women's boutique! They have everything from dresses and darling blouses to jeans and tees. Plenty of cute accessories and gift items too. The staff is delightful, and it's fun to shop there!"
"I had a good experience here! Only $25 to restring a somewhat complicated family heirloom pearl necklace with double strands. So worth it. The job was not a rush by any means, but it did take awhile- If you need your item by a certain time, just be really specific about it. My necklace is better than ever, it's going to be hard to break this time around!"
"My daughter's engagement ring was in desperate need of repair. JP clearly explained the process and assured her they performed all repair work in house. The ring was ready on its promised due date and the diamond is well secured. This was a first time experience and it couldn't have been better! Thanks, JP!"
"Bought a permanent bracelet and within a week it had fallen off. Owners refused to replace and instead offered me 50% off another "permanent bracelet." So basically I paid $32 for a bracelet to wear 7 days and break. So disappointing. If you claim the jewelry is permanent, you should replace if it breaks and falls off esp within this first few months. Would not recommend."
"This is a cute little shop in Waldo. We walked in by accident, but will definitely return when we are looking for a gift. The staff was very friendly and passionate about the shop and their products. They have very cute baby items, home decor and just random fun gifts!"
"After tons of visits to Iron District for food I finally wandered into Bohème after seeing that they were participating in the Yelp's Local Adventure Challenge. Perfect timing since Mother's Day was soon approaching and I needed a gift for my candle obsessed wife. A ton of great options for scents, but I went with the Coffee Bean Candle, since coffee is another of her obsessions. It actually has coffee beans in the soy wax that float around the melted pool after lighting. She has had it lit for several hours and it has barely reduced in size. It looks like this will be a long lasting gift and Bohème will be a return visit for me when needing a simple and elegant hand created gift."
"So, I'm a little bit artsy fartsy and bohemian in my tastes, but trying to shop that way in a suburban locale sometimes dead-ends one at Pier 1/World Market, or at community craft fairs that are heavy on the Longaberger baskets, plastic canvas and yarn creations, and dreamcatchers. Which is fine, unless you want something that's really fairly unusual. This is where Blue Heron Designs comes in. Big fan of this shop...unusual jewelry, accessories, and gifts, an artsy vibe...walks the fine line of being charmingly crunchy-granola-yay-fair-trade-folk-art-and-cutesy-recycled-materials-crafts without embracing a full-on, unwashed-proprietors-and-grimy-patchouli-reeking-headshop-in-a-college-town vibe. Very unique merchandise from all over the world, classy but not obnoxiously overpriced, and the service is very nice and helpful. Got my mom a sterling silver pendant with a real iridescent butterfly wing encased in glass (made by indigenous Peruvian butterfly farmers, natch), and presented it to her for Christmas. The woman wept, and I know she doesn't have anything like this already kicking around her jewelry box. They also, in warmer months, always keep a bowl of clean water out front for pooches, which I love...both as a frequent dogwalker in the vicinity, and also because such touches are just good stewardship in a community that prides itself on having a walkable downtown. Props to Blue Heron...charming shop!"
"Great place! Very clean and welcoming. COVID precautions were on point and greatly appreciated. Would return here without hesitation."
"Always my go to boutique when visiting Kansas City. The staff has always been so friendly and helpful. They have the cutest clothes and are very reasonably priced."
"I stopped into this small business (shop small, shop local!) in hopes of 1) avoiding Macy's right after Christmas, and 2) what I hoped would be a quick repair to a Christmas gift. I am so glad that I did!Snugly fitting into the corner of a small strip of storefronts on Nieman, Thompson's is offering quality jewelry and expert repair. The owner, John, quickly diagnosed my need as just a simple solder job in order to repair a fine white gold chain. That chain was holding a diamond pendant, had broken soon after it had been put around its recipient's neck, and I was very much wanting to return it to my intended love. John made that process super fast and super easy.He was fair in pricing (there was a bit of labor to correct the flaw) and did not overpromise. John agreed to get it as soon as he could and by the next morning, he called and had repaired the chain just as he had assured! I was so happy with the service and the pricing, and especially for something that I did not buy from him! Outstanding experience!Thompson's does have some beautiful pieces, and I will be sure to consult them when I take a next step and pick out another gem with which to give to my beautiful love. Thank you, John Thompson, for your wonderful local business!"
"I love this store! Such a wonderful way to allow local artists to sell their art and creative makings. More things like this in KC!!!!"
"I couldn't resist the sidewalk clearance rack when walking to my car after lunch yesterday. My friend and I stopped in and quickly realized that everything here is adorable! We were greeted by Sylvia who helped us throughout our shopping experience. She really got to know us, our sizes and what we like to wear. She was extremely attentive, bringing me different sizes and outfit ideas. She was helpful but not pushy. I purchased the perfect summer dress and will definitely be back!! Stop in for cute clothing - stick around for amazing customer service and great conversation!"
"Very nice gallery with large open rooms. Very inviting, several different artists and exhibits. Took our time and we were in and out in about half an hour. We really enjoyed the mechanical art, paintings, pottery and tile work. A few of the artists were there. Very friendly."
"Karats is Amazing ! The team has helped me out multiple times with purchases, repairs and any and all jewelry and watch needs. See them before speaking to anyone else. They have one of the largest selections of diamonds, rings and watches in Kansas City. Love their Breitling collection. If you are a watch enthusiast this is your go to destination for tons of watches. They can special order unique and hard to find watches."
"It's such a cute boutique shop! Everything was arranged beautifully, mixing old and new. The store manager was very welcoming too! Great prices."
"Clean and friendly environment. They had a great selection of items for sale and seem to really take the time to understand what you're looking for, and looking to sell. For people who're not really sure where to start the process of selling or having their items appraised these guys are the place to start!"
"More stars needed! All I needed was a jewelry 'repair', as in, my lovely wife's diamond in her engagement ring was loose in its settings. Welp, I had searched high and low for that stone before placing it on her finger, so you can bet I was highly interested in making sure it was secured on the ring. So that was my quest...until I walked into Joslin's and saw SO many different directions that I could go with this ring.I had long ago selected a fine diamond, in a solitaire cut, and had had it mounted on white gold for a simple yet elegant representation for our bond. But now, with scores of other designs, I felt like the diamond should stand out with a backing chorus of smaller accompaniments. A young man (if only I would have gotten his name) patiently showed me plenty of options until I found a split style in which her ring could slide into and stand out. I wanted the two rings to be 'connected' which turned out to be an easy jewelry process, thus making my decision for me. I wasn't really turned off by the 'price tag' attached to the split ring I had chosen, but then I was told that the prices were negotiable. Hey, I like saving a buck as much as the next guy, but I was quoted a price that was about 2/3 of the price on that sticker, so sign me up! Oh, and before I forget, when I originally said I was in the store to have a jewelry repair, I was told, 'Sure, I can do that for free right now'?. Yeah, so I was hooked at the ring price and the service clearly backed up their commitment to their customer. I left the ring I had brought in, gave my contact info, and was promised a next-day turnaround.Next day, sure as you please, I got a call and went to fetch the ring. I was tickled at the result, the diamond set amongst smaller diamonds, with the two pieces soldered together and fit to the size of the ring I brought in. The owner, Gary, chatted me up while I checked out and assured me that he was just as vested in my purchase as I was and that now my ring was 'part of their family' and should we need any adjustments or repair, then bring it in and Joslin's would take care of it. I was pretty much in awe of the service, the result, and the experience and I couldn't wait to return the ring to my wife. So I told her that I had gotten 'her ring fixed', just like I said I would do, and she was super-pleased with the result. THAT was what I wanted, and Joslin's team of professionals made that happen. We will be back in the future and will absolutely refer any jewelry needs their way!"
"Great selection. Cool Chiefs accessories. I went there for an 87 ring like Taylor's. I ended up with a ring, like Taylor's. Then I bought a Chief's hair bow, like Taylor's. Holy moly I could've bought a whole lot more! I'm in love with this shop. Eeeeee everything."
"Now THIS is my kind of shop! Filled with local and national art, there is a wide range of items perfect for you or that special gift.I wandered in one night as a beautiful ceramic bowl in the window beckoned to me. I purchased it and now want to go back and get the matching coasters as it looks so beautiful in my home. I also like that you get a small card that tells you about the artist, where he/she is located and what kind of work they specialize in.They have a wide range of products; ceramics, jewelry, candles, paintings and fabric. And at a wide variety of price points you are sure to find something you like. And on my recent visit, they opened a more casual shop down the basement that has more hand made goods but at lower price points. They have some felted bags down there that really caught eye, but also candles, stationary and other items. The staff here is also terrific! I was out for dinner when I spied the bowl I bought. I didn't want to carry it around with me all night so they were great on holding it for me to pick up the next day. And when I showed up, the bowl was already to go and the woman even remembered me from the night before. So if you're in the market for a one of a kind item, check out Phoenix Gallery! Great selection at reasonable prices!"
"Had an amazingly good experience with Renee at Jeweled Legacy, she is amazingly knowledgeable, and takes the time to explain things! No pressure, no unpleasant tactics, I felt like I was talking to a close friend, and I have been to many jewelry stores before, this is by far my best experience! An amazing little gem of a store! Can not recommend her enough!"
"This is a Leawood co-op boutique which houses several stores inside. The stores are all local. They do not necessarily sell all local wares, but the clothing, jewelry and accessories, shoes, knick knacks, beauty products, candles and even plants are definitely unique. I shopped here at the beginning of the summer for a Blue Valley School event and I get tons of compliments on everything which I purchased. The prices were reasonable. I was there for a special evening event, but they are open late on Thursdays and until 6 on other week nights and Saturday. Sunday hours are noon to 5. They have items for all age groups - from teenagers to middle-age.I would definitely recommend checking it out if you want tio find unique clothing that is more main stream (i.e., no hippie/goth stuff here) for a reasonable price."
"I'd heard of Crescent Springs, considering I go to the Yarn Shop and Harpers, I'd know where Crescent Springs was located, and already visited it. My friend and I were walking around old Overland Park, and I said, "There's crescent Springs!" and we immediately went inside. She knew the owner, I didn't..another oddity, cause I know alot of the people who are into metaphysics, this little store got over looked. I walked inside, and felt very much at home, and a sense of peace wafted over my head. Immediately I was taken away by the meditative products, the bedspreads. I loved those, and I want one so bad. I like everything about Crescent Springs, the crystals, the jewelry the tarot card. She had the deck I recently ordered from Amazon. If I had known, I'd have gotten it locally. She even has my Gummy Bear Tarot deck (yes, I like tarot cards, I love collecting them, and I use the Gummy Bear Tarot if someone asks). The smells, the oils, the atmosphere just whisped me away. So many oils, and you don't need to ask, "Are they real?" They are. And flower essences. Incense, blouses, all from the '60's era. Just very cool items, and useful tools. She does crystal healing sessions, and I'm participating in one. She also does readings, and has Akashic Records meet ups. This is the place I need to hang out at more. I intend to now that I know where it's located. I loved this store. There's parking around the back, and it is a tiny store, as some are in this area."
